What a coincidence, as I just purchased Violet Ida. It was such an unexpected love, since i am not the biggest vanilla fan. I also really like Scherzo and Peau Santal, but need to test my samples a bit more. Miller Harris is such a wonderful house, and it is great that they are relatively affordable.
As a Jane Birkin-fan i was very keen to try l’Air de Rien, and i was so worried after reading some negative reviews, but luckily I loved it and added it to my library right away. Such an understated, comforting scent, and with amazing longevity.

Le Feuille was the first ever MH perfume that I got maybe years ago. I bought without smelling it first and I fell in love with MH! I have quite a few now, but this video inspired me to try a few new ones.
Went to the stores today and smelt Scherzo. Absolutely delicious. Also got a whiff of their new release Myrica Muse and that was divine. Would love to hear your thoughts on it. Moral of the story I left with 2 beauties 😂😂
Speaking about “Niche Fragrances” I was trying out Armani Privé fragrances today at the local Douglas store. My moms had ran out of her favourite scent (Figuer Eden) and I went to buy it for her again. I decided to try three of the scents that were laid out: Vert Malachine (I enjoyed it but didn’t test it on my skin), Rouge Malachite (the Jus de Rose fave) and Ambre Eccentrico (fascinating one, really.) I also tried Olympea by Paco Rabbane (I’d been curious). Once again I prove to myself how important it is to test the perfumes on the skin! After 3 hours of wearing the perfumes this is how they had transformed: Olympea ended up a very weird and rather masculine (according to my mother) scent on me. All of that Gourmand sweetness was gone. It was weirdly refreshing to the nose… Rouge Malachite was phenomenal. It kept its scent profile 3 hours later. Very feminine. Ambre Eccentric had mostly kept its scent profile but it had become this almost gourmand sweetness that I didn’t enjoy. Basically, dang. Perfume on skin tests matter.
I finally ordered a 50ml of Scherzo … thanks for the discount Josephine!! I do hope I love it as there was no way to sample it, I trust your recommendations!! Much love 💕

I love MH, I own quite a lot and I wish some they discontinued quick would come back like Velvet cherry and Black datura. They are amazing! My most loved one is Poirier d'un soir but I enjoy a lot Tea tonique, lumiere doree , Citron citron, rose silence. Unfortunately la fumee in all versions and feullies de tabac are too masculine and dry for me but I love to sniff them around the house.

I blind bought Scherzo on your recommendation. She’s lovely. I blind bought a bottle of Peau Santal bc the notes were right up my alley. I was super excited but when it arrived it was like faintly scented alcohol. I tried over spraying it, giving my nose a few days rest from it, waited a month and tried again. Nothing. 98% alcohol and 2% fragrance. I’m being generous with that 2%. I will try anything with Santal in the name and I usually love them but this was a huge disappointment.
For me Oud eclat is more similar to Oud satin mood, but yeah it is similar to something from MFK. I have Scherzo and I would probably get Feuilles de tabac or Etui noir in the future, but Le cedre, Tea tonique and Reverie de bergamote aren't bad also. Pity they don't ship to Europe, but my local store keeps their fragrances, so no problem there. Thank you for the video!

What do you think of perfume ingredients? I've heard some perfumes have really bad chemicals in them that actually can disrupt your endocrine system/hormones when inhaled or put on the skin. Would love to see a "Science Behind Fragrance" video about it from you! What constitutes a "healthy fragrance"?
There’s a regulatory body for the fragrance industry called IFRA and they set the standard when it comes to the concertations of ingredients in fragrances and what is safe vs not. Fragrances are not “bad” for you as they are strictly regulated by IFRA. Fragrance brands need to abide to these rules to market their product. It’s a legal requirement to list the allergens on the label that goes on the fragrance. Have a look at IFRA, there’s lots of useful information on there 😊
Also Jus is correct, if something is bad for human wear, they discontinue use of ingredient (reformulated begins?) Or disappear fragrance (the first Opium which my mother still loves is arresting but... discontinued!grrr).

I love your videos and I am always im favor of supporting my favorite UA-camrs but I had such a bad experience buying from Miller Harris. First there was a delay now they don’t have the samples I ordered. Very frustrating.
This was helpful. Was wondering about this brand lately especially after u talked about it a lot. Was not sure though about the brand being mostly feminine or unisex tbh but definitely am willing to put my nose on the tobacco one and the tea one. This is available in India now which is great. This was a descriptive video but not remotely critical enough. So it have us zero idea whether you thought the fragrances worked or liked them enough. I think it may be true but you would need to add to your skin volumes for a negative impact to happen. From what I have read and heard...

Yes you’re right, I just went on the website and saw they don’t ship to the EU at the moment. The best would be to contact customer services. Hopefully by October this is resolved so you can still use the code 🤞🏼
We did turn off our EU shipping late last year as we couldn’t get a service we were happy with for our customers. We’ve been setting up a hub in the EU over past few months and pleased to say we’ll be opening and EU site with Europe wide delivery from the middle of August. Josephine’s code will work on that site as it does on our UK and US site. Thanks again.

This was helpful. Was wondering about this brand lately especially after u talked about it a lot. Was not sure though about the brand being mostly feminine or unisex tbh but definitely am willing to put my nose on the tobacco one and the tea one. This is available in India now which is great. Is your code valid worldwide? great presentation as usual . Love how u used the bottles to create some visual treat for eyes!!! I also love the use of the closeup of you wearing black in the black background where the blacks are all merged...kinda gothic elegance! I know u use that often and it's cool!

Yes totally! Bal d’Afrique is a woody scent whilst peony and blush suede is a velvety floral

This was a descriptive video but not remotely critical enough. So it have us zero idea whether you thought the fragrances worked or liked them enough.
