I don't know if you're the best craftsman in the world, but you put on a heck of a show. Much love and respect. (And it's good to see you well.)
Molto bravo veramente. Mario from Itali ❤
Were nicely
Your table is fantastic, both in appearance and function. Great project and carpentry skills.
Thanks
Grandpa Amu!! Congratulations on your workshop!!! It looks amazing, all your tools at the ready!! Wonderful bench, your craftsmanship for working with wood is absolutely astounding. Keep up the great work, my family and I enjoy watching your talented hands working so hard to craft something functional and built to last.
Thank you for what you do!
this guy can build better furniture than some of the youtube "Pro's" with a hammer and a rusty fork.
So beautiful.MAking something like this... Wow!
very good job done excellent
Unbelievable skills!
There is no such thing as scrap wood !! One man's junk is another man's treasure !!
“I made a table that is strong!” pound pound pound 😀
Thank you for liking
I would like to have that as a table in my home !
The master at work. Young in body, wise in mind.
No glue, no nails, no fine tune chiselling, looks easy, but few people can do it. What a master!!!
There definitely was glue though.....
😁😁
Thank you so much for sharing. Thanks god from time to time we come across such genuine masters. They remind us what the pure art is. I enjoyed watching this video
That’s the kind of table I would love to have…strong, hand crafted and well built!
I did one similar using fence posts but with a kitchen laminate top and a sheet of MDF.
To make this workbench from waste wood with minimal tools is an achievement in itself. In particular, no saw table, no planing bench, everything with hand tools
Thanks for liking it. Traditional Chinese carpentry
You are a global treasure and inspiration.
That is a beautiful bench.
Gosh, I’m so guilty because I had been spoiling and watch this video and now I’m spoiled! So admire your talent with patience dedication and passion creatively. You’re master highly respect.
Thanks!
WOW!! A SUPER DUTY WORK BENCH!! LOVE IT!! CAN PUT ANY PROJECT ON THIS BEAUTIFUL WORKBENCH!!
A VISE WILL HELP SAVR TIME AND MAKE IT EASY AND STRONG FOR GLUING AND HOLD WOOD IN PLACE.
GREAT VIDEO!! GREAT IDEA AND USE OF WOOD!! THE SPLINES, ON UNDERSIDE MAKES IT VERY STRAIGHT!!
Grandpa Amu, You are really and truly a master craftsman in carpentry. I thank the Creator God for you and your skills and abilities Please continue to keep up the good work that you are doing and God bless.Take care.
Beautiful work .....
Ive watched many of his videos! Hes up there with the very best of them
No saw curf on a six foot rip cut. Never see that before.
I think you've never sawn a log in your life. Why would you see a saw kerf when the camera view was perpendicular to the saw blade? The only people who could see the kerf was the people cutting it, because they were in the same plane as the the cutting edge. The camera wasn't. And was it a standard logging blade? When sharp, no saw marks.
A bench fit for the Master Carpenter that made it!
YES,so good
Skill, patience, experience and the ritual of making. Just how lovely is this
Scrap wood ? Old logs/posts more like it !
This man is amazing.
That's a table many of us long for! And what makes that especially true is that it's made from wood being given a second use. Amazing!
Very cool !!

UA-cam is forbidden in China. How is possible for Amu still keep posting on UA-cam?
Is it banned in Hong Kong?
Why is it so wide? Also, are your saw blades made by a blacksmith? If so, would it be possible for you to show us that process?
I admire Grandpa's fitness, skill and creativity.
❤️❤️❤️Thanks
Piękna robota
what kind of wood is that?
Clapi-pěkná práce!Z jakého druhu dřeva jste to vyráběli?
Where is festool, fancy jigs, table saw, and etc? I thought those tools can create great products
I don't use that many tools
@@GrandpaAmu-WoodArtist I know I was being facetious.
Your a GENIUS I BET AND WELL TRAVELLED.
I'm guessing this is not his official channel, just someone leeching views.
Yes there is, it's called skill.
I’d rather work smart than hard. Life is too short
Only after decades of experience can someone make mortise and tenon by hand and eye successfully fit . Grandpa Amu what type of wood is the bench made of ?
Poorly titled video. I had no idea that this woodworker was building a workbench. Mention "workbench" and you will many more viewers. I would love to see his (your?) philosophy of benches. What kind of wood was it made from? What were your work holding requirements? Would it help to have the legs in the same plane as the top? Was there not a frame saw or bandsaw powered by water or electrical motor near your home to do the laborious work of breaking down and milling the stock? In any case, many thanks for posting this. Beautiful work. John Q.
Thank you for your suggestion, I will change the title immediately
Your a GENIUS I BET AND WELL TRAVELLED and BRAINEY.
Used electric drill, why not also use electric saw?
Vovô Amu vai ter sempre o meu respeito
I guess an electric saw wasn't in Grandpa's budget.
Sorry but... Why You did it outside, on the sand if You have much better conditions indoor?
This demonstrates that power tools are NOT required to produce good work. One should always master hand tools before using power tools. Your hands have the skill, not the tools.
I guess they didnt film the part splitting the logs that supplied those 8 x 3 boards? Or hand fitting the dovetails? And I dont really think hand sawing logs to suit the job at hand is "making something out of scrap wood
If you had looked closely, you would have seen those logs came out of a building, problably a basic rural farm house. In their previous life, these logs were cut, debarked, and dried. Then tenons were cut into the ends. They were probably either rafters, or simple fence posts. So yeah, they were scrap wood that came out of a structure. You could hear how dry they were when they were off loaded, because the logs rang out as they fell on top of each other. He was lucky, and probably got them cheap.
Do all the sawing by hand and then bring out the electric drill and planer. LMAO.
what a stupid and misleading title !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! In the woodworker world those don't qualify as scrap...not by far... the work on the other hand, very nice.
can't this guy go down to the local harbor freight and buy some cheap Chinese tools like the rest of us ...lets see him get frustrated using junk tools
Utter nonsense. Why got to all the effort to cut with traditional saw and method then get his cordless drill out to drill some simple holes.
Cruel
maybe he could afford drill only, which is relatively cheap… Do not be negative if don’t know. Peace
He was using forstner bits. And he used a bow drill to take out the nails. Is that primitive enough for you?
This guy is so sad right now that he lost hipster credibility by not using a brace and auger.
Great good bench, great work thank you so much
Another clownery - on the ends you can see marks from a circular saw, the assistant uses some kind of hand-held device with a drill to remove nails, and then a screwdriver in the frame. Who is this nonsense aimed at?
Its aimed at us
Do you like being idiots?
And the board's have been through a planer. You can see the snipe marks on the top when he's putting them together
@@adeh503lol. He has an electric handplaner.
Unbelievable skill!
good work!!!!!, thank for your contribution.... greetings 👍👍👍👌💪
Very nice.
