I'm probably showing my age here but to me there's nothing like a well fettled 2 stroke at full noise, off road or on. This is one extremely well ridden bike 👍🤪
OMG I had a orgasim watching that 500 rip up the ground. What an awesome torque monster. The rider must have had to really put in saddle time to truly understand that bikes power curves and handling. He is very good. The front suspension seems perfectly dialed, the rear suspension seems to softly tweaked. That Yamaha bike is going to give Honda KTM Kawasaki and Gas Gas a hard run for their money. Great Damn vid. Thank you❤❤❤❤
Carson Brown is the most savage 2 stroke rider - and such a nice guy when you meet him too! Plus he could beat most people in a shopping cart...this 500 is going to be an absolute weapon out there!
Bro really said "cone pipe from Hinge." Those guys deserve more respect than that, they build badass pipes by hand and they're beautiful! Guys outta Canada still rocking the old school method. It is HYGGE, pronounced "Hoo-guh," a Danish word meaning "comfy and content."
He did start out with a KTM which it already had fuel injection. But he change that out to a different setup Because it was not getting its Max potential so they put a different fuel injection system in. and to get the most out of it they brought it over to Scotland. there was a guy over there that had a special tuner, he worked with that bike getting a lot more horsepower out of it. That bike they call Kong is something really special. I don't know if the bikes that Kaplan cycle built could keep up with it. I would love to see a race with all of them. I know he had more than one professional racer race that bike against the pros. And nobody has beaten that bike yet.😊
I highly recommend the Smart Carb. I recently installed a 38mm Smart Carb on my 96 KX250. I won't have anything else. Idles sweet when cold. No flat spot either. No jetting needed.
Wr500 was not liquid cooled. They built a bike for the USGP in a yz250 frame for use at Hollister Hills for Broc Glover. It noticeably slowed as it got too hot. He might have won that day if it had been liquid cooled
They say it doesn't slip. Although I'm sure the bearings probably have a shorter service life and the baskets gonna groove out faster if it's just aluminum
I'd like to see you race that bike against the dirt bike they call YZilla, that laser 999 built. That 500 is carbureted also. Then you can test your luck against Kong. That's the fuel injected bike they built. And if you want to test that bike, call and talk to Kaplan senior from Kaplan cycles. He built some top-notch CR500s. race it against Kaplan cycles CR500s. The one he built for his son to race has nothing but the best of the best parts. The CR500 that he built for himself is putting out 60 horsepower at the rear wheel. Now if you Put that bike against any of these dirt bikes, then you'll know what you really have.

The best sound in the world! Only one crticizm and that is the motor costing $900 more than a brand new 5.7 Hemi crate engine from Mopar Performance. Beautiful bike, nonetheless.
Wow. Carson is an animal. He had his 500's throttle pinned and it fully on the pipe and ripping more in this short video than I had my 500's throttle pinned and ripping on the pipe during my 8 years of ownership, which included plenty of D37 off road racing 😂
Why did the 500cc not be the fastest laps times against the 250, or did they? I don’t think they did. Was the 500’s built to much for a human to handle? I know I raced them for 2 years and you need a lot more muscle to handle the bike so that means the bike racers are usually 20lbs heavier which slows them down and also the bike itself is heavier so maybe that added to it. I just happen to notice at motocross de nations that the 250’s would almost always win when in reality if the rider weight is the same a 500 should win. I know in Supercross they were almost useless because that bike was made for high speed motocross
They looked at me and said “ if you can start it you can ride it “ Worst mistake they ever made, mixed up 2 gallons of premium and blendzall 36/1 See you later
