    I’m having a blast on this wing behind the boat. We put a little water in the ballast, rpm around 2500, save so much on gas compared to surfing!

    Would like to see the HS1850 behind the jet ski with no rope one day while filming. I'm 160 pounds and currently have a slingshot set up with the 76cm and the 84cm. Just trying to do as much research as I can before investing a lot of money into Armstrong setup. Want to get it right the first time due to the price difference. Thanks for all the reviews. Best ones out there in the foiling game!

    Great video guys! A 1-2 punch of information and entertainment! Thanks! +1 for the request to compare this wing with the CF2400. My goal is to use one of them with a hand wing on ultra light wind days to catch up to boats and steal their wakes. Trying to do the same with a paddle on no wind days is also of interest.

Make most of my gybes; not really tacks yet. Was looking to get a wing in the 1500 range to go with the CF. Between the HS 1550 and the HA1525 which one do you think is better for all aroung winging?

      I suggest this because I’m a 210lb rider surfing this behind an 1984 ski Nautique 2001 with zero ballast at 7mph. It’s benefit of ease of use behind a tiny wake is insane. Carves and pumps crazy easy. Nullifiying the need to behind a 100k wake boat.

    • @HALFLIFEVIDEO
      @HALFLIFEVIDEO  3 роки тому +3

      @@booger808 Hi Andy -- The 1850 will be better in almost all performance categories! That's assuming you're up and going currently - it is an Intermediate + wing. The 2400 is more stable. We've gotten this request and definitely hear you! We just don't carry the wing because most folks who go Armstrong are on their second foil set up so will prefer moving the HS series of foils. That said....we absolutely love the CF1200. I'll reach out to Armstrong to see if we can get our hands on one so we can give you a good read. I will tell you that the 1850 will be much more lively than the 2400.

    How does that 1850 compare to an Infinity 84, which has more surface area?

    • @HALFLIFEVIDEO
      @HALFLIFEVIDEO  4 роки тому +3

      Hi SC - good to hear from you. The 1850 is faster, pumps better, and glides at a higher speed. This is due to the 1850 having more of a high aspect design than the 84cm. The 84cm is more forgiving (except for the upward pressure). Make sense? Surface area is a bit less relevant. But FWIW -- 1850 surface area is 1850cm2. The 84cm surface area is 2066cm.

    What do you recommend fuselage size?
    for Wingfoil free ride :)

    • @HALFLIFEVIDEO
      @HALFLIFEVIDEO  3 роки тому +3

      Hi Ma Sa -- great question.
      For behind the boat:
      Beginner/Intermediate: 60cm fuselage
      Intermediate +: 50cm fuselage
      We like to rotate between the 50cm and 60cm with different wing combinations. Varying it helps you build up your foil skills.
      Wingfoil:
      Beginner/Intermediate: 70cm fuselage combined with CF300 tail wing. Next step would be to go 232cm.
      Intermediate +: really depends upon your style of riding and if you're in waves or not. Having a 60cm as well as a 70cm and rotating in conditions is great. If you're in the surf, you may go 50cm but that's for folks who spend a lot of time on foil.
      Hope this helps. If you'd like to place an order for either or both, we ship globally. Thank you for checking out our video. Hopefully you subscribed and follow us on Instagram @halflifet.5

    • @HALFLIFEVIDEO
      @HALFLIFEVIDEO  3 роки тому +2

      Hey Gray -- how's it going? Hope well. We trade off between the 60cm fuselage and the 50cm. Both work great for pirating. The 50cm fuselage is looser (turns more quickly) and has a little faster pumping cadence. The 50cm works well across the HS lineup of foils.

    How would this be on a dock start?

    • @HALFLIFEVIDEO
      @HALFLIFEVIDEO  Рік тому +2

      It all depends upon your weight and pumping skills. The HS1850 has a slow stall speed and pumps well. Will work great for dock starts for a lot of people. The HA wings are also a good choice if you have a good start skill. High stall speed so you need to be a bit more on it with the HA. If you end up wanting one - we have them in stock.
