UPDATE: To save time when selling, try lowering the crate into the elevator and then opening it to drag the gems directly into local storage. This also means that you can stack the gems in the crate for less moving. Thanks commenters of this video for such wonderful advice!
@@davidmeyis4369 it might be your timezone that allows you to get reliable missions. For me they're 90% broken. At about 3 AM things get better, but that doesn't help me much. Afaik we all share the same mission services/database/etc. backend globally, so server meshing gets us good real-time action, but all transactions suck when everybody plays. Therefore, I have to do sandbox gameplay and avoid missions if I want to do anything at all these days.
@@davidmeyis4369 you mean hauling missions right? Yeah I am doing those now but they are bugging way too often. Losing missions is a big pain, I have many wasted trips with either cargo not being recognized or not receiving the money. Maximum I sucessfully got so far was 4 completed missions together. But feels like the more missions I accept worst things get so I am back down to 2-3 missions per flight. Because of those issues, I am doing closer to 200k per hour if I truly consider all the wastes and bugs and server hops.
One thing a friend told me. Fill up the Green Charge Bar when mining. Just to the point before it reaches over-charged, then swap to another rock. By the time its filled, it should break itself and you are already working on another rock. Saves a few seconds but damn those seconds add up.
9:27 You can quickly scoop up all the gems in a split second if you time it correctly. As soon as the Fracture laser turns off automatically switch to (I use right click) Extraction mode and left click to fire the Extraction laser right in the middle of the rock. It also depends on the lag of the server but I've instantly scooped up the gems many times this way.
If you send your crate down first, you can open it in the Local Inventory and unload it straight from there. Right click in the inventory and choose open. Could save yourself the trouble of the backpack transfer
This works 80% of the time. The freight elevators are more often broken currently. Once it stabilizes it's probably the best. But yes you need to do this anyway at some sake locations.
don't use the elevators for the crates (containers), especially 2SCU and 1SCU ones. you can just drop them next to the inventory terminal, then drag it into your inventory directly. i find this much faster.
unloading the gems if you have access to a freight elevator is easier than what you are doing, just put the 2SCU box on the elevator, go to the freight elevator terminal, with the box showing on the left side doubleclick on the box, to access it, then select the stones and clock "move to storage" to empty the content of your box in the local inventory of the landing zone. That's how I do it in those locations where they pay more
Just a tip, you don't need to pack more than 2 bottles of lux at any time. Drink both and then store the empty bottles in your pack. When empty bottles stack they automatically refill. Infinite Cruz lux.
@starrstreams you can holster any gun/utility item on your character with holding R by default also you can send the crate down the cargo elevator and then open the inventory on the terminals to open the crates internal storage and just drag the content out at once.
Gorgeous landscapes, Hadanite aplenty. Love Ignis! Great tutorial Starr! You can send the 2 scu container down in the freight elevator, and then open the Inventory ATM (kiosk) and pull gems out easily if you're in a hurry. It also keeps items safe in case of a server error.
Pro-tip: for those who don't like waiting for the freight elevator to go up and down, and also risk losing items due to bugs in the elevator mechanics, just use the inventory terminals to retrieve and place back the 1 and 2 SCU containers (I haven't tried this with the 4 SCU and larger). When taking out, just right click and select "drop" (be sure you are off to the side, or you will get knocked down... no damage, just annoying) and when placing back, just tractor the container to the side of the terminal, access the terminal, then click and drag back into inventory. This way, you can also take the gems out in one batch once it's in your inventory. And most importantly you save time it takes on the elevators and avoid losing items to any elevator bugs.
Also, some notes: 1) if your mining laser stuck and won’t move - try pressing freelook button(z by default) 2) currently you can’t mine on Aberdeen - you have to wear Pembroke suite, which is removed from the store right now 3) you can rent C1 spirit- which can take 2 ROCs, if you want to mine with friends; 4) if you want safest place to mine without murder-hobos in avengers, try Daymar 5) you can claim roc in hangar and just drive it in a little space on the right from entrance - there is a “parking” spot
I really appreciate the time and effort you put into this Starr! Knowing how _incredibly_ badly this game is performing right now, and how much you suffered to get this put together, this guide is brilliant thank you! BTW, there's an ASOP terminal right behind the Freight Elevator booths when you're managing ships & crates. It'll save you from having to run back up to the front of the hangar to call-up your ships ;)
I'm glad their is a play loop for this play style and I hope the crafting system makes this a more important part of the game. Every play loop needs to be impotent for everyone.
Another tip for all, if you position your Roc so that the marker is directly where it says "optimal" in the green bar those tougher to break nodes are a little easier to break. Found this out with a bit of experimenting.
Great video man. :) I would suggest, you use the mining laser power as your Guide as to how much power you use. You can be at quite a good range or close, as the power reaches the Green area, just drop the power down and let it power the rock. That way you do not need to be moving around with your ROC or even go into the overpower/red zone. The optimal "range" is so so, the optimal area on the Power is way more important. The "Range" on the other hand, is a good way to control your power with the larger rocks/asteroids in a Prospector. --- Stacking (The Hadanite) Does not matter, you just lower the box into the elevator and drag it all over to the location inventory. Then return the box to your ship and either head out to mine again, or if it's the last of the day. Go and sell it all. (Does not matter, but it is a preference thing). --- Storing (Ship, Gear) I allways leave everything in my ship. ROC, StorAll it has not failed me yet.
