Oh my goodness, yu made me a true lover of these vintage distressed risers. Now these will be my next project ❤️❤️❤️ Thank you for sharing ur tips & tricks,. I will be looking for more...
Love your work!! Could you possibly pan out away from your projects more? I appreciate the up close look but would also like to see them from a bit of a distance too. Thanks so much for your inspiration!!
I’ll keep that in mind. :) Sometimes filming is a little tricky, it looks great through the camera but resonates different on the screen. But I appreciate the tip! Thank you 😉
I’m going to try this!! I tried your vintage vessel/planter technique and it was a success!! I absolutely love your channel, and appreciate the detail, simplicity and honest results of your projects. I’ve tried other DIY projects from some other content creators, here on UA-cam and it was a complete flop. Again, love your channel and creativity!!!
Aw, thank you so much! I love to see comments like this from people who actually take the DIY's and try them out for themselves! Not all projects are perfect, but that's how you learn! I appreciate you watching!! 💕
Gosh Valerie, you’ve done it again!! They are so gorgeous. You really have such an amazing talent for producing quality crafts - you must save yourself an absolute fortune. Well done 👏🏻🇬🇧
Hi Val I just stumbled onto your video of the simple antique home decor ideas/ DIY wood risers and I just love them oh my God I love vintage boards. I am definitely a fan of yours now thank you for sharing
I know this is supposed to be a DIY video, but watching this late at night listening to you and the soothing music in the background is so relaxing... Oh, and btw, awesome DIY projects too! Makes me wish I had power tools! 💕
I love these!!!!! You never disappoint!!!!! You are my go to when I need inspiration!!!!!! I have the same taste as you but I have trouble implementing my ideas!!! Thank you for Val style!!!!
Loved' theese.😍 So cute.! I just wish we could also see them from a distance instead of quite cloose,it made it a little harder(at least for me)to see them properly.🙂
Love this idea, you always have the best ideas that are affordable. I think it just feels good when you can create these things yourself and save dollars too 😁💜
Nice Valerie! 👌🏼 I made some of these last year aren’t they just the cutest way to display stuff. I have one in the kitchen ( styled the way you have ) and one that I use either in my guest bath or in my family room for candles etc. They are so versatile!
Love it...did not really know for what I really need a riser...but I love the idea to have one at my sink...thanks for sharing....gotta check out my woodpile this weekend ;)
I love this idea!! I have really weathered wood in my yard which will be perfect!! Got the amber jars for my soap too and looks great!! Thanks for the great video!!💕❤️💕
These turned out great! I’ve been looking at the chapati risers for awhile now but HATE the price point lol. Oh and maybe try adding some Vaseline to the glue nozzle before closing it, that might help 🙂
Oh, my goodness-you make the best stuff!! I wonder how the two stains would look together? Maybe two parts of the weathered oak and one part of the darker color. Sorry, I can’t remember what the name was. But I love what the antique wax did! Please share more of this type diy. 😍
Your design style is tasteful. To unclog a glue cap you can soak them water, it will soften the glue enabling it to pick out then rinse. Hot water will speed this.
Thank you! These would be a GREAT item for craft fairs and small handcrafted shops. You'd have to factor in the cost of materials to make them. (which isn't much considering you'd get several out of minimal materials) I bet these could be sold for $25-$45 at a craft fair type setting and depending on size. All just my opinion of course...
Valerie: If clogged pop off the transparent end cap and you can pull out the dried glue, it’s not sticking to the plastic. If you have finished using the glue do NOT wipe the cap, leave some glue on it and next time you can pop off the dried glue from the top of the cap.
I saw one of the other crafters keep vasoline nearby and put some on the end of nosels and keeps the glue from drying out. But I don't think it was wood glue. But does it matter, I don't know.
You are now my fave!! Love what you did!
Thank you!
I LOVE the DARK WALNUT BEST!!!
Thank you for sharing!!😊🤍🩷
You simply are ... AMAZING! Love watching and learning from you.

Thanks Olia! 😊
I find if I pick out the dried out bit of glue in the nozzle it works again with no problem. I need to do it every time but it’s not difficult. ❤

Isn't that the best? Wood projects are definitley my favorite! Even better when they're free! 😊

Oh cool! I love the idea of having a lot in different colors. Such an easy update around the house 😉
Love it...did not really know for what I really need a riser...but I love the idea to have one at my sink...thanks for sharing....gotta check out my woodpile this weekend ;)
I love the look but couldn’t justify the price 😄 Cute and easy project! 😉
Put a screw into the nozzles,to stop your drying up and just pull it out to use 👍 amazing creative
Gonna have to try that! Thanks!
Love your videos 🥰
Thank you! So glad you like them! Have a great rest of the week! :)
I made a couple of these for my daughters and myself
Amazing! How did the project go for you? 💕
I love this idea!! I have really weathered wood in my yard which will be perfect!! Got the amber jars for my soap too and looks great!! Thanks for the great video!!💕❤️💕
Thanks so much Bonnie! Hope you're doing well, friend! The amber jars are amazing, aren't they!? :)
i love it
Thanks Jennifer!
I seriously….need to hire you to make me a RISER!!!
Please….😊😃😁🥰😜
Whaaaat! I actually made this last week but I used one piece of wood and carved out the legs. This looks much easier 😭😂 So pretty either way!!
Hi Lorraine! Try it out and let me know if it ends up being easier! Either way, I'm sure your piece turned out beautiful as well! 💕
These turned out great! I’ve been looking at the chapati risers for awhile now but HATE the price point lol. Oh and maybe try adding some Vaseline to the glue nozzle before closing it, that might help 🙂
Yes! I know, me too! 😄Will definitely try that next time!! Thanks!

Mixing them might create a unique look! I'll have to try that sometime! More of these types of videos are coming! Keep on the lookout :)
Your design style is tasteful. To unclog a glue cap you can soak them water, it will soften the glue enabling it to pick out then rinse. Hot water will speed this.
Oh wow!! They look amazing!! Out of curiosity, how much would you sale these for IF you were making them for resale? Tfs
Thank you! These would be a GREAT item for craft fairs and small handcrafted shops. You'd have to factor in the cost of materials to make them. Just found you channel! have u ever used a grinder.?Does a great job of putting grooves and hand scraped look on wood.
I have not used one! Thanks so much for the tip, though... I'll have to take a look at doing that on some upcoming projects! 💕
RE nozzle drying: ginger chick keeps a cheap Vaseline with their glues and sticks the nozzle into it after using.works well. Elizabeth
Thanks for the tips Elizabeth!
Hello good video beautiful from CHILE
Hi Carla! Thanks for stopping by! 💕

Another amazing tip! Thanks so much Lynda!
👍👍😍😘😘
💕
If you put a screw in the nozzle, it stops the glue drying up there.
Genius! Thanks for the tip!
What are the names of the stains ?
Weathered Oak and Dark Walnut. I used the Weathered oak for both and the Behr Wax (Dark Antique color) over the top. 🙂
@@ValerieAguiar thank you !
Great job👏u are so brave using a power tool.I would kill my self i wouldn't even attempt trying im so clumsy .
Haha, they're not as bad as they look! You get the hang of it after a while! :)
