    2. July 15, 1992. Texas Governor Ann Richards. During the DNC in NYC, when Bill Clinton was nominated for President. Perot would temporarily suspend his campaign the next day.

    I have always adored Molly Ivins and I'm arch conservative !! I have never ever known anyone with a quicker wit than Molly - brilliant, just brilliant !! Her assessments of George W. Bush were always right on the money !! 😀😀😃😃

    Thank you so much for posting these appearances by two irreplaceable women. They were both wonderful at applying George Bernard Shaw's advice of "If you’re going to tell people the truth, be funny or they’ll kill you".

    Living in Texas, these days I never hear about the overwhelming influence she had in Texas growth and influence in the national stage. I think most Texans would vote for someone like her today if provided the option against our current governor.
