I have finally had success doing this technique thanks to you and rewatching your tutorial. I have the stamping wheel which is brilliant and I got myself a spellbinders mister….and with all that I did the technique. Thanks Heidi for all the fabulous videos you do. Love them and I’m learning a lot through you. Love and Hugs
Heidi you are funny. Of course we stayed with you. You are a peoples crafter. We make the same mistakes so there’s no need to feel embarrassed. I’ve been to my crafts club this morning and had the instructions to make a fancy card. We had to score 6 pieces of card the same, even though it was explained to us and we had written instructions, I scored two pieces wrong!. Luckily I was able to rescore it and managed to make the card. And I’ve been crafting 20 years.
Lovely ideas Heidi, so very impressed and pleased you soldiered on. Your little errors do far more to help because you take the trouble to find out why, that's awesome so thank you. Christine in Lancs.
Lovely technique Heidi. I've done similar ages ago but the overstamping in black and adding the gold foil takes it to a whole other level. Thanks so much for sharing. Xx
I've loved watching this video, and it's definitely NOT a disaster! It's great to watch someone 'real' making mistakes that we could make, and showing how to correct them :) I think FB is going to be saturated with cards using this technique, thank you :)
Heidi, you started your video with we are all in this together...and we take has a learning lesson. These cards turned out great and thank you for sharing this technique!🤠♥♥♥♥👎🤠
Wow. Amazing techniques. Love em. I've made the card error before and no doubt I'll do it again ha ha. Not being perfect makes you perfect. Don't ever change. Thanks for sharing 😊
Heidi they are stunning. I did stay till the end as we all make mistakes. I was crafting today and I did not get one thing as they all went in the bin. . Lol mine were bad will definitely be having a go as I have a lot of big stamps and don’t use them. Thanks as always. Don’t stand too much Heidi let your ankle heal.
Heidi, You didnt embarrass yourself at all, you carried on & you made the card as it was meant to be, its good to see when it dosnt work out perfectly, just as it doesn't with us. Great tutorial thank you. I do have sympathy with Andy, you have so little time together, & your relationship with him is way more important than making a tutorials for us.🥰
Wow Heidi, love these, don’t be so hard on yourself you didn’t make yourself look stupid, we all have days like these and it was good to see you carry on with it, and you weren’t on your own, always stay till the end ❤️❤️
First of all you did not look stupid and you did not embarrass yourself. You kept it real, we all make mistakes. I appreciate you sharing these techniques. Thank you. I am definitely going to give this a try. I stayed till the end. You were not talking to yourself 🤣
These are so awesome!! What a great technique!!!! You didn’t make a fool of yourself so don’t be embarrassed!! You demonstrated what happens when you use the wrong paper for us!!! ❤❤❤❤❤
Love this technique Heidi, you are too hard on yourself, I know I am on myself, we make mistakes but we learn from them and I like the first Gus too.. thanks for showing us this ‘faults n all’ my lovely friend. Take care. Sandy 🌸
I love watching your video's Heidi, showing what goes wrong does, in the kindess possible way, make me smile. It shows you are human and down to earth, it also makes me feel that my mistakes are normal as we all make them. No need at all to feel embarrassed. For what's worth I thought the first Gus was perfect. xx
I was just thinking the very same thing and I appreciated the fact that she left it in the video. At least this way when I try to do this technique if I screw it up I'll know how to fix it or what's wrong and I appreciate that most of all. It pains me to think that it would bother you Heidi because let me tell you we're all human and none of us care about the mistakes we truly appreciate all of the hard work you put into these videos, they're just brilliant x
Hands up who hasn't made a mistake! Love how you retrieved Gus - he looked gorgeous, also, it's always interesting to see what effects using different papers etc do. They're all awesome & I'm definitely going to try this technique. Thanks for showing us
These are gorgeous. I always stay til the end and you didn't make a fool of yourself. I was batch making cards while I was watching you. I did all the stamping on the inside of my card bases 24 times. I was so glad to be finished. Then I realized I did all of the stamping in the wrong orientation. 😐We all make mistakes. Thanks so much for sharing.
Oh Heidi! These cards are fabulous! I love them! You didn’t embarrass yourself at all by the way. It’s funny as I’m watching this on Saturday night, and had to rewind the video, as I was snoring like Lexie, but not from boredom, just that I’ve been very busy today! I craft whenever I want, but I get to see Shane 24/7! 😂❤
Totally love this tutorial-warts and all. Someone once said to me 'the person who never made a mistake never made anything'. Will be giving this technique a go this weekend. Thank you Heidi
Heidi, you are so clever. I actually went Wow, when you put the black on the owl. Absolutely beautiful. I will be trying this technique out at the weekend. xxxx
Hi Heidi, we have all made mistakes and we learn from them. We all learnt from your error so nothing to be embarrass about. I love your video; thank you so much for sharing. xx
Oh heidi you are not stupid at all no need to be embarrassed we all make mistakes I love watching you while having breakfast I even talk back to you . And I love to have a go at the cards you make going to show the ladies at Mt my craft club this as we will all have a go xxx
You’re not alone, I’ve done exactly the same thing - tried to do a watercolour technique on non-watercolour paper and I couldn’t figure out why it wasn’t working! 😂
Loved this video ❤. Personally I find it disheartening to watch ‘perfect’ videos because I know it won’t be like that when I do it! And you show us how to correct it when we have made the mistake. So useful!! Xx
I love your videos! ❤ I just want to let you know how grateful I am that you include the attempts that work out less than perfectly - they are in many ways more instructive than those that are perfect. 🥰
Don’t be hard on yourself, it helps me to realise I’m not the only one who screws up occasionally! We can all learn from each other! Fab tutorial and a technique I’ve not seen before x
Today was not a disaster Heidi. You gave made the same paper mistakes we all have made one or twice ( or more) . Love your stuff Heidi. You are inspirational gal. Much love Allie
The tree is my favorite! And you feel bad about what happened with the owl, but it was a teaching experience for those who don’t know how different papers matter
I think it’s very important to put time and energy into your relationship. I speak from experience. I lost my husband because I spent all my time and energy on school when I was in college and my husband felt lonely and unimportant. He ended up leaving me. Sure it was more complicated than that but I felt that was what it boiled down to.

Tijdens de film zit ik te quilten. Ook een grote hobby van mij. En zo al kijkend doe ik veel ideeën op. Fijn dat ik je ontdekt heb.😊

Interesting technique! Have you tried misting the inked stamp before stamping on to the card stock? Maybe mist the inked stamp as well as the card stock.
I like seeing things go wrong and how you effortlessly make an adjustment. It helps me to know it's okay when I mess up too! What glue pen is that yo use with the foil?
Brilliant, thank you Heidi, after seeing this, I must get the owl stamp, and try your technique. One question, what did you use to highlight the feathers, it made so much difference x
Love this technique. Do you use 100 lb smooth hot pressed water colour card for everything ? I know the Tim Holtz paper had a rough and a smooth side !

I love this. Never seen this technique before. So cool. My anniversary next week. Gues what hes getting lol. Yep stayed til end. What watercolour card do you recommend.
I love this effect. I’m sure when Lou showed this a couple of weeks back she sprayed the stamp and not the paper? I was probably half asleep so ignore me if I’m wrong 🙈🤦♀️. Great cards Heidi x. The Weather here in Protaras right now is like July. I’d rather your weather tbh.
Heidi thank you for these techniques! I can't wait to try them. Embarrassed to say, I haven't used foils, so this technique intrigued me the most. May I ask what type of pen you used on the tree card?
