      If I may ask, what kind of paint or mixture is that? I find it kind of odd you would have to connect something to the item being painted.

    • @HappilyHomicidalHooligan
      @HappilyHomicidalHooligan 3 роки тому +2

      @@rommtech4604 It's a dry powder that is given a positive charge and the part is given a negative charge (through the wire clipped to it), the opposite charges cause the powder to stick to the part in a smooth even coat which is then baked on in the oven.
      It's called Powder Coating if you want to look it up online.
      The resulting finish is much more scratch and abrasion resistant than liquid paint is and it's used on a huge number of products found in most hardware/automotive stores...

    I liked that you didn't cut out the part where the chain got yanked while you were cleaning/polishing it, most people would remove that part. This way you are showing how easily things can go wrong so anyone watching this will learn from your experience. Respect.

    Regarding the chain slipping: What you can do is screw the ends of the chain fairly taught against a metal coffee can, and that will keep it from slipping while you’re polishing.

    I never understand the nickel-plating process. It looks like magic to me.

    I see you have already addressed my question about using this on any animals, excellent, please just add it to your growing collection of restored castaways. Excellent job, probably looks better than it did when it was new.

    I see you finally got a powder coat setup. Good for you. It's only a matter of time before you get a full sized oven built!

    0:48 heck man...it looks like your C clamp needs a Restoration...lol

  • @АндрейНикитенко-ф4с

    Bear is a strong beast. To fix the plate, it is better to use classic rivets.
    The bending of the arcs was increased during disassembly. During assembly, they are not sufficiently bent and therefore not deeply fixed in the holes; the fastening is weak.
    Congratulations to TysyTube for starting using powder paint. And the use of nickel plating. :-)

    Конечно лайк! Слишком много чести капкану, для полки пойдет, для охоты нет. Перед установкой капкана его кипятят с хвоей, что бы отбить запахи.

    I like the restoration, but I don't like the item

    • @yeagerxp
      @yeagerxp 5 років тому +6

      @Wesley Tilghman I am not a vegetarian, that is not the reason I don't like the item, I am a meat eater. Just had sirloin steak for dinner a couple hours ago. But the thought of any kind of animal with the exception of rats and mice being caught in that thing makes me cringe.

      Totally unneccessary. If you have a rustic cabin, it makes a nice piece of wall decoration, second if say you get a rat infestation, there you go..
