I had no idea this existed. Thanks for the music. I'll have to try and hunt this game down. Seems like such an oddball game to release on a system like the Genesis. But I guess they did do like 3 friggin Galaga games on the PC Engine.
It's got a few little differences from standard invaders, just like those galaga games did, but it's similar and good for quick pick up and plays. The action is fast and the soundtrack helps with the appeal
Just like Centipede took a turn in a different direction for the Wii. There should be a Space Invaders Shmup, side scrolling or top down, with this soundtrack.
ha yeah.. the words on the back of this game's box makes it sound a lot more spectacular than the screenshots.. description sounds a lot more action packed

absolutely mindblowing soundtrack for a space invaders game
Nope Noriyuki Iwadare’s debut and what a banger of a debut.
The music was like 50% of this game's appeal for me. I love it.
Love Noriyuki Iwadare's music. He also composed Langrisser II with Isao Mizoguchi, one of the best Mega Drive OSTs.

I think there should be a Space Inavders game in After Burner pseudo 3d perspective.

although this version gets a lot of negative comparisons compared to space invaders on the pc engine, i still really liked it
Nuts to that, I love this game. The PC Engine extension of Space Invaders, not so much.
Who cares what people think? This version got the best soundtrack.
