personally, if there was a war I'd hope it'd be a prank war or something, and instead of hermits vs empires, the teams are intermixed, mostly bc the hermits interacting with the emperors have been super fun and interesting so far!

I still think Grumbot is focused on making Mumbo Mayor. It's his programmed goal and he still stated he was working on it. Even if it was from Grian, Grumbot was involved in the deposing of the king. The diamonds that gave the king his legitimacy are missing. Half the server is now on a bus. Mumbo's base is a giant vault. Could be his real play.
This is my theory as well.
Maybe Grumbot wants to make Mumbo mayor of the multiverse, not just one world?

While most hermits are gone from Hermitcraft, there are very little resistance opposing whatever Grumbot do there, such as making Mumbo mayor (WHich he said he was going to do)
I was thinking about the portal and how it's now closed. What if when it next opens, all the players that go through end up in the next life series?
Possibly... but if it was the Hermit's server, Sausage might find out that the Mad King is dead.

the next Life series isn’t coming out until next year and I don’t think they’ll be in Empires for that long
@@_kaleido Yeah, Grian confirmed a few weeks ago that the next Life series will come out in early 2023.
I think a more likely outcome us the hermits and some of the emperors go to hermitcraft then when the emperors attempt to return home that'll be the start of the 4th life series.
Grumbot is a great plot advancing device. It can be implemented anywhere without much difficulty, season changes, new or leaving members, sending people to play among us...
I actually have a theory about how Joel’s empire might get destroyed. I think that maybe the fountain of strength will somehow get destroyed, and all of upper Stratos will fall on lower Stratos

It was said in the beginning of Empires ( on the reddit at least) That as much as the audience wanted someone to play/be a villain, that due to past commenters none of the empires really wanted to do it... my theory? So why not ask someone else to be the villain? Why not get an entirely different SMP to become the villain? ( that way your viewers won't hate you for being the bad guy) It's kind of already happening ( sort of ) Fwip got Impulse to steal Joel's gold, and Joey is contracting out his plots of murder to X and Cleo. Hermitcrafters become the villains, the empires save themselves and Change the Hermits back to good and in a bittersweet ending the Hermits go home. ( you get a villian , a redemption arch and a bittersweet ending! ) ( you all know scotts going to make us cry when that ending happens right? I don't know what he's going to do but it's going to hit us in the heart when the hermits leave. I hope Pix has enough glass to encase everything they leave behind!)

14 Hermitcraft's went through the rift, and 1 joined later. That's a total of 15. In the event of the war, Gem might be on team Empires because she admitted she plays on both servers and home turf at the time. False is playing 2 separate people. If they catch her on an Empires False day, she would obviously be on that team. That would make it 13/13. However, I doubt, with all the backlash Hermits are getting for doing this collab, that there will be a war. I know Pearl needs to kill Sausage at some point, but I really don't think it will be due to war.

There are at least 14 Hermits on Empires, Bdubs made his way to Empires too and then the portal broke. I never believe that Grumbot will go to Empires. I think that Martyn is the bad guy this season and that the Hermits and the Empires has to work together to defeat him and bring him back to Hermitcraft.
there might be 15 if ren made it through but this might've been put together before we knew bdubs was there(he hasn't put out an episode at all yet far as i know)
Martyn actually revealed on Jimmy’s restaurant stream that he had no idea about the HC x Empires crossover lol. He just thought the portal was cool-looking and decided to end his stream going into it to mess with his viewers, but when the chat started spamming “LORE” he panicked and messaged Jimmy asking what was going on
I wondered if the Hermits going to Empires was to bring someone back with them to be the newest Hermit. 🤔 Kinda like a scouting mission to see who’s worthy!
When the Hermits go back home, I wouldn't be shocked if we see Grumbot wearing a crown, and hoarding the missing diamonds
Ok so here's a list of all the hermits left on the hermitcraft server, that is, didn't go through the rift: Iskall, Stressmonster, Vintagebeef, Xbcrafted, Mumbo, Welsknight, Rendog and Zedaph.
What if, the rift was a way to get rid of the major players of the HermitCraft server.
The lodestone with the button was placed by Grumbot: we didn't really see how he moves, but he did come through the portal. He also gave Grian the compasses connected to the lodestone. He also seemed...intent on getting Grian through the portal.
Grumbot's prime directive is to make Mumbo mayor. now that the king is gone, it was only a matter of time before Grumbot needed to get rid of Mumbo's other opposition, namely Scar. Though he could have reasons for getting rid of everyone else as well, Scar was the biggest obstacle. now that Scar is on Empires, Grumbot can do whatever he wants, including make Mumbo mayor.
This becomes more and more likely with Mumbo coming back to YT slowly.
I'm definitely leaning towards the Grumbot Theory, with the added idea that it's all for the primary directive. "Make Mumbo Mayor"
For the first theory, I wonder about false and Gem, Maybe Gem will be more in a referee position and for the sake of team balance puppetting a false.
Grian's Tag game is the first part of the Prank War.
Grian called more than 13 hermits for example Geminitay was supposed to come but she was late so she didn't enter
The Grumbot theory reminds me of PAMA from Minecraft: Story Mode. Like how PAMA wanted to send his mind controlled "friends" into the portal hall to spread his knowledge and how Grumbot is theoretically attempting to make a version of itself in the Empires universe to connect to its hive mind.

I have a theory
Portal is broken on both sides? What if Hermts can't go back because it needs to be fixed on the other side?
Maybe thats the point where Mumbo comes back, maybe he needs to fix portal for his friends to come back as well
Watch as Grian rebuild Grumbot on Empires to get some answers, thus allowing Grumbot to invade.
Maybe the portal will open up so much that the whole world gets overrun and everyone from season one appear including Zornoth making an all out war making the the Hermits and the Empires to work together with what’s left of the world to defeat Zornoth again but then Grombot goes through as well and helps Zornoth make the portal corrupt trapping the emperors
This actually might be the same Grumbot as in Grian's universe because in season, Mumbo and Grian told Grumbot that Mumbo was mayor.

They do. But the Hermits have Doc; the man who can send an arrow instantly through 3,000 blocks to one-shot a player in full netherite armour, obliterating the armour in the process. I wouldn't underestimate the GOAT and his hive mind if things came to a war footing ;)
(Realistically, though, I think the Grumbot plot is the most feasible one.)

1. Bdubs is there.
2. False is doing BOTH SIDES. She's still cranking out Empires and Hermitcraft episodes!
And Rendog might be the Mad King of Sausage's backstory.

Im waiting for Bdubs to upload, cause he has been seen on Empires, but was not one of the initial 13 hermits. Also at the end of Sausages latest video we can hear two new portal noises, similar to the noises we heard at the end of Sausages video directly before the hermits entered the empires lands. This raises the question, who is the other visitor alongside Bdubs. Is it Martyn? Ren? Or someone completely unknown. Whose to say its from the Hermitcraft server?
Grumbot might be the virus from Season 8 wanting destruction for both worlds.

I feel like grumbot will be the like real big bad of both universes, as thinking to it, a war for the two groups don't feel like it happen... Normally, sure maybe little scuffles since the hermits are playing themselves and the empires for the most part just happy with there new friends. But what if grumbot planned.for this all to go his own way and will do something to turn all the hermits on the emperors not of there full choice, we saw what happened in season 1 with he who shall not be named can do. What if grumbot wants them to fight so he indeed can make mumbo for mayor in every reality, to fulfill his purpose knowing he made mumbo mayor in every reality, as while the hermits think of it as a simple vacation and the emperors as new guests, are now planted in by a third party both sides had no idea was pulling there strings.
Pixl or Ori meeting Pearl will change everything and I think if 2 Falses should meet, a paradox happens that powers up The RIFT
you should do a video on watchers, they first appeared on the evo server that had people like grian, pearl, jimmy, martyn, big b etc. there were watchers that controlled the server and well, watched, it always comes up at the end of martyns series in the life series and is interesting. something yall might like!

tbh I have a theory based on stuff Gem has revealed in her latest empires video, that her lore is that she's just changing outfits and joining different servers and such. Well my theory is that maybe the empires s1 version of Gem and the s2 version are more connected than we may think, that is to say maybe their one and the same. We all know Gem from s1 of empires was well versed in the ways of magic, and we all know they were technically still alive at the end of s1, so what if at some point after s1 of empires they learned about the multiverse and how to traverse it. And maybe after a while she decided to setup lives in multiple universes in order to keep track of them and keep any multiversal threats(like maybe a rogue ai determined to control the multiverse) from succeeding. And maybe the reason empires s2 Gem is "different" from the s1 version is because she's trying to hide the fact that they are one and the same in order to keep the multiverse safe. And as for how she's remained alive all this time, well time doesn't necessarily work the same in different dimensions, so maybe time moves faster in the empires world compared to some of the other dimensions she may have visited, allowing her to seemingly live longer than normal.
Also Note: When I say her latest episode, I mean as of writing this.

unfortunately the balance between Hermits and Empires as been broken by Bdubs. He was too lonely on Hermitcraft and broken all the laws of the universe just to go to Empires

for your first theory there is one thing, there are 3 empires who are also hermits so how's side would they pick?
Well gem is both characters, pearl and false’s characters are separate at least of what we know so they will probably we on their own servers
The first theory kinda breaks since we saw bdoubleO in Joel's recent episode. So there are 14 hermits now.
Did You See False's Hermit Craft Empires (Hermires Is What I Call It Now) Episode And At The End We Saw The Rift Turn Completely Black And Unusable?
It could also be that xornoth is grumbot and try to take over both servers and it perfectly matches is you see the timeline
Imagine if half the hermits and half the emperors gets sent to the Dream SMP next.
In retrospect, knowing how it all turned out, I am genuinely not surprised that it didn't turn into a war. A war within the hermitcraft community is one thing, with Hermits taking sides against each other. But as hermitcraft and empires are two separate SMPs with separate fanbases, a war (even if it's all in good fun) would create divides and animosity between the two fanbases. Especially if one of the two SMPs was found to be the 'winner'.
I have no doubt the players on each SMP would have been able to pull it off successfully in a fun way, but it's the communities that would have kinda ruined it by taking things way too seriously, as communities tend to do.
Since i met grumbot in season 9 i always had a weird feeling about grumbot like it's evil different or doom for all of us and now that you made a theorie about grumbot i feel like grumbot is pamma i have a bad feeling about "grumbot" if "grumbot" is it's name
I think grumble is attempting to get rid of the hermits so he can take over hermitcraft with less people to stop him and he closed the rifts
I kinda feel like the rift on the empires side will grow and maybe once it’s grown to the size of the rift in hermit craft it will open again (this probably won’t happen but it’s just a thought 🤷♀️)
I have a theory branching off of the grumbly theory. What if the hermits that are left on hermit craft start to try and re open the rift and the hermits on empires open their rift so then they can go back to hermit craft but then grumbly turns on them and goes through the portal OR he forces the remaining hermits through the portal and they have to figure out another way to get back

Here's a theory of mine: If there is only one Gem and she just does a costume change and goes to different worlds (Hermitcraft and Empires) ,does that mean she may know a way for the other Hermits to get back to the world of Hermitcraft

It was shown in Sausage's first crossover video there were two things coming from the Rift before it closed. One of them was Bdubs. The other one has yet to be revealed.
Bdubs explained how he got on Empires when he showed up on Gem's livestream.
He arrived late so he went in after everyone else but before it closed.

I don't think a wars coming it's been very peaceful though the plot line with hc false and empires false could cause something emp false doesn't trust the hermits and hc false is trying to avoid emp false at all cost

Grumbot Prime probably wanted the hermits to act like Canon fodder weakening the empires on the server so that it's easier to invade also the portal turned off so he probably did that so he could prepare for the multiverse invasion without being disturbed then he might turn it back on when he is ready but that's just my theory. While I'm not doubting Grumbot might try to invade Empires SMP, it's also not an advanced land like Hermitcraft is. Part of me is hoping that Mumbo makes a return and is the one to trick Grumbot into restoring the rift to let his friends return home. Mumbo is the King of Red Stone and could maybe use that to his advantage to make Evil Grumbot do what he wants. A 'Hermpire' fan can only hope for such a thing to happen. =^_^=
