Well... no, sry I am not a fan!, I cannot stand TouchWiz and OneUI makes wanna cry, but it isn't as sluggish as before 2020. I have and will never buy a Samsung device, it's always been work forcing them on me for support/availability. Dual wielding since 2010! ;)
Thanks to Nova Launcher I haven't had to use ROMs for years at least, its a hassle with banking-apps. I blame Samsung for not having 16:9 devices to buy but pillarboxing as a result still...
In screen fingerprint readers? And no matter the battery size if I am carrying a Samsung device it needs to be charged every day no matter the usage imo.
Fairphone 5 seems to work over expectations so far though ;)

Screens are better than ever before, Battery lasts longer than ever before, Mobile networking, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth etc are all up to the latest standards, SOC, are a shitton faster every year (thx to Qualcomm), software is faster than ever before and has more features than ever before, Camera(s) are better than ever before, S-pen is also better than ever before, they have and will continue to improve every year, last years S23U was so good that S24U has the same RAM, Same storage, same battery, same charging, and a very similar screen... with all that said honestly Samsung phones are boring and dont bring any big hardware updates (unlike Huawei untill US started to enforce a duopoly...id love to see a market with Huawei on top instead of the current Apple Samsung (backed by USA) Duopoly that keeps innovation away...

This would be a big upgrade for me; still have the S22+. I plan on getting it when it comes out. Loving the flat screen which is about time; plus missing the Spen of the note. Sounds like a really cool new upgrade.

notes and stuff are cool. but currently the most used AI feature on my case is youtube summarization where i have to top up a little bit of money to openai to use the openai api key. would be great if samsung phone can just extract the transcription from youtube transcript just like those plugins on chrome do, and then allow the user to make summary in whatever format they want

I wish they would have done the secure face unlock like the pixel 8's.
My biggest disappointment is that they don’t have magnetic qi2 charging which is a surprise given that Samsung has the largest market share for android and it’s a new standard for this year
On Ultra such charging standard would interfere with s-pen functionality (magnets colliding at such small surface), while I agree for regular s24(+), it should have been there

interesting how all you tech youtubers are putting forward the line of "i dont use the 10x zoom." as if we should be guilty of using such a feature. I make use of the 10x zook on my s22 ultra all the time. How well the S24 ultra digital crop does, I'll wait and see for a full review.

Being a big Apple haters, I avoid iPhone like a plague. But I admit curved display are stupid, and for this I'm happy Samsung has ditch curved display on S24. So I will getting one this time.

AI features isn’t free. People will have to paid for it by 2025. It will be subscription based service, that’s dumb because those features should be included when you buy your phone. Pixel isn’t charging it customers to access features on its phone.

S24 with 8GB of RAM, is a nope from me, especially since they're pushing on-device AI computation. Given their 7yrs of OS and security updates, it does not seem to be future-proof.
