Maryborough Qld has some of the best and most authentic Queenslanders in the state I think. For a average sized town, It has a huge concentration of Amazing Queenslander homes.
Hi Martin, enjoyed the video. I have been living in Maryborough since 1999, having escaped the recession in Victoria back then for sunny Qld. Maryborough is a bit of a sleepy, daggy town, however the people are nice and it is a cheap place to live. I think the slow population growth holds it back, most want to live at the coast. If you want a bit more excitement then Hervey Bay is only 30 mins away and Brisbane is 3 hr drive, OK for a weekend trip. Yes it has not changed much in 10-15 years. There are a few small areas of more modern brick homes where prices are more like 300-400k, with rents 320-350/week, still more affordable than Hervey Bay. An interesting comparison may be to look at Hervey Bay, quite a different environment, only 45kms away. Keep up the good work, one of the most balanced and informative channels on UA-cam, Thanks.
The reason Queenslanders were put on stumps was to get the house away from termites. The flood claim and ventilation are a secondary advantage that most people wrongly confuse....
Can you do a council rate to value comparison because even though the price looks good but the time you pay rates you are actually going backwards thank martin
What would you say if someone paid this bloke $275 to compile this report and within hours it was made available world wide for free? I am the bloke that paid for this info hours before it was made public for free and I say - very very bad form - to say the very least. Not good enough as far as I am concerned. I am interested to hear what others would think if they paid $275 for this and it was on this channel in hours.
Actually, I never received payment and only the basic analysis I did is on the YT version. You got all my other insights and the day or so I spent researching at short notice.
@@WalkTheWorldDFA Martin, I've sent a fourth email now with proof of payment. You are making false accusations regarding the receipt of payment. Should I phone paypal again and ask for a fifth piece of evidence to send you? You attended the meeting, didn't y0ou? I have reviewed the meeting content and your video. They are virtually identical. I have shown this to a few people and they all responded the same way - extremely poor form. You were paid, you attended the meeting and the next day the information I paid $275 for is here free of charge - all of it. That is disgraceful. I am claiming the refund from Paypal. They claim to have contacted you. Should I send you some evidence of their claim to have contacted you?
Looks like $100-$200k knocked off some of the prices in flood zones. Most of the houses for sale are in flood zones. How people manage to sell them and why people would buy them is beyond me, wouldn't touch them with a barge pole.

Queenslanders are also on stills for airflow.
And snakes
Thanks Martin.
Thanks for showcasing Maryborough Martin 😉🙏
Any time!
Thank you Marty 🕯
You need to understand it’s relationship with the nearby Hervey Bay - same Council where Council is focusing the growth.
Great video! Gladstone (4680) would be very interesting to hear about. There is a large industry base and deep water port.
Nice video!!
I'd be on the lookout for flood damage and checking the flood plains. There has been some heavy falls up that way in recent years.
Exactly!

I agree, multiple reasons... termites are a major pest...
Checkout up the highway at Childers - I recon the rental yield would be even higher👍

Hi Guys, I think the post code is 4650. That's my home town

Regional areas in Qld are of interest.

215 Cheapside Street seemed destined to be in a bad neighbourhood, but it wasn't the cheapest.
i was about to buy a commercial real estate there on 2018. I am glad I pulled out at the last time. It would have been a hugh lemon.
the property or the area of Maryborough,

Yes flooding is a big deal...
@@WalkTheWorldDFA surely though, only if the water gets above the floorboards, Does it dot that in Maryborough?
Quick. Sell to all those Victorians escaping the state before they notice 😊
The age democratic for these country town points to a drop in population, and weak local Economies
Part of safe national party federal seat. The nats gave 28 million to Noia ammunition to maybe create some jobs and 1.2 million to timber mill
Does anybody see the duplicity of Scumo swanning off on a jolly to the U.K.?
What has this to do with the subject in hand, mainly Maryborough?
Mary Poppins was born there
