Thanks very much for sharing the journey!!! The insert of the children's curiosity was Wonderfull! When I saw the date appear on the tool, I was in awe!
Realy enjoy your videos, been a carpenter all my life as were the last seven generations of my family. Its important that people understand how things were done years ago but men of great skill continue the good work John
Dear Matthias, how very wonderful to share your passion for a craft as old as man with your children who by all account seem to share their father's passion for all things made from wood. Das ist sehr, sehr shon. I enjoy your style of presentation & look forward to seeing more beautiful things; perhaps building a cabin in the Schwarzwald ( in a mini series) along with your family perhaps??? keep the ideas flowing; you're doing great.Frohes neues Jahr to all.
"Sawdust Cookies", that was particularly funny to me for some reason. It was nice that you showed the old tools and their environment. They are some of the tools that helped build a way of life for some, while building things that contributed to some other people's enjoyment of life. The tools helped facilitate others to work through things that advanced civilization in so many ways. - - - - Man makes tools and tools advance men. - If that is not a quote from someone famous, it should have been. - - - Thank you for sharing your experiences with us. - - - - From the 1, in the title, I can only hope you are going to share another video.
Beautiful. I love how the small child always looks at things so closely and intensly. He liked the reciprocating action of that machine.

Awesome talk on those old tools. I collect them here in the USA. That collection is much bigger than mine.
Old tools, tell stories. Very cool.
Some real treasure there! Ive been enjoying your videos :). Thank you.
And not just the kids enjoy it...Thanks
So very interesting to see how very old technology is still practical and used today! Seeing the kids discover was heartwarming.
Really like your vids about tools, please make some more about your workshop!
+LoverOfPhotography The problem is, that my workshop isn't as well organized as it should be if I wanted to make a video about it. But I will see.
Are those kids suppose to represent how adults would feel in that shop? Enjoyable post, way to use w=fd.
