Natalie's laugh and her voice is so recognizable. She was so gorgeous. What a loss to have lost her. So young.

What charisma. Sadly there isn't anyone around today I would walk across the street to see. There are no stars around today that had this kind of charm. Most stars today are just ...well, they are not stars. They are disposable personalities.

What made Natalie so attractive was that her beauty was not a debutante "dahling" type. She was much more the spunky "girl next door" type. Her looks, and her personality, made her the ULTIMATE Girl Next Door. And her sister Lana was really beautiful too.

Pamelot, Thank you for your reply, what a fascinating story regarding the history of early home tapings etc. I truly think you ought to consider having this very rare interview transferred to DVD or to some other digital format so that it doesn't ever get "lost" or degrades? It might be the only copy still in existence? A LOT of early television has been wiped over by the TV companies so this interview is very rare. Have you made copies in case the original tape degrades?

That's incredible because in 1979 not many people had video recorders.. Can you tell us all a bit more about how you came to record it, and keep it preserved in such great shape for over 30 years? Thank you (I wish someone had done the same for Judy Garland On "The Merv Griffin Show" in 1968, which is now lost!!)

If you mix Judy Garland's looks with Elizabeth Taylor's looks you would get Natalie Wood, because Natalie Wood with her big doe eyes reminds me of Judy and her daughter Liza Minnelli, she reminds me of her when she was young in her Mickey Rooney days and also Natalie has more sex appeal then Judy did and I don't mean that in a bad way but her face kinda reminds me also of Liz Taylor for some reason.

@charvelgtrs I know right Natalie Wood, Audrey Hepburn, Judy Garland , Karen Carpenter although not an actress, they were all the prettiest brunettes of way back all beautiful all were not blonde or blue eyed but had so much beauty. Theres two young stars now that look a bit like Natalie there names are one is Olivia Munn she looks a lot like her and another young teen star named Victoria Justice who sort of resembles Natalie.

It bugs me how in these interviews with her they always say "you look just as pretty as you did in _________." It's like, how about you say "You've grown into a beautiful woman." According to her sister, around this time she was really trying to revive her acting career but in now in her late 30's/mid 40's roles had started to dry up and she wanted to go back to how it once was. Hollywood is such a mindf**k, then and now.

I really doubt roles were dried up for Natalie. I learned not to believe even what Lana says because she also has given Natalie back handed compliments.

Not out to make waves, but if you listen to it, that's what she says...part 2....And also, couldn't this have been on October 31, 1979? National UNICEF Day is on the same day every year, isn't it? Even if she said she saw An Unmarried Woman recently, it doesn't mean it had to be right after it came out, does it? I just don't think she would "forget" which year her 6th anniversary was, if you know what i mean.
