I love Roger. Don’t get me wrong. But, he wasn’t always this charming and gracious. I remember a time when he used to yell, curse and smash rackets the way that Novak does. The only one of the top 3 who has always remained a decent, courteous, charming and gracious is Rafa.

He’s not Tsitsitpas, Medvedev, or Kyrgios. Serena smashed her rackets too but I think most spectators love to know athletes emotions to fully convict themselves rather than being overtly reserved

Trevor really needed to tone it down - a lot! Normally, an excellent interviewer, he allowed his enthusiasm to get away from him to the point of undermining Roger by asking over-long questions, interruptions and needlessly aggrandizing Roger, not just Roger's career, but his character. I found the interview annoying; too much Trevor, not enough Roger.

As im from Switzerland, and as a Roger Fan. The matches between him and Rafa were always so great. I really like that Tennis had such great Player as Player and Humans.
Roger is such a humble guy and that just makes him loved by many fans. Once he came to a restaurant where I work - during covid where we all have to show our certificate and ID to be checked in. There was a girl who was checking ID and we were all wearing a mask. She asked him for his ID which he forgot in the car even though he was recognised by many employees due to the fact that he is our regular guests. He actually went back to get his ID and once the girl noticed him she was so embarrassed and apologised many times but Roger was just a man and he acted like one. SO MUCH RESPECT for him!
When Federer's last match was just done, the commentator spoke all of the fans' hearts by saying, "He did not invent the game but at times it felt as if he had." Thank you Roger and Trevor for such an amazing interview! ❤️❤️❤️

Fed was the very first athlete I was able to recognize and look up to as a kid. I admired his grace and humbleness both on and off the court. As successful and great as he was (and still is) he has never been disrespectful. He is truly the GOAT
I've had the great fortune of meeting Roger Federer twice and I can tell you he's every bit as genuine, humble and affable when conversing with a single stranger as he is on camera with millions watching - he's real. And for nearly 300 weeks - covering 2004-2009 and most of 2017 - he played a level of tennis no one else has matched. Rafa and Novak are breaking his records in their way - and it is great to see how happy Roger is for them (as we all should be) - but even they will tell you: Federer's peak tennis was like no one else.

I was lucky enough to be at the Laver Cup for that last match playing doubles with Nadal. I flew 8,000 miles to London just for this, and it was worth it. Everyone was crying and it was so emotional and bittersweet. I've been a fan of Roger's for so many years and so much of my life has been watching his matches. There will never be another tennis player who is so beloved for all he is and does.
I once saw Sampras playing serve volley game, thinking it could not be matched by anyone. A year or so later up comes this young man, playing the most beautifull game of tennis, with wich he has graced us all in astonishement, jaw dropping style of play. Federer the GOAT of tennis!!!
So lucky to have seen Roger play three times. And that he was generous to give us a very special signed photo to my mom (one of his biggest fans). Watching him play literally helped my mom cope with the passing of my father, and gave us so many special family moments together. I will never forget the look of sheer joy on her face when she actually got to see him play in person. Thank you Roger. And thank you Noah!
Roger getting chocked up while talking about asking Rafa to play dubs with him is so amazing. I think I big a reason why fans adore Roger isn’t so much about his records or even his game. It’s the emotions he showed whether he won or lost without pride. He’d cry when he won, he’d cry when he lost without any shame. He was the epitome of a sport that, just like any other, is full of hyper masculinity. Being tough and self assured is the standard. He would be vulnerable in the eyes of millions and not for a minute care about his image as a man. And that endeared him to so many and not once did anyone think less of him as a male athlete. I think every male athlete should look to him as an example of a peRFect competitor.
Very well said! I think one of the reasons his fans love Federer so much is his lack of ego. A lot of his detractors see his surface-level elegance and manners and label him as stuck up; but he's so much more than the impression people first see. I think Federer, for all his class and style, is a genuine person who cares less about how he looks and more about who he is, the difference he can make, what he can achieve and how his actions effect others. He actually has a great sense of humour and isn't afraid to look a little silly at times; he expresses what he feels as he feels it, is diplomatic and polite because he wants to be no because it suits his image, makes an effort to give back to charity and express his gratitude to his fans when no one would blame him for skipping those things so he can spend all his time soaking up his success. All the things we admire about him - the grace, humility, generosity - are not a carefully created persona, but just the biproducts of him being intrinsically who he is - or at least the best version of himself he can be, which is what he always gives to his fans, everyone on the tennis tour, and even his rivals.

I have the feeling those two records will mean more to Federer than any others in his career! Still, he also apparently holds records for most Grand Slam semi-finals (46) and quarter-finals (58). Not bad for a player whose only accolade for the first 5 years of his pro career was 'most talented player to not have a GS' and was already thrilled with his career achievements after winning just one Wimbledon ;P

Classiest athlete ever and there will never be another Roger Federer in tennis. If he was on you had to watch, because he made the sport both incredibly athletic and beautiful at the same time. He's beloved because of his humility and self-awareness.
They never pushed him he was completely self driven and in his youth when he behaved badly they would not have thought twice about taking him out of the game - they always valued decency over winning - yep he had great parents

As a single mother in rural newengland and a lifelong tennis nut, i cant ever thank roger enough for helping me to raise such a wonderful human being b the ultimate exampleof someone so classy yet genuine, and down to earth, so wholesomeI , respectful but a fierce competitor , I taught my son to play- kept it fun and eventually we were driving all over new england to tournaments every weekend. Having roger as a role model( my son was born in 1997) was priceless and he is who he is today in no small part because of the impact of roger in our lives. Driving home from a tournament after a painful loss, i always had a tidbit or story a bout roger to tell him and learn from this exemplary human and athlete. Many people do not know for example that roger,s equanimity is an achievement- as a teen he was crying and throwing his racket with the “ best” of them but he found a way to cope with and learn from failure and disappointment and beyond that to enjoy every aspect of his life, such a truly joyous, happy hardworking and considerate human being and he was in this way so important to us as a role model; an athlete who actually deserved that title unlike many others who are excelling on the field only . Then in 2008 along came Obama the other great public figure who we were so grateful to have in our lives for his grace and humanity but thank you roger for the ecstasy of watching you play that we were so privileged to enjoy for too few years ( never enough!,!)and for your humanity, we owe you so much, cant imagine what our lives, rich as they are, would have been without you.
All ok until you mentioned Obama which is nothing like Federer. Obama is a politician who just cashed in millions by being one and not making a difference for humanity.
What you said of your son that he is who he is today in no small part because of the impact of Roger in your lives, that's me too. I'm around your son's age and I can definitely say that Roger Federer raised me almost as much as my closest family members did. The emotion, the humility, the drive to chase your dreams, the gratitude, the kindness, the intelligence, the thinking of others in every situation and then also never losing the childlike joy and the fun in this life, is just a small trickle of lessons we can all learn from this man. For someone growing up during the times of Roger Federer's prime and post-prime years, I can confidently say I could have never had a better celebrity role model to shape and influence my personality throughout my childhood and adolescent years. I love him, I thank him, and I admire him immensely.

Humility...i mean everything Roger says from the word go, is just oozing of this quality. Such simplicity. Enjoying the moment, enjoying the game is another beautiful quality he talks of. Real sportsmen have these qualities i guess, you become larger than life.
He is the biggest inspiration for me, I've been supporting/watching him since Wimbledon 2001 when he beat Sampras. I have lived and died every match ever since, I have loved Roger for 20 plus years. I wish him and his lovely family all the love and best in this world. #RForever

I've been a fan of Roger for over 20 years! Watched him lift every single one of his 20 grand slam trophies, and I was always left in awe of his talent and grace! I visited Switzerland last year and the country is just as perfect as Roger is :-) Tennis will never be the same without Roger Federer!
The story of him not wanting to brag about his records to get into the Wimbledon compound just resonates with me so much. When I was in my 20s I used to work for the son of a Billionaire, and the family had businesses and schools all across the UK. Once we were entering one of their family schools and the receptionist asked politely who we were (in order to get through the entrance) and without a hesitation, my boss said "I'm Michael A*******, my name is on the building". And although it was on the hand, slightly comical, I remember the receptionist was very put off for his brashness. A lit of humbleness goes a long way in life.
Pure class. Somehow forgot to check on him for a long time since his retirement but every appearance is just so well planned and delivered. The guy's a natural.

I am 70 years old and this is the guy I followed religiously during the last 20 years. I can't tell I am the number 1 fan of Roger because there are maybe thousands that are "worse" than me" , but I I will be quite close. In terms of his incredible abilities and skills, legendary records, inspirational positive attitude, personality, professionalism, and his on and off court behaviour, Roger is surely the greatest sports professional personality of all time!

There will never be another Federer in tennis. He was and will always be one of the greatest ambassadors for the sport. He had an aura about him on court and made the sport look way too easy for all of us watching at home-that was until we stepped on court for ourselves and tried to swing at a few! I was definitely a victim of the Fed effect!
He is still the same man from 2003, when I first watched him, until today that he's already retired. I hope he do more interviews in the future. Always the funny guy and great legend of Tennis. Love this!
He is by no small measure, at least in my eyes, the Greatest. I watched tennis only because of him and the Williams sisters, and I fell in love with his style of playing, especially that wicked cool backhand. Doesn't matter if he doesn't have the most slams. His impact matters to me more.
Yeah impact. Anna Kournikova inspired a whole generation of female tennis players despite never won a single title. That's certainly the legacy Federer carries in men's tennis. A loser loved by many.
Loved watching this man ever since 1998 when he played on grass for the first time at my home club here in the UK. Fast forward to 2022 balling my eyes out in London watching him for the final time was so intense. Forever my inspiration and idol. If you ever got to watch him play live there was always this weird energy in the stadium you could feel all eyes were on him, fans were waiting for the moment he would create a bit of magic and win or lose he'd always deliver.

My only wish is that their ages had been reversed. Novak 41 and Roger 35. No malice towards Novak bc I think he's a brilliant player and will overtake Roger in Grand Slams (well, he already has) but Roger has been such an incredible ambassador for tennis. The best ever. It would've been amazing for tennis to finish with someone like him bc there never will be another Big3 like Roger, Rafa and Novak. Technology has changed tennis and distracts young player's focus and attention to the point where 3 future players of the same era will never win 20+ Grand Slams ever again. IMHO.
I adore Roger Federer! I've been watching him since when I was 7 years old. One of my greatest fulfillment in life was flying to London to watch you play your last match at Laver Cup 2022. It was a surreal moment, and thank you for the class act of sportsmanship you portrayed for over 2 decades. There'll be no one like Roger, Ever!
The first time I saw Roger play was against Sampras at Wimbledon when Roger won as a teenager (the only time those two icons played each other). Over the many years since then I’ve seen him play more times than I can count and, even though there are numerous YT videos of Roger’s matches, the way Roger played still has me wanting to see more of his genius. For me, it wasn’t whether Roger won or lost or how many titles or records he held, but rather, it was the beautiful elegance and seemingly effortless way he played the game that was like literally watching poetry in motion. I had never before seen anybody play tennis like Roger and I have not seen anybody play like Roger since and I may not ever see another player play with the beauty and elegance that Roger put forth on a tennis court. Watching Roger play was like the feeling I get viewing a masterpiece of art at the Met, as Roger’s game was pure artistry in motion. Rafa & Novak may have won more Grand Slam titles and there will probably be future champions who also win more Slams, but there is nobody who has ever played with the beauty & artistry as Roger has played. Whether or not Roger is better than any player now or in the past is wholly itrelevant and highly subjective at best, as I simply marvel at the artistry of Roger’s game, which is a game I have never seen outside of Roger’s artistry. I am simply extremely fortunate to have been able to witness the beauty of Roger’s game over the entire span of his career. Thank You, Roger, for giving the gift of your beautiful game.
What Roger accomplished and how he did it mark him forever as a best ever tennis player, and there is no shortage of great players in tennis history. Watching Federer play brings the realization that his attacking style, always forward moving, his shot-making, all the ball-handling skills and the footspeed, coupled with a preternatural sense of the court's geometry depicts him as a champion like no other. He is a marker for what the best in tennis can be.
Love this man! Legend on and off the courts! I am so happy that my father was alive to see Fed (his favorite athlete of all time) win every one of his Slams. Fed was our favorite topic to chat about and some of the greatest memories of my father and I were watching his matches. My late dad would have also loved this interview. The short answer is he is not that humble!! You just can't see it on his face, thats all. And that is understandable. when you are successful, you cannot be too humble. It would be false modesty. That story about not being able to go into wimbledon, I am sure that made him a little angry. It is expected. He has worked hard to be where he is. This would be true of Rafa or Djoker too.

Not a day goes by that I don't watch some old match of Roger's. I can happily watch him everyday. Lifts my mood. This interview with Trevor was one of the best. You can't help laughing along with Roger. He's that kind of a guy.
I had the fortune to attend a final at Miami between Roger and Rafa . 5 sets Roger was down 2 sets and then Roger was Roger. Will never forget that day, that game and the GOAT and the Goat.

It's pretty cool that they have the same lineage, 1/2 South African and 1/2 Swiss. Federer's backhand is so ballet-like. I loved watching him play. So happy for him and Mirka. And, of course, for the kids.
I've never been a die-hard tennis fan but I did stay up to watch to Australian Open matches of this gentleman and I'm from Uruguay, we're like 14 hours earlier than Australia. The world of sports is a bet sadder without him.
He's basically interviewing his favorite people that somehow have a topical reason to be there, but I agree it's fantastic. Honestly, I hope Netflix convinces him to do an interview show or something like what Letterman did (does? I don't know if it's still going but even if he takes over when Letterman's done)

I flew on a Thurday evening from U.S., arrive in London the next morning, went directly to O2, saw Him one playing one more time at Laver Cup and flew back home. I still believe it was dream. You impacted our lives tremendously, I owe you the great college tennis experience of my son and so many wonderful memories watching you practicing and playing in Cincy, every year from 2006. There were times you were practicing early morning, there was nobody else there, I closed my eyes just to listen how you were dancing on the clouds. Thank you Roger, you've been amazing all these years, you will always be.

I've had the great fortune of meeting Roger Federer twice and I can tell you he's every bit as genuine, humble and affable when conversing with a single stranger as he is on camera with millions watching - he's real. And for nearly 300 weeks - covering 2004-2009 and most of 2017 - he played a level of tennis no one else has matched. Rafa and Novak are breaking his records in their way - and it is great to see how happy Roger is for them (as we all should be) - but even they will tell you: Federer's peak tennis was like no one else.

I was lucky enough to be at the Laver Cup for that last match playing doubles with Nadal. I flew 8,000 miles to London just for this, and it was worth it. Everyone was crying and it was so emotional and bittersweet. I've been a fan of Roger's for so many years and so much of my life has been watching his matches. There will never be another tennis player who is so beloved for all he is and does.

I once saw Sampras playing serve volley game, thinking it could not be matched by anyone. A year or so later up comes this young man, playing the most beautifull game of tennis, with wich he has graced us all in astonishement, jaw dropping style of play. Federer the GOAT of tennis!!!
So lucky to have seen Roger play three times. And that he was generous to give us a very special signed photo to my mom (one of his biggest fans). Watching him play literally helped my mom cope with the passing of my father, and gave us so many special family moments together. I will never forget the look of sheer joy on her face when she actually got to see him play in person. Thank you Roger. And thank you Noah!

Roger getting chocked up while talking about asking Rafa to play dubs with him is so amazing. I think I big a reason why fans adore Roger isn’t so much about his records or even his game. It’s the emotions he showed whether he won or lost without pride. He’d cry when he won, he’d cry when he lost without any shame. He was the epitome of a sport that, just like any other, is full of hyper masculinity. Being tough and self assured is the standard. He would be vulnerable in the eyes of millions and not for a minute care about his image as a man. And that endeared him to so many and not once did anyone think less of him as a male athlete. I think every male athlete should look to him as an example of a peRFect competitor.

I think one of the reasons his fans love Federer so much is his lack of ego. A lot of his detractors see his surface-level elegance and manners and label him as stuck up; but he's so much more than the impression people first see. I think Federer, for all his class and style, is a genuine person who cares less about how he looks and more about who he is, the difference he can make, what he can achieve and how his actions effect others. He actually has a great sense of humour and isn't afraid to look a little silly at times; he expresses what he feels as he feels it, is diplomatic and polite because he wants to be no because it suits his image, makes an effort to give back to charity and express his gratitude to his fans when no one would blame him for skipping those things so he can spend all his time soaking up his success. All the things we admire about him - the grace, humility, generosity - are not a carefully created persona, but just the biproducts of him being intrinsically who he is - or at least the best version of himself he can be, which is what he always gives to his fans, everyone on the tennis tour, and even his rivals.

As a single mother in rural newengland and a lifelong tennis nut, i cant ever thank roger enough for helping me to raise such a wonderful human being b the ultimate exampleof someone so classy yet genuine, and down to earth, so wholesomeI , respectful but a fierce competitor , I taught my son to play- kept it fun and eventually we were driving all over new england to tournaments every weekend. Having roger as a role model( my son was born in 1997) was priceless and he is who he is today in no small part because of the impact of roger in our lives. Driving home from a tournament after a painful loss, i always had a tidbit or story a bout roger to tell him and learn from this exemplary human and athlete. Many people do not know for example that roger,s equanimity is an achievement- as a teen he was crying and throwing his racket with the “ best” of them but he found a way to cope with and learn from failure and disappointment and beyond that to enjoy every aspect of his life, such a truly joyous, happy hardworking and considerate human being and he was in this way so important to us as a role model; an athlete who actually deserved that title unlike many others who are excelling on the field only . Then in 2008 along came Obama the other great public figure who we were so grateful to have in our lives for his grace and humanity but thank you roger for the ecstasy of watching you play that we were so privileged to enjoy for too few years ( never enough!,!)and for your humanity, we owe you so much, cant imagine what our lives, rich as they are, would have been without you.

I'm around your son's age and I can definitely say that Roger Federer raised me almost as much as my closest family members did. The emotion, the humility, the drive to chase your dreams, the gratitude, the kindness, the intelligence, the thinking of others in every situation and then also never losing the childlike joy and the fun in this life, is just a small trickle of lessons we can all learn from this man. For someone growing up during the times of Roger Federer's prime and post-prime years, I can confidently say I could have never had a better celebrity role model to shape and influence my personality throughout my childhood and adolescent years. I love him, I thank him, and I admire him immensely.

The story of him not wanting to brag about his records to get into the Wimbledon compound just resonates with me so much. When I was in my 20s I used to work for the son of a Billionaire, and the family had businesses and schools all across the UK. Once we were entering one of their family schools and the receptionist asked politely who we were (in order to get through the entrance) and without a hesitation, my boss said "I'm Michael A*******, my name is on the building". And although it was on the hand, slightly comical, I remember the receptionist was very put off for his brashness. A lit of humbleness goes a long way in life.
Pure class. Somehow forgot to check on him for a long time since his retirement but every appearance is just so well planned and delivered. The guy's a natural.

I was writing some words, but why repeat what millions think and said about this extraordinary athlete and human being. I am 70 years old and this is the guy I followed religiously during the last 20 years. I can't tell I am the number 1 fan of Roger because there are maybe thousands that are "worse" than me" , but I I will be quite close. Thks Roger and thks to Trevor to show us its greatness in simple words.
In terms of his incredible abilities and skills, legendary records, inspirational positive attitude, personality, professionalism, and his on and off court behaviour, Roger is surely the greatest sports professional personality of all time!
I can watch these guys speak for hours...When panel discussions can last for hours why are these interviews too short...Too short to capture even a glimpse of greatness of this man...
There will never be another Federer in tennis. He was and will always be one of the greatest ambassadors for the sport. He had an aura about him on court and made the sport look way too easy for all of us watching at home-that was until we stepped on court for ourselves and tried to swing at a few! I was definitely a victim of the Fed effect!

Loved watching this man ever since 1998 when he played on grass for the first time at my home club here in the UK. Fast forward to 2022 balling my eyes out in London watching him for the final time was so intense. Forever my inspiration and idol. If you ever got to watch him play live there was always this weird energy in the stadium you could feel all eyes were on him, fans were waiting for the moment he would create a bit of magic and win or lose he'd always deliver.

I don't even watch tennis much, but I remember I was supposed to be packing for a trip and got caught up in watching that epic match between him and Rafa that just went on forever
My only wish is that their ages had been reversed. Novak 41 and Roger 35. No malice towards Novak bc I think he's a brilliant player and will overtake Roger in Grand Slams (well, he already has) but Roger has been such an incredible ambassador for tennis. The best ever. It would've been amazing for tennis to finish with someone like him bc there never will be another Big3 like Roger, Rafa and Novak. Technology has changed tennis and distracts young player's focus and attention to the point where 3 future players of the same era will never win 20+ Grand Slams ever again. IMHO.

I adore Roger Federer! I've been watching him since when I was 7 years old. One of my greatest fulfillment in life was flying to London to watch you play your last match at Laver Cup 2022. It was a surreal moment, and thank you for the class act of sportsmanship you portrayed for over 2 decades. There'll be no one like Roger, Ever!
He was my inspiration in my late 20s, I almost gave up on tennis last year but now am getting a coaching license.
The first time I saw Roger play was against Sampras at Wimbledon when Roger won as a teenager (the only time those two icons played each other). Over the many years since then I’ve seen him play more times than I can count and, even though there are numerous YT videos of Roger’s matches, the way Roger played still has me wanting to see more of his genius. For me, it wasn’t whether Roger won or lost or how many titles or records he held, but rather, it was the beautiful elegance and seemingly effortless way he played the game that was like literally watching poetry in motion. I had never before seen anybody play tennis like Roger and I have not seen anybody play like Roger since and I may not ever see another player play with the beauty and elegance that Roger put forth on a tennis court. Watching Roger play was like the feeling I get viewing a masterpiece of art at the Met, as Roger’s game was pure artistry in motion. Rafa & Novak may have won more Grand Slam titles and there will probably be future champions who also win more Slams, but there is nobody who has ever played with the beauty & artistry as Roger has played. Whether or not Roger is better than any player now or in the past is wholly itrelevant and highly subjective at best, as I simply marvel at the artistry of Roger’s game, which is a game I have never seen outside of Roger’s artistry. I am simply extremely fortunate to have been able to witness the beauty of Roger’s game over the entire span of his career. Thank You, Roger, for giving the gift of your beautiful game.

What Roger accomplished and how he did it mark him forever as a best ever tennis player, and there is no shortage of great players in tennis history. Watching Federer play brings the realization that his attacking style, always forward moving, his shot-making, all the ball-handling skills and the footspeed, coupled with a preternatural sense of the court's geometry depicts him as a champion like no other. He is a marker for what the best in tennis can be.
Love this man! Legend on and off the courts! I am so happy that my father was alive to see Fed (his favorite athlete of all time) win every one of his Slams. Fed was our favorite topic to chat about and some of the greatest memories of my father and I were watching his matches. My late dad would have also loved this interview. The short answer is he is not that humble!! You just can't see it on his face, thats all. And that is understandable. when you are successful, you cannot be too humble. It would be false modesty. That story about not being able to go into wimbledon, I am sure that made him a little angry. It is expected. He has worked hard to be where he is. This would be true of Rafa or Djoker too.
Because he has such a great sense of humour and self awareness - unusual in many highly successful people.

Not a day goes by that I don't watch some old match of Roger's. I can happily watch him everyday. Lifts my mood. This interview with Trevor was one of the best. You can't help laughing along with Roger. He's that kind of a guy.
I had the fortune to attend a final at Miami between Roger and Rafa . 5 sets Roger was down 2 sets and then Roger was Roger. Will never forget that day, that game and the GOAT and the Goat.

It's pretty cool that they have the same lineage, 1/2 South African and 1/2 Swiss. Federer's backhand is so ballet-like. I loved watching him play. So happy for him and Mirka. And, of course, for the kids.
I've never been a die-hard tennis fan but I did stay up to watch to Australian Open matches of this gentleman and I'm from Uruguay, we're like 14 hours earlier than Australia. The world of sports is a bet sadder without him.

Honestly, I hope Netflix convinces him to do an interview show or something like what Letterman did (does? I don't know if it's still going but even if he takes over when Letterman's done)

Roger and Rafa made each other great, and then Novak entered the scene. They all added to the sport going next level athletically and competetively.

And timing is so important. What if Rafa was born five years later, or wasn’t around at all… RF would have had close to 30 grand slams and no one would have challenged his record.

I flew on a Thurday evening from U.S., arrive in London the next morning, went directly to O2, saw Him one playing one more time at Laver Cup and flew back home. I still believe it was dream. You impacted our lives tremendously, I owe you the great college tennis experience of my son and so many wonderful memories watching you practicing and playing in Cincy, every year from 2006. There were times you were practicing early morning, there was nobody else there, I closed my eyes just to listen how you were dancing on the clouds. Thank you Roger, you've been amazing all these years, you will always be.
Did you get tiks before he announced his retirement? I was thinking about doing the same thing but figured even getting a ticket off a scalper would have been impossble.
