It's about time this showed up in my youtube feed! Nice visual coherence across the device ( ie. looks real good) and some nasty sounds demonstrated. Gets my tick of approval.
I use a CNC and the panels are 3mm acrylic. A small end mill engraves all the text and lines and a larger one cuts the holes and the panel cutout. I clean it up to remove all the bits of plastic and then fill it with white acrylic paint. Squeegee it off, let it dry and use a mild abrasive cleaner to clear off the unwanted paint. Finally, I spray a few coats of satin clear spray. It's take a while to finalize that approach. I only put it up a couple of days back. I'm taking orders - ha ha ha
Excellent aesthetics. It's fairly common for DIYers (myself included) to neglect how their synths look.
I can understand that as it takes more time to do the case and panel work than the electronics and you just want to get on to using it.
Wow this is awesome. Nice work!
It was a great project to construct.
Outstanding!
Cheers.
Beautiful instrument!
Thank you. It's a great achievement to get a nice finish.
I love the look as well as the routing and features. How did you create the panels?

Make me one.

It's a bit slack of me not to have more audio demos. You can hear it on one of my bands albums - dftm.bandcamp.com/album/jaunty-alien-musings
