I lived in Bridge City for 40 years. It was a nice place to live and a good place to raise children. I left in 2018 Got tired of the Taxes and insurance going up plus the constant flooding. Hurricane Ike put 6 feet of water in my house and Harvey put 6 inches of water in my house. That last storm made me realize how old I was. We sold off our house and rent property and moved to the middle of Delaware where my taxes and insurance are one-tenth of what I was paying in Texas.
Worked at Dupont until 2003 when they sold us to Invista. Still here through the sale of Adipic and was moved to ADN area. Here during the announcement that Invista was closing its doors here at SRW in October of last year. I've made this trip for 34 years to my home in Port Arthur, and have seen it ALL along the way! 9 months and counting Lord!
Worked at Dupont SRW in Orange TX until 2003 when they sold us to Invista. Still here through the sale of Adipic Acid Unit and was moved to ADN process unit area. Here during the announcement that Invista was closing its doors here at SRW in October of last year. I've made this trip for 34 years to my home in Port Arthur, and have seen it ALL along the way making my turn off of Hwy 87 (Gulfway drive) at the 14:10 mark to go home. 9 months and counting if YOU say the same Lord!
