    I have a Suzuki GSX1250FA and I love it. It's very comfortable and smooth, it's very pleasant to ride even for long distances. It has excellent brakes, perfect gear shift. We ride it in an upright position, and it's perfect for long distance riding.

      @@In_His_presence4ever Neh, Its already in an upright position. They are kinda small / narrow. Like 70cm wide I think. 80 would be better.

    It may very well be the old Bandit, but it's more of a all a rounder than the Ninja. Throw the factory hard bags and top case on it and you've got a doable tourer as well.

    I hope that there is a part two to this.. a bit more of the "vs." would be nice!

    a zx10r can go 100.000km.... or lets say 60.000 miles.... a ninja 1000 can go 300.000 or 180.000 miles, before it needs motor change.

    @ylism Check the forums..On the bandit forums it is extremely rare to find someone complaining of a failure...

    I've owned both...the Kawa is visually more appealing..and most import it's fully 60 lbs Lighter.!!!! both great bikes.....I'll take the 1000 Kawasaki everyday......however...of note....the max torque for the Suz 1250 is around 3600 rpm!!! awesome!

    Very odd comparison indeed. The Ninja 1000 is a proper SPORTS bike whereas the venerable 1250 Bandit with fairing is a 70% Tourer 30% Sports. Lots of tosh spoken here about the GSX1250 obviously by keyboard bikers. The GSX1250 main virtue is its Stonking bulletproof engine. It produces massive torque low down at 3,700 revs. The Bandit engine is over-engineered and totally unstressed which means it's engine is supremely reliable. For everyday all round riding the GSX / Bandit knocks spots off the Kawasaki. It would be fairer to compare the GSX with a Triumph Sprint or a Honda CBF1000. Where the GSX wins is its price... You get max bang for buck with a GSX.

    Durability of these machines is all about the Revs. That zx10r might be as big - but it has to always rev so damn high.

    If you want power and decent street ergonomics, but the ZX-14R. The new 2012 model. It has tons more power than the ZX-10R, with an unrestricted top speed of well over 200mph. But if you want a streetfighter style and speed, look at the 2012 Aprilia Tuono V4R APRC.

    Too much plastic on it for me. I'd prefer a half-faring or naked bike. Failing that, the GSX1250FA is one of the most attractive bikes (that is, a bike that attracts ME the most) I have seen since looking at many different bikes from many different dealers.
    The only one I have found that I would truly prefer is the Suzuki B-King, which I doubt I could find here in Louisiana.

  • @Selrisitai
    @Selrisitai 11 років тому

    It's not a sport bike. It's a sport touring bike. The idea is that you have low and mid-range torque to roar up to the speed limit, which will rarely ever be above sixty miles per hour, and even more rarely, seventy.

  • @decayingcorpse
    @decayingcorpse 13 років тому

    @sharjawee how do you figure that?
    not everyone wants hardcore sportsbikes and the chiropractor appointments to go with them, most people want some comfort with a bit of speed thrown in.

  • @steady2wheels
    @steady2wheels 13 років тому

    @sharjawee id say they were bikes for people that ride on the street and not on the track. People who actually like to go places, no pretend to a racer

    I bought a 2011 Ninja 1000 and love it. It is great for running errands in town . The strong midrange of this bike makes it a blast in tight canyons ,smooth controlled slingshot out of corners. It is not the most powerful or fastest bikes that I have been on but it has real world usable power. The fuel mileage has been good too I have got as low as 42 and a best of 55mpg on a ride over Ebbets Pass.

  • @KatoomDriver17
    @KatoomDriver17 11 років тому

    The B-king is definitely a difficult bike to find.

    Does that mean a Honda NC700X will last like 300,000 miles? It redlines at 6,500 RPM.

    speed limit rarely above 60?!?! this is america! we have literally hundreds of thousands of miles of highway where the speed limit is 65-75, here the interstates are all 75 and traffic usually flows closer to 80. there are huge distances to cover out here before you get anywhere. making a 1000 mile ride in a weekend is no big thing. im in wyoming by the way.

  • @KatoomDriver17
    @KatoomDriver17 12 років тому

    The Ninja 1000 actually is bigger by ~50cc. Power output all has to do with the desired engine behaviour within the rev range. The Ninja 1000 is a much better street bike than the zx10r. The zx10r is a much better track bike than the Ninja 1000. This is down to how the engines are tuned for their desired habitats... so to speak. Make sense?

    The suzuki seems to have a higher smiles per dollar ratio...see the video where don launches the bike from 4th(?) gear.

  • @Driftuner

    dnt see this bike as "less powerful"...its just made more "usable"....ive never driven the bike, but from other experiences i can almost assure you that its almost just as fast on the streets as the ZX..when it comes to street riding..power really isnt everything...having a chassi and a suspension that can cope with bumps, poor traction surfaces, rider mistakes, surprises, holes etc etc etc is a lot more meaningful then raw power...i own a 2001 CBR600F, and i keep up with the 1000er bikes easy..

    @sharjawee i will, different things do it for different poeple, just like woman, some people like really focused sportsbikes, some like dirtbike some like cruisers, some like fun bikes they can do a bit of traveling on, but aren't pan europeans. Iv had zx6r's zzr's all sorts

    why is the ninja 1000 low on horse power when compared to the zx 10r there both 1000cc engines from the same company, truly dissapointing unless it could be tuned

    @alehax27 the ninja looks strange as well - the suzi is classier and a better bang 4 the buck

  • @Tro1086
    @Tro1086 11 років тому

    thats like saying why is a chevy V8 in a pickup truck not as fast as the V8 in the corvette, there both the same size and from the same company, wtf!!! Just cuz there the same size dosnt mean shit. there both tuned for different purposes.

  • @flufebunekilr
    @flufebunekilr 12 років тому

    so the ninja 1000 is even a bigger engine with less horse power, lame. I would turn a zx10r into a street fighter to meet street riding ergonomics before purchasing the obviously underpowered ninja. My only desired habitat is really really fast hence the whole purpose of a sport bike

    I don't care what people say about kawasaki

  • @flufebunekilr
    @flufebunekilr 11 років тому

    Um well there not even the same machine, there is vast difference between a truck and a car v8, especially pickup to corvette. the only similarity is that they have 8 cylinders. Ur in no way comparing apples to apples man u must be crazy:) Maby an 8 cylinder truck for towing and an 8 cylinder truck for off road sport, I no there not for same purposes man its just a why not factor. Why not have that riding position equal in performance... after all america was built on y the hell not... honestly

    I have the 2007 Bandit 1250s and the 2015 Ninja 1000 ABS. The Bandit has a great motor and is comfortable for long highway runs, but that's where it ends, the brakes are not good, the suspension is terrible and undersprung with very little opportunity for adjustment and is terrible for sport riding and it's a heavy bike with a steel frame. The Ninja has excellent fully adjustable suspension, supreme ABS brakes, lighter weight, better gas mileage, traction control.

    when I look at the gsx1250fa, I see the old bandit 1250.

    fat chicks are like scooters... there fun to ride till your friends find out!! But I think the zuki would be awesome for longer trips. as much fun as my gixxer is to ride, after going long miles for 3 days straight, the fun begins to wear off and the soreness has set in. and about all you can carry on a gixxer is a tooth brush and maybe a pair of underwear, and DONT say backpack... im not riding all day in 100 degree heat with the sun beating on me and a backpack on, i hate a hot sweaty back.
