ALISIA DRAGOON!! I've always known that one day I would find the name of that game that I played at the very youngest age. And then i'm listening to sega music and see Alisia Dragoon and think 'hmm, lady, dragon, better check it out'. And there it is. I am permanently happier now I have recovered this missing knowledge.
Great editing job including footage of each game, and blending music together, really good nostalgia punch! Thank you for putting in so much effort, it shows.
It is incredible how the Genesis can produce GREAT music!!!! Wow! Thank you for this montage! (Some of the music would feel right at home in an 80s movie training montage!)
Nice video. Love the Mega Drive and its Yamaha YM2612 FM synthesizer. Really great music is made for this platform. Streets of Rage: Moon Beach, Beatnik on the Ship. Outrun: Magical Sound Shower and so on....
Amazing playlist/tributes to the Genesis! Can't stop listening to this! Thanks for the nostalgia and for introducing me to some more music and games I've never heard of until now. Have always loved the sound of the Genesis. It has such a unique sound that's so nostalgic, distinctive, comforting and I dunno almost haunting sounding? Hey a lot of these songs would really make epic heavy metal songs btw! Such good music tho like honestly! Both these tributes are really awesome, I love every song and great how you've included in game footage along with each one. It really is a blast from the past thank you! :-D
Tommy Tallarico has made some of the best music in the video game industry. There's WAY too many amazing Mega Genesis tracks to list let alone do a video on. Great selection
You best picks on this video (imo): (1) 42:03 *_Shining Force II_* (2) 10:44 *_Cool Spot_* (3) 36:25 *_Golden Axe III_* (4) 08:22 *_TMNT: Hyperstone Heist_* (5) 17:29 *_Mega Man: The Wiley Wars_* (6) 44:40 *_Langrisser II_* Altho, I'm really surprised that *_Langrisser II_* wasn't the best on this list... ...but I think if you had chosen one of the other tracks, like the _Main Theme_ OR _Bargas_ it would taken 1st place.
people forget how despite being like an advertisement thingmfor 7up, or licensed game, Cool Spot was a really really good platformer and the soundtrack was awesome
My favorite Sega Genesis soundtracks I like are Green Hill Zone from Sonic the Hedgehog, Whirlwind from Shinobi III: Return of the Ninja Master, Metropolis Zone from Sonic the Hedgehog 2 and Launch Base Zone Act 1 from Sonic the Hedgehog 3. I also like Wily Tower Stage 2 from Mega Man: The Wily Wars and Fiend's Path from Golden Axe.
Sub-terrania deserves a place here!!!, the soundtrack was designed by Jesper kyd creator of masterpieces like the Assassins Creed OST!!!, give it a try...won´t regret!!!
Games uploader chose are pretty much the same i would'we chose, but i prefer different songs. Those two videos are good reminder on where to look though.
Marry SNES if you like jrpg and music which is like a toy for babies. Otherwise don’t waste your time on that high maintenance trash. She comes across like she’s all classy but in the end she’s shallow and vain. All show and no substance under the hood.
A lot of this music seems avant garde and some of it gave me a minor headache. Sega may not be what it used to be but it lives on through this music. And the best was Streets Of Rage/Yuzo Koshiro.
Go to project2612.org, download the soundtrack you are interested in (most are less than 1 MB since they are in vgz format) and look at the track names.
How come Strider is not on neither list? The whole OST is a masterpiece, particularly the Grandmaster track. I'd say it's on par with Streets of Rage 2.
342/5000 Wow some soundtracks beam me back to the good old 90's back and I love the MD until today for its awesome games and deep sound that is very heavy Bass but the system has gotten Mega horny with what's there. Neat thing to bring out. Just the last games of 1996 Zeikten went a lot.
I do love the videos, keep them coming, by all means, but didn't you recycle some of the tracks from the first Megadrive tribute? Namely, Sparker's, Decap Attack's and Cool Spot's...
It did win. A true underdog success story. It never stood a chance in Japan because of Evil N's well-established illegal monopolizing practices, but took off in the US and Europe based on Sega's arcade brand, superior sports games and great marketing. Received no AAA Japanese third part support for the first 4 years of its life! Luckily in 1991 a Japanese court finally broke up Nintendo's horribly restrictive and monopolistic third party licensing contracts and companies like Capcom and Konami could release Genesis games starting in 1992. Anyway, during Genesis' life-time, Sega went from under 10% world market share to trouncing Nintendo in many regions. Only Japan was a major Nintendo win.
Incredible compilation. Not only are the songs fantastic, but the videogame footage over the tracks is a nice touch.

Midnight Resistance - Flood of Power simply the best!

TMNT is just freaking awesome!
zellator While I prefer the versions from Turtles in Time, I have to agree, awesome.
After 29 yeard; I still dont understand why I cry every time I hear the music of the first stage in Midnight Resistence, for Genesis!
Because when you were four, uncle Jimmy fondled you when you were playing it and it’s a suppressed memory.
Yea Sega Genesis/Megadrive sound capability are truly magnificent
Спасибо за видос, будто жизнь заново прожил.
Love your collections.
#2 almost sounds like Space Harrier! Great Video man! :-)
If you do a third video, you totally need "Strange Things" from Toy Story, that tune is a technical marvel!
Ah, welcome back four years later, Larry.
After burner 2- take off,
Outstanding selection here
Gaaaah you're so good at this! Another awesome compilation!
Shinobi III - Whirlwind
Wow... your selection was amazing here! I loved the choices for each game. Congrats!!!
That midnight resistance Soundtrack can define the superiority of Genesis!!!
Best compilation of Sega MegaDrive musics I've ever seen, good job !
Did you noticed that almost all JRPG have a blue tables for the text, items, etc =)
Great compilation! Mega Drive is my fav game console even today!
Great editing job including footage of each game, and blending music together, really good nostalgia punch! Thank you for putting in so much effort, it shows.
It is incredible how the Genesis can produce GREAT music!!!! Wow! Thank you for this montage!
(Some of the music would feel right at home in an 80s movie training montage!)
omg terrific compilation! Love the genesis metallic sound!
There is no better game than shining force ,didnt find anything like that. Love ur collection man,u brought my memories back ,thanks
Nice video. Love the Mega Drive and its Yamaha YM2612 FM synthesizer. Really great music is made for this platform. Streets of Rage: Moon Beach, Beatnik on the Ship. Outrun: Magical Sound Shower and so on....
thank you for your amazing work with these compilations
Thanks a lot there!

Came hear for Sub-Terrania haha. The memories of leaving the genesis on just to listen to the crazy beats
sub terrania is jesper kyd
Nice video!
Golden Axe, Dragon ball, Eternal champions and Vectorman are my favorite ost's of all times.
thank you, best!
Love your videos pal, never tired of listening it
The genesis has the best metal songs for their games.
Gotta love that twang.
Huh?
Zerei Super Hang-on várias vezes, essa era a música que eu mais gostava, relembrei a infância agora
The sega genesis is my favorite console :)
"Music by Bo"... whenever I saw that in the credits in the 90s, I knew why the music was so damn good!
25:54 HERMOSO SOUNTRACK ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
The Color Pallet on Hyperstone Heist is much better than the SNES
Tommy Tallarico has made some of the best music in the video game industry.
There's WAY too many amazing Mega Genesis tracks to list let alone do a video on. Great selection
My ears thx u
Say what you will about the Snes sound chip but the Mega Drive is "sharper" and cleaner. Fucking love it.
The bass is orgasmic!
No doubt. Sega should get the original composers to remake these as proper music tracks (rather than the dated chip tune sound).

Mega Turrican ficou fantástico.
I love you genesis
people forget how despite being like an advertisement thingmfor 7up, or licensed game, Cool Spot was a really really good platformer and the soundtrack was awesome
Sakimoto!!
Great playlist! But... why no Splatterhouse? Definitely my favorite Mega Drive OST.
In my opinion, I liked Streets Of Rage 2's soundtrack better, because of how ambient it was, and how they fit in with a level.
That's why it's in tribute 1 and not 2, dumbass
venomTang facepalm
@@venomtang hey! Watch your mouth!
YES DUDE! Compilation is Great!! SONIC 3D BLAST ftw!
Decap Attack was so fun me and my friend would fight over the controller lol
No matter how realistic modern games will become, Nothing will ever come close to the 80's/90's magic.
Great set. I'd like to play it on our local radio station if that's ok for you
Sub Terrania - Jesper Kyd - Crystal Space sounds like one of slowdowned Batman and Robin tracks
the entire Streets or rage series
Dune 2 The Battle for Arrakis - TURBULENCE is missing ! ! ! hello from Russia
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yeaaaaaaa Mega Turrican =)
Accidentaly read it as Mega Murrican, haha!
Just perfect !
Mega turrican is the best
But when you add Sonic CD and Knuckles Chaotix, that whole list explodes. Also, where the fuck is Dynamite Head?
The first track is good.
That first track sounds very much like some zerowing tunes.. you should seriously look at zerowing. Has amazing tunes
all this games came out in sega genesis colletion game :D
Very cool show de bola.
dEVIL cRASH VICIANTE
Sub-terrania deserves a place here!!!, the soundtrack was designed by Jesper kyd creator of masterpieces like the Assassins Creed OST!!!, give it a try...won´t regret!!!
muito bom

I another great video, I love all your compilations. Do you have any plans in the future for more?
rcv826 I have not yet decided what's next. New videos will necessarily.
Marry snes, because you know, she fine.
But, party all night, every night with the genesis!!
Marry SNES if you like jrpg and music which is like a toy for babies.
Otherwise don’t waste your time on that high maintenance trash. She comes across like she’s all classy but in the end she’s shallow and vain. All show and no substance under the hood.
Gaiares is sensacional
Stand up against myself in Thunder Force IV(Lightning Force)
ECCO *-*
ECNO!!!!
My question is how do you have Langrisser II, but not KINGDOM KNIGHT from Langrisser I? also, no love for Shining Force I's Kane theme?
A lot of this music seems avant garde and some of it gave me a minor headache. Sega may not be what it used to be but it lives on through this music. And the best was Streets Of Rage/Yuzo Koshiro.
For Vectorman 2 I would've chosen Shadow Nose
Thunder force 3? :P
Great set! More better than vol.1
Where you found the name of the tracks? For example from Midnight Resistance.
Go to project2612.org, download the soundtrack you are interested in (most are less than 1 MB since they are in vgz format) and look at the track names.
Thank you very much!
Dope as fuck.....
Oooh, you missed Zero wing. As bad a reputation as that game had for its translations, the music and gameplay were some of the best on the MD.
what you say? All your base are belong to us!!!
no dynamite headdy? =/
How come Strider is not on neither list? The whole OST is a masterpiece, particularly the Grandmaster track. I'd say it's on par with Streets of Rage 2.

+Then00bhunt3r This. That games music is amazing. Certainly better than Road Rash.
It's in the third video ;-)
Fullmetal Fighter made me hate my life.
Is it ok to download this music for personal use? I really like it.
hello im chinese player and i like game music ,can i reprint your video to my cuntry website?
ok
Spybionic thanks very much!
If I may ask, what website?
I really think that Sega Genesis should have won the video game war of the 90's. Like if you agree!
It did win, in our hearts.
It did won in the US, beated the SNES by 5% of the market share when the 32-bit war started in 1995.
Alexei Gladyshev It won in Europe and Japan!SNES won only in USA.

It sold twice as many games the SNES.
...I dont understand how a track from X-Men, is here! 🤦🏻♂️
I love the X-Men cartoons, but unfortunately, both his X-Men picks (here & on his other video) were REALLY BAD !!!
how is air diver not on either list?
You forgot Road Rash
continue 19:#4
The Genesis could sound amazing in the right hands. Or farts.
Когда выйдет 3 часть?
