This limited edition set features three Academy Award-nominated masterpieces: THE SECRET OF KELLS, SONG OF THE SEA, and the exclusive Blu-ray of WOLFWALKERS.
The deluxe set is presented in beautiful, environmentally-friendly packaging that reflects each film’s loving depiction of the natural world, and its cover art features an original illustration by Cartoon Saloon.
Also included is a mini-poster and 40-page book with extensive concept artwork and an essay by film critic Andy Crump. The discs come packed with all bonus features from our previous releases, as well as exciting exclusives like animatics, commentaries, interviews, and more!

YES. This was me when my dad got me this box set for Christmas one year. Also I'm proud that I met someone else who likes these movies as well as Gravity Falls because that's literally me. They're all amazing!

I know its not likely to happen any time soon but I think a cartoon saloon version of the lion, the witch and the wardrobe could look gorgeous. Particularly because cs Lewis spent first ten years of his life in Ireland and got some inspiration for narnia from there.
Just have them do ALL SEVEN Books... they will be beautiful!

I am so excited for this!! I've been holding out hope that Wolfwalkers would get a physical release and now it's happening! I own the other two already but this set is gorgeous and I think the price ($65) isn't bad for the everything you get.

I already have the DVDs of Secret of Kells and Song of the Sea, but I don’t have a physical copy of Wolfwalkers yet nor have I seen it (I really wanted to do so very badly).
Wolfwalkers is amazing. I saw it in the theaters last year. I saw the Secret of Kells and the song of the sea when they came out on dvd at the Library. I just pre-order this. The studio said that this is the only time that Wolfwalkers will be released on blu ray and that's it, it will only be seen only on Apple tv. Get it before they sell out or before the pre-order due date is gone.

Never seen that first one but I’ve watched song of the sea like a bajillion times on Netflix and then saw Wolfwalkers in theaters and they’re both amazing

As an Irish person I absolutely LOVE animated Irish films. They are just something else.

Update: I actually preordered it a while ago before it was apparently sold out, so now I'm one of the lucky few who will eventually get his hands on this awesome collection on Blu-ray, now if you'll excuse me, I need to dream I'm a wolfwalker and am running with Asling while we race selkies

If no American studio is ever going to make more hand drawn films than I'm going to support international ones that do.
Perhaps, I'll start my own 2D MOHO animation studio and make 2D animated movies and have straight to video. At least I'll be bringing 2D animation back. At least someone has to do it .

While this is a neat looking set, I'm pretty disappointed that they aren't releasing Wolfwalkers on it's own. Like I already own the other two movies on Blu-Ray, why can't they just release a singular Blu-Ray of Wolfwalkers. Is it some copyright thing with Apple TV or something? Oh well. If this is the case, I might as well sell the ones I currently own so that I can get this set.
Probably Apple's licensing costs. You know, like how the Evangellion set doesn't have "Fly Me To the Moon" because of Bart Howard's estate pricing licensing costs for the song too high

Apple has the licenses. And unfortunately, Apple has had a thing against Blu Ray for over a decade. They've never even made a single Blu Ray reading Mac.
When i was little, the secret of kells, and song of the sea were my absolute favorite movies of all times, now i have wolfwalkwrs, um so happy
Secret of kells started it all.
And in song of the sea we saw Aishley on a bus with the protagonist.
Same with WolfWalkërs when deph search Robyn's stuff and pulled out the incanted eye

Very disappointed that the box set will consist of region coded A1 blu-rays and only released in North America. Wolfwalkers is an absolute masterpiece. However, to only do a limited edition set and after that it's restricted to AppleTV+ forever seems so very wrong. This movie needs to be seen by an audience as large as possible, and you can reach more people with physical media, which you wouldn't get interested otherwise.
Wolfwalkers is essentially a European movie. That there isn't any European home video release at all - and none announced so far - makes me extremely sad. But I refuse to give up hope. Hey Cartoon Saloon, you have huge fans in other parts of the world, too! Please don't let them down.
There is a version in the works for Region 2, as confirmed by director Tomm Moore on Twitter! Since we are only the distributors for North America, we can't speak to its availability or release date, that's up to the respective European distributors.
Are they going to release Wolfwalkers (not the boxed set) on DVD? Or is this the only way to buy it?
I'm not from Europe, but I do hope they do get a physical copy too.
It will be released in Europe, after his French release, October 20st. Haut & Court had a production contract to release in french theaters.

The Secret of Kells is my favorite, after that it's Song of the Sea, then Wolfwalkers from the Irish Trilogy. My Favorite over all is The Secret of Kells from all of the Cartoon Saloon movies.☘❤☘

The editing is great it truly is one of the greatest trilogies in movie history

Just look at how they handled the Neon Genesis Evangelion box sets as an example.
They sold out of the super expensive one first before they announced the two less expensive sets.

they are a wonderful company. Although I have no interest in The Breadwinner I'm curious about what these guys will make in the future. With "My fathers dragon" coming out soon and a few more episodes of Puffin rock I'm sure they won't disappoint. Cartoon Saloon should make a movie that takes place in outer space

Exactly! 😩 Very disappointed. And even if it was region-code free, the pre-orders already sold out. This doesn't make sense. If you do a physical release at all, it should be about bringing that work of art to the masses, or at least to let all the fans add it to their own collection and cherish and enjoy it the way they prefer (without subscription to AppleTV+, a service which just isn't worth it in my opinion). To only release it in North America, region locked, and in very limited quantities as some kind of super exclusive prestige object, is all kinds of wrong, especially for a movie this breathtakingly great!
@@MegaChaosGelee We only have rights to distribute within the US, so that's why all of our Blu-rays are coded for that region. Director Tomm Moore has confirmed that a version is in the works for Region 2, though we can't speak to its availability or release date as that is up to the respective European distributors. In general, I appreciate what you do. I'm a bit crestfallen there's no real equivalent to GKIDS in Europe, though. So many international masterpieces of animation both classic and new you attend to, yet many of them probably won't ever get a release on disc over here. Would have loved to buy Birdboy too for example, but I guess it is too niche to get domestic distributors interested, while you made a wonderful edition.
The years are wrong. Kells came out in 2009, Song was 2014 and Wolfwalkers came out in 2020.
I think those were the dates of the respective Oscar ceremonies where the films got nominated for Best Animated Feature

It's on pre order right now from $37.99 much more cheaper than the Collector's edition.
@@thatguynobodywants3716 Their issue is with how the old, original dub by ADV Films is widely beloved by many fans (which I don't understand since it's garbage) is only available for the Collector's and Ultimate Edition. The Standard Edition only includes the new Netflix dub by VSI which is...polarizing to say the least (I personally hated that one too).
