The weather is a perfect balance of everything. not too much snow, not too much heat and the monsoons are always welcome. Depending on who you ask of course.
Great video! We’ve been considering Prescott a lot! We have four kids and really worry about the rehabs and half way houses there. Not sure it’s a good place to raise kids I hear a lot about people “sticking around” after rehab or leaving rehab altogether and hanging around. This is the only thing that keeps us from there. That along with AZ drought issues. Can’t wait for more info/vids!
@@livinginprescott this is so awesome. We live in the valley and have been wanting to move but that’s the only thing that’s keeps us from making the jump. We’ve even considering Boise because it’s a similar climate and reminds us what Prescott could be in the future. We’d love to stay close enough to family and not have to move out of state. Looking forward to that video. I’ll click on the bell! Thanks!
the base of employers in Prescott is limiting...unless of course you want to work in the hospitality or elder care industries. The average age of Prescott is 60+. I'm 65 and find it depressing. It's like an old folks home with 45,000 residents. The food scene is also pretty limiting. Bar food galore. BigA's restaurant is really good and inventive; El Gato is worn out and the rest of the food scene is like the town in general...not very sophisticated. The town is also over run with Trumpers, which is one reason why it's not a very sophisticated scene here.
My wife and I are praying about moving up here from Tucson. She's born and raised in Tucson and I moved here with my family from NJ about 16 years ago. We went up to Prescott for a wedding last weekend and loved it.
You can never guess how winter will be around here. Winter of 2018-19 was crazy. When I was a kid before the Indian fire, we would get feet of snow down the white spars, but after that fire and the Rodeo-Chedeski fire which burned almost half a million acres, winter here has changed a lot.
I lived in Prescott in 1967 68 it snowed 5 days and nights straight. Had to shovel off the roof if the house and buildings down town some caved in. Lol
@@livinginprescott average is 18 5 according to the chamber it used to be 2 feet I have one of the old visitors guides. My mom and dad lived there from 1993 to 2011. Most years it was over 20 inches still not bad though
Yah I don’t listen to your videos. I just watch them with the captioning so I can skip the music. But thanks for making them!!! Lots of family in AZ and heading there in January!! ❤️

Good mild climate in my opinion.

@@livinginprescott thank you so much! We plan on going up there in mid-late September. I would love her information.
I’d take running into a Prescott homeless person over a Phoenix street bum anyway. They are a lot nicer in Prescott by far!

Im thinking about moving up there also. Do you go to the potters house or the door?
@@youngrevival9715 great, just what we need, more right-wing whacko bible thumpers
"praying"??? either do it or stay where you are. God doesn't have a plan, just do it or don't do it.
12.5 inches a year is a piece of cake....
Has the humidity risen in recent years or is it still pretty low?
It is pretty low. I haven’t noticed any uptick in that regard.
Winter 2022-23 we have gotten about 4+ feet of snow ….fyi we are about 6 miles south and 1000 ft higher than Prescott .
Interesting video, but you need to tone down the music. it is extremely loud compared to the voices.
Thanks for the heads up much appreciated.
On Wikipedia it shows ave snow 18.5. The chamber as well. Most years from 1993 until 2010 the area got over 20 inches of snow.

As someone planning to move here from Chicago, may as well be Florida lol that ain't winter weather
That’s the beauty of it. We get to enjoy the snow and not have to suffer with it. Thanks is for watching!
