Heidi, the reason you "don't like this 80lb flimsy stuff" is because you are realizing one of the most difficult lessons we learn as crafters. Sometimes it's just plain easier to use the better product. It performs well and aides us in our creative efforts instead of adding challenges where we don't need them or where there usually aren't any. Another thought I have to share. Don't forget to wipe down the exterior of your ink pads. This could be where your fingers get "mucky". I drove myself crazy for years before I realized this. I LOVE your fearless creativity. Art is happy making and your videos are too❣️❣️❣️
Lavinia designs such GORGEOUS stamps! I’ve seen this technique before but YOUR technique with the stacked geometric cover plates are outstanding! The gray and solid color mats make the project look MAGNIFICENT!
Hi Heidi, see if the fire brigade will come and assess your electrical setup to ensure that you are safe. It's amazing how many appliances you can use. Thanks for a brilliant idea. Kind regards Jackie M 😊
I love how down to earth you are and how relateable you are thank you for everything you teach please can you say where you got your glue dispenser please ❤x
You are right... chalk paint, although pretty, is not everyone's cup of tea. They are chalky and flat in color. But for somethings I am sure they are perfect, just not for everything. I use 80 Lb card stock for layering and panels on top of the card base of 110 lb. As a base card it is thin for a card. But when you stack as you are doing it's ok. Love the technique.
These are lovely...So glad my card to you inspired you to crack on & finally make this video, it is such a lovely technique. The only part I didn't enjoy was gluing the layers together as I've not got one of those glue guns but it makes it look so much easier & quicker xx 😊❤
Just a tip. The time to use the roller tool is before you take the die cut out of the metal p,ate. It gives you more control and you can press harder over a trash can if you want. It takes 95% off in many cases. Love this design!
Thanks Heidi for your quick response will have a look on Temu for the anti static although I get lost on there snd spend a fortune 😂😂 does it have a brush on the top? Xx
Love this technique, i saw something similar but it turned so fiddley as they used foam tape, needless to say it ended in the bin, this I could do, thank you
Wonderful cards Heidi and beautiful stamps. What a great technique - will definitely try this. Have you ever tried tumble drier sheets on your dies before you cut? They seem to cut well - especially intricate dies and can be easier to get the pieces out. Thanks for all your inspiration.
Hi I’ve just come across your videos and loved watching the demo with the frame cut out over the hare! Can you tell me where I can get the frame please? Also what is the pot called that you used to wipe your cards with for anti static. Many thanks now off to watch more of your demos 😊
I get the anti static thing from temu but honestly you can get them anywhere. I have spent lots of money on them but the temu was the cheapest and the best. The cover plate I used is a gina k called 3d diamond and I got it from bumbleberrys but I know they sold out after this video....you can order direct from gina k. She does one called basket weave as well which would be perfect x there are lots of cover plates around that would be suitable x
Fantastic Heidi can you show me please how you would do it like putting a word on like love or name please I did it years ago but can’t remember how thank you x
The only one I would recommend (non electric) is spellbinders platinum 6. Best machine around in my opinion x I also have cut and boss electric one I use when not filming x
I would have been morbid too, I'm like you if i would have known ahead of time they would not have seen me. Sorry you had to go through it. I guess we all go through some bull, during covid I got it and they forced me to get an infusion. Very upsetting 😡. Anyways I love watching you, I make some cards when I got time.I would like to mail you some, but I'm not sure how do you have a safe way I might send some. If your interested.
They look lovely Heidi, thank you ❤ I only got to the Extravaganza briefly on the Sunday, whereas I'd normally do all afternoon on the Saturday, it's just my favourite place to be, and I'm just a 40 min drive away. I was recovering from 5 weeks of flu type viruses, then it was my boyfriend's birthday on Sunday, but I got a cheeky detour on our way to his treat at the cinema. I usually buy the bundle, as i found i was buying them all individually otherwise. I love the feathery one, as im obsessed with peacocks, and also swans. Ouch about your procedure! Thankfully I haven't had that in Wales yet! I wonder if it was to look for MRSA? Hope you're recovering and glad you enjoyed your birthday ❤❤❤
Heidi, may I ask where you bought the die? I'm searching the internet but can't find it yet. It doesn't have to be the same ofcourse. Thank you in advance 😊
@@heidi-theyorkshirecrafter thank you, I have been looking for something like this for a while. Have a great day, look forward to more amazing creations from you 😍💖💐
Oh Heidi I am sorry your pre op was so mortifying, please be thankful you haven't had to go through IVF. The internal scans every few days and even when its 'that time of the month'. My dignity was gone less than half the way through the first of 11 rounds!! I think almost everyone has seen what I had for breakfast at one time or another 😛
Round 2 was an ectopic and was terminated pretty quickly. Round 5 we had a daughter but her brain didn't form properly in utero so she only lasted 2 weeks on the outside with a multitude of issues. No luck after that so no, we have a few photos and a few memories of being in NICU but that's it. Betheny would have turned 10 last week.
My favorite tip of the day is @amymanley7862 saying to wipe down the exterior of our ink pads! Me: 😩💭’where am I picking up ink!?’ Ink pad: laughing at me from the shelf. 😈
