Hate to mention it's not tin; made from high carbon steel. Lid is made from the same stuff and they now cost around $90 each. Got mine at a thrift store for free, they had decided they were not saleable so had cast them into the metal scrap bin. I did drop a couple sawbucks in the donation jar.
Hello canoeists, just a quick note on how to clean the Big Daddy frypan. It is always washed last of all the dishes and pots. Never use sponges on it, I keep a copper scrubbie and a brush just for the Big Daddy and nothing else. Set it on the ground, slosh a little soapy water from the tin wash bucket, clean with that and dump it out of the fry pan. Slosh a little rinse water, dump that out of the fry pan, then dry with paper towels so it can’t rust. Before I cook anything in the Big Daddy I spray with PAM even before I cook bacon. Cheers and thanks for tuning in. Lisa
Hi, Lisa. A mutual friend of ours just recommended that I reach out to you. I'm having trouble tracking down your contact information online, though. I am not a Facebook user, so could you I shoot you an email or give you a phone call? Thanks!
Great to hear! You won’t be sorry. It’s lets you feed everyone at once rather than in shifts. Be sure to always use a generous amount of the cooking spray PAM with it. 👍🛶
I get the feeling that through the years you’ve become famous in certain circles for that frypan! Reminds me of a story in the book Upriver and Down by Edmund Ware Smith….
You won’t be sorry. how many canoe trip videos have you seen 4 hungry people standing around the little frypan on the 1 burner propane stove …all watching 1 pancake cook. Feed them all at once a pile of pancakes. Plus it doesn’t take 2 hours for breakfast! It clips in behind any stern paddler. Enjoy! Thanks for watching.
Not sure I'd want to go camping with a group large enough to need a pan like that, unless it's with Sasquatch. I bet he's got stories to tell sitting around the campfire! (just kidding Lisa. I got lots o respect for anyone wielding a pan like that)

That Big Daddy is famous all on its own. How many times on different UA-cam channels have you seen 4 adult men standing around a 1 burner stove with a tiny little frypan atop watching 1 pancake cook. Can’t think of a better way to make cooking breakfast take 2 1/2 hours! Why not drop some palates and feed everyone all at once in less than half an hour. Thanks for watching.

She said its good for feeding 0-8 people, that 0 being using it to whoop some tail if anyone acts wrong 😂😂🤙

Wow ! that is a big cook pan . You could use it as a paddle in a pinch. Great video once again.
They used to make a smaller one yet. I have one, and love it for smaller meals for two people.
I love the lid enthusiasm. We like game changers.
This is what canoe camping and cooking, is all about..
I'd love to go paddle with you. learn so much and have a absolute hoot too
How much do I love this video! Fantastic. Thanks 🙏💛 🍳
We're buying one!!!
Good luck. I also got the lid and I love that too. Thanks for watching.
Thanks I bought one then saw your video

In the event of an emergency, the Big Daddy will protect you from a charging moose!
I don’t doubt it.

I Guide between 8 and 14 people, it’s the only way they don’t have to eat in shifts and I don’t have to cook in shifts.
Thanks for all your videos Lisa. I've been enjoying them for some time.@@3_Minutes_With_a_Maine_Guide
Where can I get a big canvas bag like that?!
I made the canvas bag from an old banner.
I'll take the medium Daddy and feed 0 people.
..so I guess size really does matter..?..
