Lois is actually to blame for Larry's downward spiral. She learns of his villainy and keeps it to herself, not even telling HIS FATHER. She allows thing to escalate, resulting in Lex's death. The mistake was Luthor marrying Lois.
This story is so insane, it's practically a work of genius. Nice to know that approximately 20 years of happy marriage means absolutely nothing to Lois!
Wow...she jumped off a cliff? Lmao, I love the comics of this era. It's all so random. Thank you Sasha, I always love how far back you dig into comic history.
Yes. For example, video on "Lois marries Satan" in issue Superman's Girlfriend #103! OR "Lois Lane marries Jimmy Olsen" in issue Superman's Pal, Jimmy Olsen Vol 1 #21 OR Do a video on the newspaper comic strip in the late 1940s, decided to do a twist - have "Clark Kent (NOT SUPERMAN) marry Lois Lane!" & Lex Luthor tries to keep Lois from marrying Clark.
Surprised they didn't do a "Lois Lane marries The Joker" story. And for a comic series called Superman's Girlfriend Lois Lane she really seems to be dating and marrying anyone but him.
The funny thing about Lois marrying these guys is that they always get kids. And the kids grow and for Superman is like no time has passed, as if they got them in the mail or by stork.
What's even funnier is that in other adaptations, Lex has either dated or married Lois or Lana, or both, and most of time before Clark can say his feeling for them. Superman: Unbound, more like Superman: Rebound, ha, got'em. (Larry is "Black Luthor"... You aren't tan Lex from Superman TAS or Harley Quinn's Lex, but this does have the same energy as Black Tom Cassidy.)

I can't get mad at this pairing other than the way they seriously just phoned in that "omg this is all my fault for picking Lex" ending. I mean, I would have just jumped to "why did I have kids?!"
Well considering that Lois married Lex cuz she didn't get a superman ride, I'm pretty sure she isn't right in the head. Kinda reminds me of the robot chicken sketch, where Lois asks Clark to go back in time to record some tv drama.
Well, the comics code would have never allowed it but _damn_ do I wanna see a Superman's Girl Friend Lois Lane parody comic of Lois marries Wonder Woman.
I love seeing Lex just start helping the world (I always thought that should be evil Lex's play in the comics...surpass Superman based on his mind alone in doing good except Superman would be fine with that so it'd just make Lex more angry) Also a evil Lois and Lex story would be great.
I love that she jumped off a cliff so she could get to work on time. Real moment - does Lois actually get kidnapped all the time or is this just a ploy because she was late. Also I want Zatanna content and Lous marrying content, give it all ❤
I tell you, whenever Supes goes to outer space, Lois either kisses another horse, or marries superman's archnemesis. Also, in 6:40 you can see Luthor in full simp mode, so funny.
I think my favorite thing about this issue is Lois running late for work so she jumps off a cliff thinking Superman will swoop in, save her, and fly her to work, and instead just slams against the rocks and is mortally wounded. Like, I wanted a parody of that, whether done in a game/animation engine or made into an animatic or something. I just need to see Lois cooly plummeting off a cliff and then going "Oh shit" seconds before ragdolling on the rocks.
Is there more of Lois with Lex out there? I ask because up until they bent backwards to send her back to Superman, I found it interesting. Plus, in some ways it could open up the potential for Lois to go evil and possibly lure Lex back into being a villain with her...just saying, lol
several Elseworld stories do have them married for various reasons, the biggest one I can think of would be Superman: Red Son, where Lois has been married to Lex for quite a few years by the time Superman (who crashed in the Ukraine in the 30s in this universe) meets her.
There are at least 2 other pre-crisis stories where they get married. One was an imaginary story in Lois Lane 65. Lois turns evil and marries Lex. They steal the Mona Lisa, and later perform music that is supposed to kill Superman or at least put him in a coma or something. I remember really liking that story at the time. The other was in Superman Family 172. This one isn't an imaginary story. Lex saves the earth from some kind of meteor shower (that I think he created) that would have destroyed the planet. He gets a full pardon and ends up marrying Lois, only to find out it was all a hoax to get out of prison or something. The more I think about it, they probably only almost got married. Sorry I'm not clear on the details, but I was something like 8 when I read it. I'm sure there are others.
Well, the pre-Crisis Earth-3 also had a married heroic Luthor and Lois. They too had a son. It's pretty significant to Crisis on Infinite Earths and Infinite Crisis.
You know for as much as I don’t like the pairing, I don’t blame Superman for dating Diana (Wonder Woman) over Lois. At least she gets his super workload.

How would she have taken to being a rebound rebound? As regards Lex and Lois, remember 2010-2011 action, in the story Paul Cornell wrote where Lex was the focus, and he had a robot Lois? They were a good duo. Wouldn't mind to see them bring her back.
You know, I wouldn't mind seeing Larry Luthor return now that the multiverse is completely reborn. I mean when you think about it, he's just a counterpart of Earth-3's Alexander Luthor, which is actually pretty significant.

Lex's businessman revamp stems from an appearance in an issue of Swamp Thing pre-crisis, where he is called in as a consultant on how to kill Swamp Thing. It was the coolest and most powerful he'd ever been portrayed. So much of post-crisis continuity loops back to Alan Moore.
I’m gonna have to respectfully disagree with Neil Gaiman about post-crisis Luthor being a thin version of Kingpin. I paused @1:51 and all I can think is she's in a perfect position to strangle him drop the match in his lap then get to safety with the kid, taking over his empire and devoting all it's resources to find out who Superman really is, since she apparently is not capable of doing so herself at this point. I feel like it would bring her into direct conflict with Batman, who would by necessity need to sabotage her research as it would easily reveal his identity as well.
Love these videos! I am a Superman/DC fan and I get most of my information from videos like this. Your hilarious interjecting commentary makes it all worth watching! It's like MST3K for the comic book world. And as always, the worse the story writing, the better the commentary. And man! The writing in the silver age was horrible (especially the character development), which makes your show even better. Thank you!
I would have LOVED to read a comic about Lois marrying evil businessman Luthor. Just imagine Superman's face when he goes to confront his nemesis and in his office, he finds Lois slowly turning the chair around saying: "Well well well... I bet now you regret not proposing to me. Also, Lex and I killed Lana so you can't marry her"
why is it Every time she gets married, it's After the kid is part of the scene Then they decide, "okay, now we show everybody why this is bad for her to be married..." if you're gonna screw with things, could you At Least do it Before there's a baby to live through the fall out?!? what, Batman wasn't Enough of a parentless vigilante??
Poor Lana Lang... she will always be in the friendzone. Superman only became interested in Lana once he knew for a fact that Lois moved on and that he has no chance with her lol.
Lois' revelations certainly place her in such awkward relationships. What takes the cake is the literal jump off the cliff scenario. And what's this sloppy second with Lana? That's enough to give a girl a dreadful inferior complex. I must say, those imaginary stories were probably hashed together over a Friday evening happy hour after one too many drinks. Great going, guys. And Sasha, you keep sporting those wigs and eyewear, those are your brand, wear them proud.

I feel like it would bring her into direct conflict with Batman, who would by necessity need to sabotage her research as it would easily reveal his identity as well.
Awsome comic character hair!!! Dark Phoenix & Medusa eat your heart out.
Thank you!
Love the "aircar" 12:06.
2:05 You read that “hmm…” like “mm…” and the minor Clex shipper in me concluded that Superman wanted Lex as his ideal husband
Don't think I don't know the superfamily in the background
I would have LOVED to read a comic about Lois marrying evil businessman Luthor.
Just imagine Superman's face when he goes to confront his nemesis and in his office, he finds Lois slowly turning the chair around saying: "Well well well... I bet now you regret not proposing to me. Also, Lex and I killed Lana so you can't marry her"
From the classic Lois Lane to Lois Lane leaving him behind arc is sorta satisfying.
This video made me realize how the good Lex Luthor is not as usual as the evil Superman trope, at least outside DC.
Lois Luthor?! Lois Wayne?! Supes need to step his game up!
Lois jumping off a cliff has me dying laughing! 🤣🤣🤣
Just discovered your channel and I'm absolutely hooked
YOUR HAIR BABE!!! ITS AMAZING!!!!
why is it Every time she gets married, it's After the kid is part of the scene Then they decide, "okay, now we show everybody why this is bad for her to be married..."
if you're gonna screw with things, could you At Least do it Before there's a baby to live through the fall out?!? what, Batman wasn't Enough of a parentless vigilante??
"I just found out that my day was a major criminal scientist because in this future we may have aircars but we don't have Google."
Poor Lana Lang... she will always be in the friendzone. Superman only became interested in Lana once he knew for a fact that Lois moved on and that he has no chance with her lol.
This is actually quite a nice tragic love story I think. Of course, silly in a way, but for what it is... It's nice seeing people be happy together.
