Got to say, every word spoke in this clip is so true. From my perspective I thought I’d cracked it doing all Liam asked, then it vanished, you/I have to keep the faith.
My big issue is that: duing the lesson I can feel what I must feel. I go to sleep and literally the next day I can't get the feeling back in the body this will go on for a couple of days and then the feeling starts comming back. It is such a strange experience..
To change anything, you must do deep practice, which is focusing to your absolute limit and trying to perform something radically outside of your ability. Basically, try 100% to perform an “exaggerated” move in your swing. That’s the only way to improve!
No disrespect James and I love your channel, but this kind of came off like Liam trying to justify giving you bad advice before going to S. Africa. Bottom line, it probably wasn’t wise to take on a whole new swing feel/move before embarking on a series of tournaments in a different country. Crazy how a coach wouldn’t understand that.
@@jpa_fasty3997 I agree that golf is a long term project, but it’s really not a good idea for a coach to give someone a radically different swing thought right before a bunch of tournaments where the student will be in a different country and unable to meet with the coach. Liam should have told him to play his game and swing his swing in South Africa, and let’s look at changing things up when you come back.
@@Badfinger4after 1 lesson James could have droped him & went to someone else who could have worked with what he had. It’s obvious Liam teaches a certain swing. It’s like going to a pro who teaches stack & tilt. You either stick with it or go to someone more traditional

So true, if had this experience. And unweighting is a term others have used
I liked this chat, actually
Great video. Everyone who tries to improve with lessons should watch this; however, the UA-cam rabbit hole is always very tempting 😁😁.
Great conversation; thanks for sharing this with us. When Liam talks abt bad habits always being there, I can totally relate. 😭
Great point! Your habits are always going to be there. Keep doing the drills on video to be sure you’re doing them correctly.
Great video- love it
@jameswitshire can you do towel drills during a competitive round?
This was a great conversation.
Be great to see you getting Brando in some videos! Difficult with his schedule tho

Helllllooooo, you been watching me go round in circles or what! 😂
Haha we’re all in the same boat
I really like the new words unweighting ❤ noice

Did he not want to move away from standing in the direct projector light? 😂
Jesus your a good player and if your going thru this what chance has a old hacker like me got good to see that we all have issues
Serious question. Are you able to hit your towel in a comp (practice swing obviously 😂) or does it count as a swing aid if you do?
I square my 3 wood face with a trolley wheel before striking - and in a comp yes. Nobody complains.
😂😂
I swear I really tried to click the folder icon on Liam's face.
Because we don’t greatly change our swings during a lesson. We think we do because the teacher encourages us….which might not be a good thing.
Is it just me or is Liam the spitting image of a young Oliver Reed?
Big question here.Is Liam Robinson the son of Oliver Reed?

Don’t like that take at all, you can’t blame the coach that you go to when you don’t follow the drills properly. James went to him for a reason.
It's a long term project, not about finding the answer for a few tournaments in SA

Or.....he worked on swing so much he ignored maintaining his short game.
