Good video bud, I just bought this saw yesterday. NOTE you really should not cut with the miter and the wood against the fence! cut off piece gets trapped and can shoot back at you :)
After watching several reviews on this saw, I bought it yesterday. Haven't put it to use yet, however, with most of the reviews, people want this or that as an upgrade, however, that's what keeps the price low. I used to have a Rigid jobsite saw and it was great. But the features of this saw at a fraction of the price, fantastic.
Had mine 1 month. It does everything i need. Im very tall and heard it was kinda short. Its fine but i could easily build a platform to raise if i wanted to. Definitely worth the money. I paid 280$ for mine
I got mine 2 days ago for $152. Clearance shelf at WalMart. Price that low? I slept on it... and went right back after watching this video. 😂 Massive upgrade over my 20 year old Makita 115v, 12amp, 7 1/4 Blade table saw. The Makita has served me well but it's tiny. Has almost no features, no safety equipment. I can't wait to put the Skil to work on my next project.
@@Gear_BangerHey brother, finally got it! Great little unit for the price. Picked up the sliding mitre saw at the same time. Another nice little unit... You know, they ain't perfect but for less than the DeWalt 7491 unit, I got the TS and MS. Can't complain for the first units.
I have questions. I bought a dewalt dwe7485 8 1/4 table saw when I bought it, it came with the dewalt rolling stand. It was $329. This skill saw would save me $30 but I am more worried about workability. This is my first table saw. I have not even opened the box yet because I have been asking if this skill saw is a better saw or if I should just keep the dewalt. I don’t need dados right now. I need to learn how to use a table saw. But I have heard bad things about the dwe7485 and that there is no blades that can be used if you want to use the riving knife. I found a riving knife sold by dewalt for the dwe7485 that is thinner so you can use thinner blades but I don’t even know how to tell how thin a blade is. I have look on the packaging nothing the says blade thickness. But I want to be safe and have a good saw that can be upgraded in a few years to something better. Is there any help or opinions that can help. If so thank you. So the Skil 10” Dewalt 8.25” table saw?
I have no experience with the dewalt saw. As far as price goes $30 isn’t really much difference but I can say that I really like this skil saw and have had no complaints. But I can also say (because my dad uses dewalt for his job) that I’ve always had good luck with dewalt also I just rather spend less money lol. I would really have to look at the dewalt you have to determine which one I’d pick and dewalt has a good reputation but just based off a Quick Look, the skill has a bigger blade for deeper cuts and folding legs built in so there’s no need for a stand and a couple other things so just going solely off what I know and my experience, I’d probably go with the skil saw.
@@Gear_Banger hay do you know if you can remove the legs on the Skil table saw? I want to mount my table saw in a table. It would just be something to try to make.

I agree. I’ve been using mine A LOT and couldn’t be happier with it. So far it’s holding up great. 👍🏼

Bosch has a dust collection bag for a tablesaw. I got one from Amazon.
