I love watching this show for the local history and the new technologies used. Who knew you could date wood by using the rings with respect to ancient weather patterns found in even older wood. And the historical building, homes, and rock carvings in the area.
Love the history. You can't trust what history has previously written. Would love to be there to see it . And help out. Even digging with a shovel following the metal detector.
The fact that “high traces of gold” are found in the water in the shaft, as well as in various other water sources, proves that there must be a considerable amount of gold, in solid format, underground. Now just to find it. There commitment will be rewarded.
You realize theres mimerals that give false positives for gold with those tests or just be raw good in trace amounts in the soil.. shows a waste of time
its all for a show. They would have been able to dig down in the first season if they wanted to. A couple trucks and a digger would have knocked it out in no time. Now they got the govt by trying all these weird techniques and got their hands tied.

Really exciting progress! So many wonderful discoveries, and teaching the history of not just the island, but of the world, and the Knights Templar. It's inspired me to learn more. We were briefly on the island last September, just at the visitor's center area for pictures, and was excited to see some of the markers. Great work, guys!

I’ve been following you guys since I was also a kid-decades-and I know I can get a bit harsh, but now at 72 years and with the new kit and the expertise to bring us up to speed and the gold reaccess report
Men, 100's of years ago, possibly the same group who designed the engineering and constructed the great churches of Europe carried some very important things to this island and left.... Please find, the world needs it's importance...
Strange how Gold, [the one Metal that is impervious to rust, & water erosion]; (found still pristine, after being found, undisturbed for 1000's of years under the salty Ocean); is in the wood & water there?🤷♂️ Interestingly enough, Gold is found in Salt water with this amount of dilution!🤔
Watched since beginning. Read THE READERS DIGEST when in high school. Doesn't some recall that the copy of one of the hand drawn maps they were given had a notation written VAVLE ,with a line pointing to a spot on the island?? ( like maybe it just suggesting you turn off the flood tunnel flow with a VALVE??)
No point watching. Let me guess . A rusted belt buckle dating back to the crusaders ? How long is this story going to drag on for without finding anything of value ?

A lot of you act like it's just digging in the back yard when your a kid. These are multi-million dollar digging operations they are very slow and they take a long time to drill and dig down due to the safety factors and the fact they are digging through 200ft of dirt and rock it is going to take a long time.

I want to know if the composition of the gold they are finding in the water and wood is natural and local to that area or if it is man manipulated/processed and from a different region of the world. That would tell us if they are just detecting natural gold because there is small amounts of gold almost every where in the ground. Wonder if they can tell that? 🤔
They won't tell! I have suspected that gold/silver mining occurred at Oak Island in the very distant past because of all the underground tunnels. There is also a noticeable amount of the very rare element Osmium (Atomic no. 76) found in analysed metal samples at Oak Island but this is NOT mentioned in the episodes because it obviously doesn't fit the treasure narrative of the show. Interestingly, Oak Island, which is located in Mahone Bay, is close by to Gold River where gold deposits were indeed discovered in the past.
