- Now that winter has arrived, it's time to talk about some of my favorite winter locations in Nintendo games! Snowy/cold areas in games are always so great, with some terrific music too. So get cozy and enjoy the winter vibes of these locations!

my favorite is the splatoon 3 story mode alterna technically it isn't a winter place since the snow there is fake and its not even cold but you can say its a fake winter so it counts
I was really close to including Alterna in the video, but it didn't feel like it fit the winter vibes enough. But it is a great overworld for sure!
City Folk was my first animal crossing game and I remember loving winter in the city. Riding the bus and seeing the snow fall on the city as you walk around was breathtaking. I really love winter in New Horizons too. There's something very cozy about feeling secluded with your villagers and watching them dress up for the season and interact with decorations. Plus, nighttime in winter is beautiful. I try to catch the Northern Lights at least once each year. While I don't have as many memories specific to Nintendo for Winter, I've always loved snowy lands in any game. Growing up where it doesn't snow or where it does and doesn't stick makes snow feel very unique and like a treasure. Games like animal crossing let me experience winter and have those Christmas dreams of a white season that I can't get where I live.
Your videos are always wonderfully done and also bring a sense of comfort with them. Thank you so much for putting the effort you do into to them. I hope you holiday season is just as merry as those winter wonderlands
Wii ski and snowboard is still one of my favorite games to pull out every winter, it’s so cozy! I know it’s not technically made by Nintendo but still, it’s a favorite of mine : )
I was gonna say, Wii Ski and Snowboards is incredible, I actually lost my copy and got a new one this Christmas.
Something I always have to think of is Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games Vancouver 2010, and particularly the shopping section. Even though it's a really small section it looks so cozy and christmasy.
I wish all Mario Kart lever tracks could just be their own explorable levels in a Mario game

Not from a Nintendo game, but I absolutely love Ice Cap Zone from Sonic 3. Probably has my favorite track in the game, too.

Nice also here my favorite Nintendo winter is Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver - Mount Silver (DS), Donkey Kong Country - Gorilla Glacier World (SNES), and The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess - Snowpeak Ruins (GameCube)
Honorable mention: Rito Village, Crisp Climb Castle, Fluff-Puff-Peaks, Go Vacation’s Winter Resort, Frozen Zoras Domain from Ocarina of Time, the fight to Rito Village in Age of Calamity.
I know you have plenty of videos on go vacation so that’s probably why it’s not here but I absolutely love the snow resort from that game, especially the atmosphere at night is amazing

Even though you briefly mentioned it, I think DK summit is my favorite winter area since it strays away from the isolation often seen in winter levels, in favor of highlighting a lot of the fun that can be experienced during the season through skiing/snowboarding! It also was a great excuse for Nintendo to highlight the motion controls of the Wii

BIG AGREE WITH CITYFOLK FOR WINTER, the city is perfect for the holidays and holiday launch memories have forever biased the game for me. That and reintroducing holidays after Wild World left them absent just made them hit waaaay harder
Some of my favorite snow locations are Route 216 from Gen 4 and Winters from Earthbound. One brings you to the legendaries and the other brings the legendary Jeff to your party lmao
My favorite Nintendo winter area is definitely the winter level from glover. Such a nice atmosphere and weird enemies there!
city folk will always be my favorite animal crossing, if only for the reason that winter in the city is so amazing.

Snow levels really are the best part of video games. I really like the snow maps from the og battlefront games. Hoth is just out of the movies and the Rhen Var maps are really unique. I love the ice cave in one, and the massive temple in the other. And Halo has some really good snow levels too both in campaign and multiplayer. Also route 216/217 in the gen 4 games are so cool to visit. It really feels like a new challenge on your way to the furthest north spot on the map

My favorite winter location in a Nintendo game is the snow resort in go vacation. I know namco made go vacation but I'm counting it since it's only on Nintendo consoles

I’m surprised there weren’t any Pokémon locations in the list. I’ll be in the minority, but I loved Circhester. It had such a cozy vibe for a snowy city due to the hot spring right in the center of town
So happy u uploaded but what about Go vacation Ski resort? For me it counts a lot as I love it (even tho the ski maps from we ski and we ski and snowboarding are better) u should also do a video about those 3 games
I think my fav winter place is in pokepark 1 one the wii when you ride laprasses back to go to a winter world to help delibird (that’s how I remember it im not 100% sure if it was like that)
