    Are those "standard philips head" screws or JIS screws? You can " screw" them up with the wrong screwdriver.

      The ones that hold the cover on are standard Phillips head screws

    The clutch spring is on wrong and that is why it is not working properly. Look it up on parts diagram and shows you the proper way. Plus that spring has marking saying up.

      You have to remove the spring that keeps the self propel belt tight it is near the rear of the mower next to where the pulley sits in the rear

    Is there a way to permanently delete it . And not have the lever up top

    • @thehelpfulchannel5
      @thehelpfulchannel5  5 місяців тому +1

      What lever? The one for the blade clutch? It is a safety feature required by law on all mowers. And removing it can be a safety hazard

    FYI at the 5 minute 44 second point in the video you make a mistake and put the clutch spring in upside down. Be aware it doesn’t work very well when it’s an upside down.

    Should of put some grease on shaft to prevent it from getting frozen on.

      Ive heard of an Interesting mix of automatic transmission fluid and acetone idk if it will work better than store bought but its definitely worth a try. The mix is 50/50

    Order a new bearing for the plate you replaced and replace it. You will have a spare plate.

      I have been trying to replace that bearing on my HRR2169VYA mower. The difficulty is removing the outer part of the original ball bearing. It seems to be push fitted and so far impossible to remove. Is there a video with suggestions about removal of the original bearing? Thanks.

      @donalburns6548 if i remember correctly i either used the end of the screwdriver and a hammer or a chisel and hammer to remove it. Yes it might take a bit of force

      @@donalburns6548put some oil on it and use punch to tap on it by alternating sides to tap it out. Screwdriver could score the bore. Just take your time.

    You have the clutch spring UPSIDE-DOWN !!! That is why there are scrape marks on the driven disk. Better check your work.

    This procedure is incorrect. This will cause premature wear! Exploded parts diagrams are readily available. Print a copy or have your phone/tablet with you. Servicing the blade clutch system is fairly easy.....im not sure how this guy managed to mess it up 😂
