- Hi Scribes!!! I've been practicing this social distancing thing and staying home so I decided to get creative! So this is a quick how to video on how I tie dyed my white Nike crew socks! Hope you enjoy!!! Be sure to like, comment, and subscribe!!!!

Looks fabulous, my only worry is will the color bleed onto the sock liner of the sneakers due to abrasion/sweat?

does the color comes down after using the socks? i dont want my other clothes to get affected in the washing machine?
No the colors won't bleed onto your other clothes. May sure to wash them by themselves first before washing them with other clothes.

I've tried socks before and most of the color comes out how do u get the color to stay on polyster blend
Hi. I used the same kit, let them dry for two days and the dye rinsed either completely or partially out. Then faded. Can you tell me what you did to help the color stay? Thx
Soda ash. You can get at any craft store and most fabric stores
Hello. Can you wash the socks with other clothes? Like colored clothes with this colored socks, like a normal washing day?
Yes...once you have successful did all the steps you can wash them like normal with other colored clothes.

if i wash them with color catching stuff wont remove the tie-dye paint?
İ am gonna do it with acrylic paint because i dont have a tie dye kit

@@rachelwest337 all you do is mix angelus paint with 2 soft, then you set it with a heat gun, the 2 soft keeps the fabric soft and flexible

Can you wash all the socks you have dyed together or do they have to be washed separate?
You can wash them all together...as long as you rinse them really good before washing them.

What do I do if I want to color to be lighter? Add more water to the bottle??
The longer you let the dye sit the more vibrant. I let mine sit for 24 hours even though 7 hours would have done the job. I would just let the dye sit for a couple of hours before rinsing.

Do the socks need to be 100 percent cotton? Or can you dye polyester socks.
I believe you can do polyester, but the color may not be as vibrant. Cotton just absorbs better.
Did you wash them all together? or seperate after you wash them in the water till they run clear?
I washed them all together. Just make sure you rinse them really good until the water runs clear before washing them together.
Do the colors come
Out while washing after using them at gym with other gym clothes? Will they loose the color . I dont want to wash them with my white gym tshirt
No you can wash them with white. They won’t bleed. Over time with washes they may lose color.

How long did you let them sit? When you rinse them some dye is supposed to rinse out until the water runs clear.
Does it matter how long they sit ? Cause I actually had the same issue.

I let mine sit the bag for 24 hours but you can do 7 to 10 hours. I rinse with warm water.
When you wash them in the machine for the first time should you use fabric conditioner as well as detergent?
Or just the detergent?

Yes you can! Just make sure you rinse the dye out really good until the water runs clear before you do so.

Putting the socks in ziplock does it have to b closed or open ?
I prefer to close the zip lock bag.

Just warm water.

It's a good idea to do so that the dye doesn't bleed onto anything. Just makes sure the colors are set.
