I felt that very same way listening to this. She is very well rounded, informed and well spoken. She answered each question intelligently as well as always keeping the answers positive when the interviewer was really trying to get her to agree or confirm all the negative commentary about life in the film industry. She is lovely! Beautiful Soul.

I wish young people would listen to her elegant speech patterns. No "like" after every two words. No annoying valley girl "up talking." The studios provided speech training to the stars because they knew that the way a person speaks contributes to their charisma and attractiveness. The way people speak today makes them sound like idiots.

That, and the fact that if you could pronunciate well, it was easier to audio record and easier for the movie goers to understand what was being said. Nowadays, dialogue is pretty much, all throwaway ...

I hear you brother. Hard to imagine her twerking to WAP, or playing with herself onstage like Miley Cyrus, isn't it?? She never even bitched and wailed about feminism, in a loud and aggressive way like so many women were beginning to do in the 70s. Like Linda Ronstadt, I just never got the feeling that she hated men, or felt "oppressed" by society the way so many of today's low-classed "stars" do.

My Father drowned in a fishing accident not long after Natalie's death. I was a kid at the time...and a Natalie Wood fan. AFter Dad's death, I sent Robert Wagner a letter (via his tv show Hart To Hart)...telling him how much I loved Natalie...and also how my Father died. A few weeks later an envelope arrived....with a beautiful signed photo of Natalie, sent by Robert Wagner. It was a very kind gesture....and made this sad kid just a little less sad.

I hope, for her sake, justice is finally served. Rest in peace Natalie.

I see her and hear her wise comments and I think she is in a fabulous place where her own energy has matched with the likes of other beings that are on her level. I would expect her regrets to have been not to raise her girls, but ironically, Wagner did a good job at it . His kids love him, so, Natalie is at peace, knowing it, instead of wishing for justice. It is not in the hands of the humans , living on this planet. Maybe we need to let it be. It will be handled by the will of the Source/God. No one escapes any ill acts, so, we may want to let it go, at that.

Wagner killed her and Walken was complicit at the least. Another case of "disposing of your wife" as it had been done for thousands of years and still continues today - despite fame or money; from the trailer park to the mansion. Women always pay the price.

Amie Knudson Witnesses from another boat stated they heard Natalie in the water crying for help but they couldn't see her and no one wanted to jump in the water because it was too cold, to save her. This tells me that RJ didn't kill her, at least before she got in the water. Otherwise she wouldn't have been screaming for help. And none of the three men on board heard her so that tells me she had wandered far away from the yacht .

I was going to comment on her accent as well. I was going to point out that she didn't take the Hollywood taught Transatlantic accent (they called it because it was supposed to appeal both to American and British audiences) to the extreme. A lot of the stars of that generation ended up sounding like they were faking a diluted British accent instead. I appreciate that Natalie didn't try to keep that accent up for the cameras in the interview but was just fine talking in her own accent which sounded much more relatable and authentic.

I thought a lot about what happened to her, read all the witness' reports and stories. I'm usually good to get to the bottom of mysteries, but I'm still unsure in this case.
Fact is, they were all very drunk. Thus impaired memory + judgment.
She probably did fall in accidentally during the row with her husband, and he, being angry, decided to just leave her in for a while to "teach her a lesson", then misjudged the situation at how quickly someone would die in really cold water.
At any rate, his unwillingness to search for her led to her death and thus he is complicit no matter how it happened.

you are welcome! you know I've read through a medium that Natalie wood said of what happened that night and Robert Wagner let her drown that night they were having problems with there marriage she wanted off the boat and he was with her he hit her multiple times and pushed her in the water!! He is very jealous of her career! I believe it was Natalie coming through the medium!! He lied and not enough evidence to really convict him!! He was not a nice person as people think he was.

It is exactly how I see it , as well. I am an empath but not a medium, that I know of. Maybe I need to work on that possibility......in the meantime, I just want facts, then the picture comes up.

    • @sohooded
      @sohooded 7 років тому +6

I agree. II don't know how she got in the water, fell or pushed. But new witnesses and the Captain tell of the drunken, furious argument on the back of the boat, then silence. Wagner waited 3 hours coordinating everyone's story, lawyering up, knowing all the while how Natalie dreaded the dark water, and that she was probably dying. It is unforgivable.. His unfathomable negligence killed her.

A nice interview but Natalie sounds a little too positive in light of alleged things that have come out since. This story fits into that frustrating category of events that frustrate us so very much because we're not at all sure the true story has come out. As a child of the 50's I still haven't gotten over the very odd circumstances sounding the death of George Reeves. And of course the big one...what really took place in the JFK assassination? All of these great mysteries, will the whole truth ever come out?

Maybe there’s a life where she gets to live to be an old woman, watch her babies grow up, & get the life she truly deserved. I will forever believe Wagner killed her, and Walken has always known the truth of what happened. Both of those men getting to grow old.. If only she was treated as the gem she was.

everyone that was in the cove is a person of interest. The DA was asked if Wagner was a suspect and he said no. Even if someone dies in your house of natural causes while you are there you are a person of interest. Ask any lawyer or 1st-year law student.

Natalie made the transition from child star to "grown-up" actress and thus to fame by playing Judy to the immortal James Dean in Rebel Without a Cause ... She was just 16 but was no innocent, having concurrent affairs w/Nick Ray (director, age 42), Dennis Hopper (who was heartbroken), as well as Nick Adams --- Nat "go around"...Hollywood style..Nevertheless, I agree she was very intelligent and as fellow star Raddy McDowall said, " "She was the 'prettiest' girl he'd ever seen (reserving most beautiful to his pal Elizabeth Taylor , which of course was undeniable) ... Natalie's premature death was tragic and murder ... Wagner should've been imprisoned for his crime.

I still watch re-runs of the tv series Hart to Hart , with Robert Wagner and Stephanie powers, in an 1993 interview powers did admit that her and Wagner had a special Relationship,
When you work 14 hours a day with the same person for years you can't help but bond together in a special way.
She lost her husband ,man or whatever, Wagner lost Natalie in 1981 I believe hart to hart debuted around 1979 so it makes you wonder!
Stephanie powers had him on fire on the set if you pay attention to some of the episodes. Just listen at some of their scripts . Lol.😎😁😜

      (guest)
Dear Siskin, we cannot assume that Wagner somehow precipitated Natalie's death.
It could easily have been an accident, after a glossy evening , plus maybe a row?
On a boat, anyone could skip or miss their footing in the dark...especially if drunk..
And if you are in that conditioning could easily drown.
Those inside the boat might not have even heard a splash....
      All so sad .
On a brighter note, have you seen Natalie at a young age in the fiim , "Scudda Hoo, Scudda Hay"?
      ( it's a call to mules to "giddy-up" )
Natalie was so cute and funny as the scrawny little "busy - body", gathering and passing on information to the older folk.
There's also a fleeting glimpse of a young Marylin Monroe, but " blink and you'll miss it !"
( at the church, all about to return home).
I really enjoyed the film, had never heard of it before: it's here on You Tube somewhere...
      😊
