Hi 😊, yes - alot of the times the conversation guides the questions that BAs ask. I would usually try to sell the new concept first, talk about the scope, why we are introducing a new concept and the values it will add to the business. And if I'm getting resistance, I would ask alot of questions using 'why', and I would also try to focus on the issues they may be having with the current concept, for example - why do you feel that the new concept will disrupt your usual tasks, what would you like to do differently in your day to day tasks, and in trying to sell the new concept, I could say something about it which could solve the pain point, for example, 'do you know this new concept can eliminate you having to extract reports onto excel' and 'you will be able to filter fields within this new concept and enter your queries directly into it' there will be no need to copy and paste onto excel and you will save alot of time and improve efficiency etc.

@@stormstorm2113 yes definitely. I think with practice, it will come naturally. I still struggle sometimes tbh even after 6 years😅. There are so many aspects of the role and you'll find your strongest and most enjoyable part of it eventually and the rest will just follow.
Hi Mercy, I have the foundation certificate in Business Analysis, Requirements engineering certificate, Business Analysis Practice certificate and Modelling Business Processes Certificate. These are the four modules required to attain the Diploma in Business Analysis. There is a final oral exam to take to get the actual diploma however I do not have this yet. This information can be found on www.bcs.org. I also have a CSPO certification which is the certified scrum product Owner certificate, it mainly covers what Product owners do in the Agile Scrum approach. I hope I've been able to help 😊
