This actual model turned out to be a bit of a PIG - its all sorted now but it was a painful trip to get it where I can now fly it with out major incidence's happening ...
UK Stock down to 4 left !!!! as normal for Hobby King NO SPARES.... did it come with the replacement ORX stab or are they still shipping it with the faulty one and providing a replacement separately ? - Plan to maiden mine May bank holiday weekend
keith moore i'll be damned they got the prop right! all WW2 corsair's had 3 blade props! that battery compartment is a bit small!! looks like they had the room to make the hatch a little bigger for easier battery placement! i figured she had a steerable tail wheel with that J hook on the vertical tail piece! the air intakes as you called them are oil coolers Martyn that's the feature that gave her the name whistling death they'd whistle in a dive! supposedly zero pilots could hear them from a good half mile away!! the twin tanks are probably meant to be napalm canisters the drop tank on the corsair was center line mounted! they definite;y took liberty's with the rockets didn't they! the real bird had rocket racks like your skyraider has not twin hang down racks!! maybe add a drop of black paint in the gun ports?
Yes the FMS one is from the Korean war era hence the 4 blade prop on that one , the compartment is way too small - another one where I will have to have the RX moveable so I can take it out to get the battery in -
Anyone have an issue with the motor being loose from the firewall? right out of the box! The cowl doesn't come off, at least from what I can see. I cant see the wall or mounts without cutting the cowling off and I don't want to do it, arggg
Hello Martyn - you know when you said 'Do not lose the nut....' at about 16.05? I have managed to do this somehow whilst waiting for Hobbyking to deliver a replacement two blade propeller (well, they keep delivering propellers but no spacers! They don't fit the motor shaft...... waiting for an update from Hobbyking, waiting, waiting....) Do you know the nut size that is needed for this motor shaft please? If only spare Hubs, Props etc were available...... I know things are difficult in the world right now but it has been 6 months or more without any information from Hobbyking. Sorry to ask Martyn but you are the only reliable source of information! Many thanks once again.
I do not know the size of the nut sorry - but if you have can wait I will remove it and measure it - but this might be a week or so - regarding spares Hobby King never do hold enough and once out it can take a long long time (as you know) to get them back in.
@@FlankerTanker Thank you Martyn - whenever you can would be great. The response to this question from Hobbyking's product specialist? 'I don't know - I don't have the model to hand'!!!!! They 'think' it's m2.5. They have already sold me suitable replacement two blade props which don't fit!! They 'thought' spacers were included - but they were not. Then tried to hide behind saying that they 'should' have been included which to them meant 'might' be included. You could not make this up. I am disgusted with them.

@@BRIANFORWARD1 - but you do know that the FMS is a single propeller and not individual prop blades - If it fits then who knows (as you say you have a lot of 4 blade props as spares ......

Banggood can take forever , I got the Propeller from Aliexpress - but they can also take 30-40 days - I find that I am checking Banggood to make sure that anything I purchase is in the CZ (Europe) WH and not coming from China...
One of my favorite WW 2 era warbirds!
