He went to Floyd Rose:s house and had 2 of his guitars routed, for the FR-non fine tuner, trem. When he was 16, there was no FR, then. He took the name Coma, for himself, while he was out partying, with his buds because, he wanted, to have a name like Sting-Flea, Bono, etc. They laughed at him and the night carried on.
The "Layla" bit was outstanding.

I know right!?!? I’m really excited about this guitar!
Michael had Floyd Rose modify the the guitar for the locking term well he slept on Floyd’s coach. He also wrote Coma on a it himself so he didn’t buy it that way. Which only makes it cooler!!! I have the stories Brent Mason Tele and I love that guitar.

The Mason guitar is great!
I am curious to get to try this one sometime, I have nothing with fender wide range pickup and especially in a Strat would be interesting, and I like 59c necks and 7.25 radius also
@@mohamedtlass3842 Yeah the Coma strat is rad for sure. The wide range pickups definitely have a cool unique sound. The Mason tele is a very versatile guitar. I also like the 7.25 radius and the satin c shaped maple capped neck on the Mason feels great. The Mason Tele’s tend to be on heavier side but luckily mine is only 7.8lbs.
@@bigmikeyz0071 I didn’t weigh mine but I don’t think it’s excessive. I know a few people did complain, of course there is more stuff installed on it and they won’t necessarily sort the wood for light weight as much as if it was CS
He has four models. Fiesta, sunburst and black custom shop. And 16 of the masterbuilt Jason Smith ash e maple board.

You heard it right- that was “Great is Thy Faithfulness”. At least the first third of the verse.👍

I really don’t want to spoil the party but I got my Coma Strat in the mail today and sent it back right away.
The string alignment was totally out of whack : the e1 string nearly fell off the fretboard at the 19th fret and at the nut it was nearly 4 millimetres away from the edge causing it to go to the tuning machine in an angle instead of a straight line from the nut.
Also the frets were not dressed as you would expect from a 2.800 € instrument. They were almost as scratchy as the ones on a Fender Player I tested the other day. The shop will send me a new one and I sincerely hope that it was only someone having a bad day at the Fender assembly line after a night out in the town and the replacement will do justice to Michael’s original…
Where did you buy it from? We setup every guitar that leaves our warehouse

Sorry for the confusion! I did not intend to raise the impression that it was from your shop. As a matter of fact, I ordered the guitar because I really loved your demo and that the Coma would be the right fit for my needs. If I were living in the U.S. I'd had ordered from you, without a doubt!
I really do hope that someone at the Fender QC had a bad day and that the Coma I got was an exception. Thanks again for the great demo!
