Speaking of which, I thought the add-on little circuit board only needed to stay on temporarily, in order to fool the iPhone it’s a genuine battery, and possibly to reset the cycle count to zero using the battery programmer. At least that’s what I seem to remember watching other repair videos. Or is that model-dependent too, and Apple cracked down on this yet again, forcing the dongle to stay on? 😢
I wasn't confident this one would go well given the state of it - but you did it! That lucky little fella was saved from landfill for a few more years thanks to you 😇
: ) @@RestoreTechnique Watched this morning when I was kind of working. Day done and on my second watch through with full attention and enjoying the gross macro-shots of crud cleaning and all the little ambient sounds.
lol. When they tell you, "I have never installed a passcode on the phone, I'm sure of it". Then 20 minutes later they tell you "But you can try XXXX and see if it works", and it somehow magically works.
The ringer going off sent me into panic mode 😂 been working on call in IT for 5 years now. Scrambled to check my phone before I realized. Nicely done audio trick there. Not sure how you made it sound like it was in the room rather than from headphones. The rest of the repair was great as well, as always with your channel.
Wow, the struggle you had to go through with the battery is pretty intense. My experience is limited to a galaxy s8 and s10. But I can't say I've ever seen that kind of anti repair BS before.
Another masterpiece from you. The detail is so good. And I love the way you're adding in the subtle dry humour. Very cute! And how good is it that @PCBWay sponsors you? They're the perfect company for it because of their extensive range of tech products and components.
I think you should have bought a case with the small parts included, and it was unnecessary to replace the battery. This would have saved a lot of time and some money. Making it more worth your time. However I am glad to see the replacement of these parts in the video.
I have NEVER been successful doing this 7:11 - any tips from anyone? This is a great video, very satisfying. Worth it? I think this kind of effort is always worth the experience you gain. Unfortunately, by selling it you won't be able to recover the true bench rate.. as if the owner was bringing this unit in for repair. Thanks for the video. Very enjoyable!
@RestoreTechnique you dont have to reprogramm the battery on the pc. after you installed the bypass tool on the battery you have to start the phone with the charger. then it will show 100%. greetings!
I have an iPhone 12 Pro Max. Recently I just got a new iPhone 12 Pro Max through insurance since mine looked pretty recked only cost 99$ absolutely worth it
This is so satisfying to watch! Lots of care and dedication put into the phone and the video itself. Love it! You just earned one sub! Love the little humor “I’m very bendy” from Friends in the beginning too lol
Oh yeah, sorry I forgot to put that in the tools list in description: m.rewa.tech/detail/refox-rs-1-rice-series-2d-screwdriver-kit-for-iphone-repair.html
Its cheaper in most cases when you know: what to buy, what right price for this buying and first of all - how to fix it in right way without damaging any modules.
only bad thing on this restoration is that you changed to the worst color /joke but seriously i love seeing things getting restored and i think that what you done it’s really awesome
The original battery is smaller for a reason. The battery expand after a few years a few milimiters. This new battery is quite dangerous if you ask me...
i love your content, especially the ones where you disassemble and reassemble the device... but i have a question (i would be honored if you could answer) what is the recive you use to make the smartphone water resistant again?!
recive? You mean adhesive? This: m.rewa.tech/detail/for-apple-iphone-12-12-mini-12-pro-12-pro-max-screen-repair-tape-waterproof-seal-sticker-replacement.html
WoW, what remarkable skills. With all that trouble and expensive parts you need to buy, i have to say it doesn't look really worth it with just $175 profit. The repairing process was very satisfying to watch tho
In addition to your surgical skills, your camera, and mic are grade A. Soo satisfying.
That's great, thanks! I'm always worrying about the audio, thinking it sounds crappy, or music too loud/soft, narration too loud/soft. 😀
Finally a channel that doesn't do fake "my phone is broken I send it to you please fix it" kind of script
Just give him an award for that
JAI phone script😂
you mean, some does that?
I always appreciate how thorough you are with your phone repairs. Crazy what you had to do to get the battery working without the warning notification

Haha yeah, this guy "shouldn't be a passcode..." 😆
13:06 expert precision made me laugh a lot 😆. Otherwise, nice restore, mate!
Cheers dude 😄
19:20 That Cleaning sound of earpiece grill coming out of your mouth was hilarious 😂
😄 Forgot to record audio on that hehe
The Face ID edit and criminal records joke cracked me up 😂
This is one of the most precise iphone repair that I've ever seen! Well done mate!👏👏
Great video, very entertaining to watch a pro. First time I've seen the battery replacement be a 100% success.
3:10 too cute 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Australia has no criminal history! 👏👏 love it
Biggest concern on wanting to rebuild iphones is the icloud lock fears so props to you for finding a real deal to unlock it with
Ngl, probably the best phone repair format ive ever seen.

Watching this after someone broke my iphone screen while replacing the battery, your skills are really fascinating.
Cheers mate
I had the frame completely refurbished once, i m never doing it again. Now I only buy the frame with the small parts already on it from aliexpress.
That battery pull was the best ASMR ever!
😄🤌
It was clearly the earpiece cleaning

😄 haha cool
I was not going to subscribe, but when you dropped the rear speaker with expert precision ... I had to ;-)
i was suprised that the display wasnt even cracked seeing what the phone has gone through
Yeah same, I was prepared for a screen replacement

The frame with all the small parts costs $200. Profit would be almost nothing.
I wish i would have learned to do these types of things, It must be really cool to know how to restore these products!
This video satisfied my OCD
Great 😄
❤I appreciate your professionalism and patience❤
Transitioning from red to blue is like having a new iPhone lol
I love the microphone flying while you try to plasce it into its hole makes me feel better about myself since i keep shooting screws the same way 😂

With the rubber ring u should've left the buttons red so it'll look cool
