A couple things to note, 1. Anyone claiming it was to prevent flipping was just copying what some streamers said at launch, as you mentioned, it only deters low level flipping. 2. Pheons exist to regulate the blue crystal market, it is not a gold sink as your gold that you spend to get BC to get Pheons is then transfered to the paying player using RC. It doesn't dissapear. Without Pheons the demand for BC would plumet, which in turns will turn away whales who buy gold legitimately in game. 3. The free pheons given through events and the returning player daily log in tends to be enough for new players to gear up, while it's nothing for existing players [who can afford to buy pheons should we need it]
You know, I actually always forget that people sell bc and it's something you can buy with RC. I guess I was just too caught up in the mindset of the arguments. So only really about 5% I would assume gets yeeted out of existence since the actual conversation is supposed to be per 100 per the description tab. I appreciate the correction on that. But I'm too lazy to do a correction video since I can't change and alter the one that is up. (Actually it looks like I can cut out a little bit through YT . But it will take processing time. )So you just get a heart and pin instead. Now I'll be thinking about the point of Pheons regulating BC for a bit. When I think of BC regulation, I mostly think of Mari's shop. But that doesn't devalue Pheons.
its crazy, i just started playing like 3 weeks ago, and when i read the description of pheons i was so confused why it was still charging me them when accessories i bought still had trades available on them
I remember those negative pheons like yesterday. And i remember i intently did not loot those because i knew something was fishy. I quit the game previous year March my 1578,5 DB still offline since then. I blame Brelshaza for destroying my guild ( i had no problem on clearing with pugs tho ).
What Asmongold said a long time ago is true though. Complaining about something while giving them money won't make them listen. If the entire player base is really against something and wants a change, majority of the player base just needs to not play Lost Ark for a while, that will force them to make a change. But no, player's will not do that due to FOMO, and will continue to buy in game stuff, those complaints just falls on deaf ears.
Lost Ark need a way better system to gain new players tried to explain for a mokoko yesterday what he needed to do and how he gets to tier3, i really dont understand why new mokokos are stuck in tier2 in 2024 and you need to be 1490 to activate path of the soul eater. i always hated Pheons and i find Pheons to be one of the worst systems in a mmorpg i ever seen.
I think the free 500 pheon probably won't happen due to bots. How? I don't know, but I'm sure the bots will find a way to abuse it and then the new players get slapped down like they did for early game gold. The free 4x3 account wide, in a similar way the express passes work would be a nice touch up to 1539. I know this wasn't what the video was about, but I noticed an issue with fusion materials for new players and even with the express, my friends ran out before hitting 1490. Then they had to buy it, but they didn't have a way to get gold because they would've been forced to raid with a non-1490+ new character that no one wanted to let in/join, or do weekly Una's with 1 character which probably would've fallen short of the full rewards even IF they did keep playing. Or pray that there was a gold reward island when they could get on. Suffice to say, neither friend has been online since.
Oh I doubt anything will actually change. I know people on AGS side have watched at least one of my videos according to Stoopzz and Grenton. But it's still publishing side and so at most if something resonates with them, all they can do is yap internally and maybe something reaches SG. But I never really like talking about things without giving some input on where I think things could have some positive change. I think it's more fun to talk about things this way and not like just shit on something full doomer or just be a super shill.
Agree with a lot of stuff Im a mokoko i have a 1570 soul Eater if not for my friend i wouldve spent my pheons on crap accessories and quit probably. As a new player i can only hate pheons. Also the game pretty much forces you to make alts but then you gotta play them without accessories because of pheon and get gatekept 24/7. Doesnt make sense
@@Jukwol Same. It's tough to expect much but I like to at least pretend that these suggestions (wishes) get attention. And of the two suggestions, I do feel like the 4x3 account wide seems more plausible, and less abusable. Gives me a bit more hope.
@@MsTringan I did try helping my friends with the fusion materials, but they kinda just got fed up and took a break from the honing and never came back to trying. At least you kept going and hope you manage to keep going forward IF you're enjoying the game. I keep trying, but it does suck to play on your own since I can't get anyone to stay after they try.
@@ryanc9876 Yeh i played runescape all my life so i'm ok with the grind. I can understand why he quit though, if i hadn't gone the extra mile and actively try to add people / join discord i would've quit too probably. I was lucky i found people who wanted to learn too and i started raiding only with them.
damn I've been buying 5x3s with relic accessories for my fresh alts 1490s and getting jailed in brel 1-2 pugs. maybe I'm dumb for not taking buses to 1540 lol
The only reason pheons are in the game is because smilegate is hunting whales that want to cut 9/7s or 10/10s. They also make silver cost insane to go whale hunting because most f2p or low spenders aren't going to buy the silver packs or 35-40k worth of pheons per 1 character for that 9/7.

Yeah if you plan to make a 5x3+1 build asap, it's really hard to justify making a relic build and running things unless you're like anti bussing.
