Maryborough is a beautiful city located in the state of Queensland. The city is home to a variety of attractions, including the Maryborough Heritage Centre, which is a must-see for any history buff.

Matilda is at the Kybong travel stop just south of Gympie which is on the way to Maryborough home of the author of Mary Poppins. Gympie and Maryborough are two of the early settlements outside Brisbane the state capital AKA Morten Bay penal colony.
Miltilda was the mascot of the Brisbane Commonwealth Games back in the eighties. The name comes from our national song ‘waltzing Matilda’.

How did YT know I lived there? Place is a hole but people do try. Across the road from the village people on Queen St is the Lamington Hotel. There may still be cockatoos in a big cage at the drive through exit. You would stop in your car and have a chat with them. The birds spoke perfect Aussie and even gave you directions where to go.
I looked all over, but the birds didn't talk to me lol.
Nothing like the original Maryborough in the Central goldfields of Victoria, we are a happy go ahead get it done town.
I might come out there and film as it gets a bit warmer.
Please please tell me that this was filmed on a Sunday. That town was so dead, those 2 lovely young ladies must be the best things to come out of Maryborough. Respect to the guy filming acknowledging other peoples turf.

@@gmac2068 At the moment, Matilda is just past Gympie northbound. In my 11 years living in Australia, I remember it being in Tweed Heads at one point.
