Another great Texas gal. Plain spoken and a hoot to boot. I remember when she was talking about George H. W. She said he couldn't help it that he was born with a silver foot in his mouth. He was known for his verbal gaffes.
He, George H. W. Bush , was driven to High School in a Chauffeured Driven Limo , in Connecticut !
I miss Texas.
If Ms. Richards was a conservative, she would've won a second term and likely would've attained national office. Not that she gave that much of a damn. Her charisma was genuine and carried her as far as it did.
She was known as someone very interested in the History of Texas, and knew her subject matter.

I love these comments. I’m sure the ones that sing her praises, think Biden is a good president as well. I remember seeing her stumbling along town lake running trail at 5:30am with her security detail dragging her along trying to sober her drunk arse up for the day. Stumbling and shouting a vocabulary of profanity that would make sailors blush.😢
