I like all singers of Nightwish. Of cause they all sound different but no one is better than the other one. They all have different but beautiful voices.
I think, personally, that Anette was the most adorable of the Nightwish singers. The way she was like “Emppu!” when it was Emppu’s solo time was actually so cute ahishdkahshshhd
It’s very hard to sing that song with full voice and Anette did it excellently! Tarja was singing it with her opera voice, but believe me 🙏🏻singers will understand me that this kind of singing is much more difficult. Respect to Anette, she really did amazing and hard job!

Acho os discos com a Anette as grandes obras-primas da banda, ótima cantora e com uma voz encantadora. Ela foi perfeita enquanto a banda precisava, para aquele momento. Say whatever you want, but this version of Nemo is actually really good. I liked it. Of course Annette's version of Nemo is different than Tarja's - different voices, different manner of singing, that's right, but the way Annette sang it - the song was so full of emotion it got into my heart. Really touching.
While Tarja is a technically really good singer, she's not always in contact with her emotions while singing. It showed when she was singing Nemo. Anette brings a lot of emotion and vulnerability into the song, and that's why it touches us in a different way.
Even though the song is a bit above her normal range, Annette managed to give her unique flavor to the song. I love her as much as I love Tarja and Floor!!! ♥
Annette had such a awesome high range that really game certain songs a beautiful tone to it and this is one of them, Escapest is the other. I got the pleasure to see her live twice and I always hated how much the fans tore her apart because she was after Tarja just remember it was the band that picked her not the other way around.
According to UA-cam videos of singers vocal rangers, Anette has the widest range of Nightwish female singers. Practically they are all identical: Anette gets a note lower than Floor, Floor gets a note lower than Tarja, Tarja gets a note higher than Floor and Anette. But singers seldom visit their lowest and highest notes. So they are in practice identical. It's a non-issue between them.

Anette was pregnant. And yes she had also personal stress, if I recall right, she had custody fight over her son with her 1st husband in 2012. I think Anette sings great version of Nemo here. Tarja is my fav Nightwish singer but I always loved Anette too. Many of my fav Nightwish songs are by her. Following her now in THE DARK ELEMENT, her new band.

This is actually a better performance I've seen of Annette singing this. She dosen't hold a candle to Tarja, or even Floor but definitely did her best and that's all I can ask for
I wouldn't say it like that. The clarity and lightness of her voice is unique and expecting every metal singer to have classical training just because Tarja has it is absurd.

Anette lost custody of a child and while performing the Poet and the Pendulum burst into tears and ran off stage. It didn't help that Anette's Swedish accent was so pronounced. Even Tarja's earliest Finnish accent wasn't quite that bad. Admittedly, Swedish and Finnish are light years apart. Listening to Anette these days (even live) with the Dark Element her accent is less, her pop sound is less, and she sings much better. She also looks healthy. I wasn't a fan of hers in Nightwish. I agree with most who say that she was not a good fit.

Over 2000 girls applied for the singer job, for almost 2 years they compared, they had the best singers brought to Finland and test DPP songs. When I listen to Dark Passion Play and Imaginaerum, I don’t think there is another person who could have sung those songs better than her. I really, honestly think so, and the rest of the band does, as well." DPP and Imaginaerum both got very good reception from professional critics, you can see it in Wikipedia page of these albums. DPP sold second most globally (after Tarja's "Once) and in Finland it sold 5 x platinum by 2010, being the most selling metal album in the country ever, it is the only NW-album that sold platinums outside Finland (Germany and Hungary). Imaginaerum is the 3rd most selling NW-album. Anette was very good for Nightwish.
All three ladies that have been with Nightwish have stunning voices! All different and unique. And I have my favorite songs from all three. However, to me this was not a good song for Anette to sing. In my opinion, she sounds like she is struggling through it even with the changes made for her. Nevertheless, she is an incredible singer, but I never felt Nightwish was right for her. I've enjoyed her in her solo career more.

Floor suits Nightwish the best overall. But Nemo, Over The Hills And Far Away, I Wish I Had An Angel and The Phantom of The Opera are Tarja's songs and they're invincible to Floor and Anette.
I like Anette’s version better than Floors too. Even if here her voice strains and is flat at times she could obviously do a solid job on the song. Floor sings in a way that doesn’t fit the song at all. This is different from Tarja. yet still works for the sonf
My least favorite singer of NW....thank God people seem to like it and even get emotional hearing her. I find it very painful to listen to. Saw her live once with NW...and never again. Saw them with Floor, what a difference and what an energy. I am happy for you guys she is bringing out solo albums, but she did not belong in NW. No clue what they were thinking when they hired her.

I think Anette brought a different style to nightwish, that made us apreciate Floor more, as if it was Floor directly after Traja. And I really like her jodeling in "bye bye beautiful" for example, and think that her interpratatation of the songs in dark passion play is the best. But when she tries to perfom Traja songs, it is simply horrible, especially live. I saw her at WOA, and it was garbage. To me Anette is the weak link. Traja paved the ground and I respect her for that, and she is a really ggod singer, just not very exciting. If you heared one song with Tarjy, you heared them besically all. Floor is the multi-talent that Tuomases kind of music needs, she gives them different colors and meanings by the way she sings every passage. She is the best!
Nightwish war einmal.....Tarja kann NIEMAND ersetzen. Anette war eine aussichstreiche Nachfolgerin, aber die ist selbst ausgestiegen und diese momentane, gepiercte und tätowierte, Putte hat noch nicht mal annähernd das Zeug eine Anette oder wohl gar eine Tarja zu ersetzen. Schade um eine richtig geniale Metalband, die sich selbst zerfleischt hat......

They lowered the song 4 semitones for Anette...her higher register is mostly chest voice, head voice would reach higher but isn't developed enough

I prefer Floor, but between Tarja and Anette I am very doubtful, as there are times when I prefer Anette and, in others, Tarja.

Floor suits Nightwish the best overall. But Nemo, Over The Hills And Far Away, I Wish I Had An Angel and The Phantom of The Opera are Tarja's songs and they're invincible to Floor and Anette.
I like Anette’s version better than Floors too. Even if here her voice strains and is flat at times she could obviously do a solid job on the song. Floor sings in a way that doesn’t fit the song at all. This is different from Tarja. yet still works for the sonf
This concert is so awkward. You can tell their relationship is strained, quite like their 2005 Lowlands gig.

I have just discover Nightwish this January 2021. Anette sings well, but she reminds me a pop singer. Tarja was a incredible.
My least favorite singer of NW....thank God people seem to like it and even get emotional hearing her. I find it very painful to listen to. Saw her live once with NW...and never again. Saw them with Floor, what a difference and what an energy. I am happy for you guys she is bringing out solo albums, but she did not belong in NW. No clue what they were thinking when they hired her.

She's not even staying in tune! She's good in the studio where they can fix her voice. She has 0 charisma! That said, her solo career is great sounding! All I can say is Thang God for Floor!

Quando um cantor tá sofrendo pra cantar, a única coisa que dá é agonia. Agonia de pensar que cantar desse jeito pode arruinar as cordas vocais de maneira irreversível.
I think Anette brought a different style to nightwish, that made us apreciate Floor more, as if it was Floor directly after Traja.
And I really like her jodeling in "bye bye beautiful" for example, and think that her interpratatation of the songs in dark passion play is the best.
But when she tries to perfom Traja songs, it is simply horrible, especially live.
I saw her at WOA, and it was garbage.
To me Anette is the weak link.
Traja paved the ground and I respect her for that, and she is a really ggod singer, just not very exciting. If you heared one song with Tarjy, you heared them besically all.
Floor is the multi-talent that Tuomases kind of music needs, she gives them different colors and meanings by the way she sings every passage. She is the best!

Nightwish war einmal.....Tarja kann NIEMAND ersetzen.
Anette war eine aussichstreiche Nachfolgerin, aber die ist selbst ausgestiegen und diese momentane, gepiercte und tätowierte, Putte hat noch nicht mal annähernd das Zeug eine Anette oder wohl gar eine Tarja zu ersetzen.
Schade um eine richtig geniale Metalband, die sich selbst zerfleischt hat......
So nasal sounding. Glad Floor is the new vocalist now. Anette is good for DPP and Imaginarium songs, but she should never sing older Nightwish songs.
