One of the greatest and most criminally underrated soundtracks on the system. Those fuckawesome thunderous taiko drum samples instantly evoke Basil Poledouris' Conan score, which is the best praise possible for a sword & sorcery game. I have no idea how Naofumi Hataya managed to squeeze those drums out of the YM2612, but the guy must be some kind of wizard, because I only ever heard them in two games on the platform - GA2 and GA3.
This game has such beatiful OST!
Golden Axes series ost's was really amaizing
Amazing*
Cool game, it was really nice to play back then, remember to playing it with my lil bro. We play it sometimes actually, never gets old, And the soundtrack it's a beauty. Man you can even feel that an epic battle it's happening at The Gate of Fate theme. As always, thank you for your amazing work as always Dustin!
Underappreciated soundtrack from an underappreciated game.
played it many times on a summer vacation
One of my favorite ost ever ❤
Tender Hamlet sounds alot like something from the Hybrid Front
That track was made by Naofumi Hataya i think the melody so much by him
Tender Hamlet is my favorite song in the game. I remember when I first found out about Golden Axe III, I immediately looked up the soundtrack and when I heard that song I loved it! I think this title originally only came out on the Sega Channel here in the US.
Oh fuck yes. Thanks man, this is a really good one.
Thanks
I love this soundtrack!!
Hey all, if you like what I do and have a few bucks to spare, please consider helping us out: gofund.me/eac518c0
Say what you want about the game, but the OST slaps.
Vast field stage 1 and Map Screen are my favorites. Beautiful
Amo o Golden Axe 3, melhor jogo
00:29:50 Ride the Whirlwind (Stage 6A)
Composed: Naofumi Hataya
I know it's apparently an unpopular opinion but this is my favorite Golden Axe for consoles and my prefered soundtrack of the three available for Genesis/Megadrive. Also for years I didn't even knew all the protagonists were replacementes since at that time I never got to play Revenge of Death Adder.
Same. I thoroughly enjoyed the more interesting roster, though I do miss my Dwarf homey, and the gameplay and soundtrack were topnotch.
@@fedupN Definitively, Gillius Thunderhead was my main in previous games. I switched to the Panther in this one.
@@RockoEstalon Rad! Panther was awesome, but when playing with my buddy, he ran the Panther and I rolled with the Giant.
@@fedupNThe giant was pretty cool. I thought both giant and panther were a bit more interesting visually than the two barbarians who were not even Ax Battler and Tyris Flare.
It's the best. Bare Knuckle 3 is only beat'em up on the platform that even come close to the ludicrous amount of options and depth GA3 has.
thank for the upload... one of the most underrated gems of genesis.
best ost? 32:11
Babababa the vaste stage 1 wow
Nice
not the best golden axe game but "ancient mound" rules, it reminds me of pink floyd's the wall. Death Mountain goes in too.
Try "Golden Axe Returns" Openbor
Spaghetti Western inspired music
