Thank You from me in Manchester England. I just love the LA Metro . Have ridden every line . 2 Years since I was able to visit, when I stayed in the Queen Mary at Long Beach and every day took the Blue Line to Compton then the Shuttle Bus to 7th and Flower. What an experience ! Back this September staying in Pasadena on the Gold Line. The Garden at the Fabulous Union Station is a great place for lunch. Looking forward to the new line Slauson and Crenshaw.
My dad and grandparents immigrated here from England in 1962 and took the Queen Mary to New York. 5 years later it ended up 6 miles from their new home in Downey, CA.
Cool video. I'm visiting LA from England next week and I don't really want to have to hire a car. Looks like I won't have to if this video is anything to go by. Could maybe do with a bicycle though lol
Don't hire a car. If you have never been before take the Fly Away bus to Union Station, buy a Metro Tap Card , rest in the garden to get your bearings and then use the Metro, Bus, Dash, Taxi or Walk to your destination.
@@robertcroft8241 awesome, thanks for the tip. I'm staying in Santa Monica near the metro station and I've heard its pretty walkable anyway. Just hope it's OK for getting to other parts of the city
It used to have the biggest trolley system in the world until the 1930's when the automotive industry bought out the politicians. The current subway system is still growing however and of course with the most extensive highway system in the world, most people don't need any of it.
Flyaway (also run by Metro) is much, much easier. Picks up at arrivals at each terminal every 30 min. You ride in a clean, modern coach. It’s $10 and they accept Tap cards.
This was my 3rd vid taken from a long ride loop that day so I was more interested in getting home tired. I'll think about a long-form ride in the future. I appreciate the suggestion.
I live in Los Angeles 9downtown) and will NEVER take the rail from/to LAX or downtown because of what's rightfully called 'Homeless Trash' aka the homeless 'people as clearly shown at 4:07 for example, who live on the rail and bus system but instead the FlyAway bus service as Homeless Trash, and others, are not allowed onboard without buying a ticket
@ truthteller8459: This problem of homelessness is rampant all over the entire World in the transit systems. Crime overly rising all over the World because of COVID-19 not ever ending and there's no hope at all !!!
Nice tour of the city on your ride. It’s beautiful scenery along the way. I really enjoyed it.👍😊🇨🇦

You can take the FlyAway bus directly from every terminal to union station. It's about $10. Look into it if that's your end goal.
I❤️ the Green Line!
Nice Video Of LA Metro Ride.
Nice video.
The Blue Line /A now is supposed to be a lot faster now. New and improved.

Metro should install noise barriers on those platforms. Would make the experience much more bearable. Anyway, cool video :]👍
Tbh way better to take the green line (C) to the silver line (J) so much faster and safer, enjoyable etc
You're most certainly right, but I had a 60 pound scooter and the light rail is a lot easier for that. Funny how the BRT is faster than the train tho.
You would think that a city as large as LA would have a bigger Rapid Transit system than just light rail.

That’s exactly what happened! My grandma told me all about it and what a shame.
LA has better transit than like Miami or Houston, but not as good as like Chicago, or New York, or San Fransico
The people who use it make it unusable
Chicago has the worst transit, their rail cars are from the 80s. Btw chicago is not as wide open as l.a

I ride the metro green line every day it's faster in the afternoons
Looks like it has been edited as it looks too clean to be true.
Wow, is the information in the L.A. metro duplicated in Mexican?
Many are, like at union station it says what the different connections are. The "the next stop is.." ones aren't in Spanish.

Why chop the video up? why didn’t you keep the whole video in real time so that we can see all the stops and not just certain stops?

Do it on your own risk no security homeless own the trains smoking is very common filthy trains flyaway is 100 times better
I hope in the train to find a girlfriend
