Brian would be a lead singer in any other band. He's a great singer in addition to a phenomenal guitarist. Those beautiful layered Queen vocals wouldn't be the same without Brian and Roger's voices blending with Freddie's.

I just seen it 2 hours ago, i almost cried.. it's awesome, i wish i could had been in the crowd at Live Aid.. i will forever bow in front of our Queen.
The story is a bit altered in the movie, but nonetheless it's a mesmerising movie. Freddie did not know that he has AIDS until 1987, so 2 years after the live aid. Also, they went in concerts for almost a year before live aid (so they weren't "rusty"). The way that they presented the facts in the movie had a much bigger impact on the crowd. Really nice movie! I love it!

It's haunting to know he died way before his time and wrote this song. I never had the opportunity to see Queen in concert, but I was born in the late 1900's, so I got to experience the music and it's evolution. Looking at how movies and TV shows sample music from different genres and decades, I'm able to show my daughter where the original songs came from and let her listen to the whole song. So far, she loves them. Under Pressure is her favorite from Queen.
Brian May wrote this song, but Freddie performed it beautifully, his voice gave this song a dimension that no other voice ever could.

One of the most underated Queen Songs of all time
When my Nan was sick with cancer she often laid in bed very quiet and withdrawn. She never sung any songs in her late days but one day we had the music channel on when "Who wants to live forever" came on. She was a massive Queen fan. Her eyes opened, she sat up straight and she started singing every lyric. I remember it haunting me so well because she must have felt every lyric so deeply at that time. I'll always think of her through Queen's music. She asked for "One year of love" to be played at her funeral

99% of comments here are going to focus on Freddie's undeniable talent. Yet let not forget the rest of the band. It's May's composition. The glorious unique tone of May's hand-built Red Special guitar adds an extra dimension to this track. Deacon and Taylor prove their flexibility in holding the tempo to whatever the other two threw at them to play and I imagine they had their input too to complete a track as polished as this. Its all a Kind of Queen Magic !!
all outstanding in their own right not sure if freddie could have done it without them although freddie was one of the greatest showman on stage
Queen was always one of the most collaborative bands in Rock and Roll. Every single member of the band wrote hit songs. May and Taylor sang some of the songs. Freddie played piano and guitar on songs, etc. It definitely wasn't a one man show.
Yes every Queen fan knows this and we all love to brag about Freddie's talent and we know that the song is written by Bri and we know that Roger and Deacy were a GIANT part if Queen Deacy claimed he couldn't sing but when I heard him sing it sounds good Roger and Brian sometimes sang songs and Freddie has that wonderful amazing voice and amazing piano skills and he played guitar a little.

Bri- We Will Rock You
Rog- Radio GaGa
Deacy- Another One Bites The Dust
I agree that people often forget the three that are standing in Freddie's spectacular shadow. I truly believe that Brian May is one of the most underrated rock guitarists of all time.

The first time I heard I this song was when my late husband played it on our wedding night. I can truthfully say I don't think I ever cried so hard before or since that night. Dragon, wherever you are, you shall always have a special place in my heart, forever 💕
