- As a player who has taken multiple accounts into the top 10, I wanted to start a new account and rank it up as much as I can during this current season of Colonist.io. Here is the 1st game, and it gets intense!

One time, in college, DandyDrew and I went 72 games in a row, undefeated, in Modern Warfare 3 duos.
It was a legendary run.

Good win. Orange and Black did their jobs fighting for road, but Blue didn’t threaten army enough, or rather a bit too late. The double city wasn’t even needed lol. Definitely well fought overall, good board work

Nice game, shows how efficient table-talk can be - you survived for a long time through that! I liked your setup, you were a bit unlucky with black blocking you.. unfortunately, black also opened up for orange through that move, so it hurt you twice!

at 18:30, I'm thinking port or trade the wheat to get an extra wood, that way you can kill orange's settle on the ore 3:1 port, and secure a road path for yourself since they're not going to build onto the desert just to spite you.
black was tragic. since the first move it was clear he was absolutely helpless. As first he takes the best spot on the board, ok, but then immediately points the road to the wrong spot. There's almost no chance someone takes 10-9 wheat-sheep, which would be awesome for him, but he instead points to the 3:1 port which he would have never had any competition for. then, the icing on the cake, as 2nd settlement he can take 3-10-11 and start with a road in hand to build to the 10 wheat, but instead he takes the awful 4-11, leaving it to orange who would go crushing early game, and also depriving himself of the chance of ever building a road for the entire game by strading his powerful 5 wood with no brick at all. In end, as a donk, gets milked for longest road only to help you and blue winning the game, which he would have never won himself, having 3 settlement and no cities at all despite going full ows since the start, in his eyes at least. He could at least recognize that it was mandatory for you and blue to leave him road, so he could ask a lot more from you, but he didn't even care.
Orange in the end imo only lost for one terrible decision: he didn't cut u off on the 8 ore. I guess his reasoning was that he wanted the 3:1 port faster, but considering his really good brick/wood production he would have got there anyways few turns later. it took only 1 road more... you would have had no space to build if he cut u off from there.
It is possible, if black plays the extortion game and siphoning cards, then orange still wins, and all was for nothing. As you demonstrated, his situation was pretty hopeless from the start.
He didn't really have a chance, just went with the flow, so I wouldn't be so harsh, for him there was nothing to lose or win anymore.

As you mentioned yourself, DandyDrew, Black just completely gave up his own game to help Red and Blue to catch up on Yellow. He was building 6 or 7 roads (and nothing else) and those roads did not benefit him at all. Does not feel fair that a player with 3 VP decides who wins. :-)

Great video Drew, been waiting for the UA-cam channel to happen at some point. UA-cam needs some high level ranked gameplay no doubt.
PS, during 28:08 turn, why do you hold the 4 wood instead of porting for a brick and trading him brick for wheat? He says he has wood in hand, so making him 4:1 your wood instead of just giving a brick. Unless you are hoping to roll a 6. But in that case your hand would be 4 ore, 2 wheat, 3 brick, wood. So I think that’s a good problem cause you can keep the brick to city + dev -Swood
Thanks Swood, and really good question. Holding the wood is a flexibility play since the 8 sheep just rolled. In hindsight, black needed to push blue for all his sheep to combo it with my wood for maximum roads. Also, if the 6 brick does roll on black’s turn, the potential to secure road long term is most likely winning for me in that moment. Dealing with orange’s threat and staying flexible was my main priority while knowing the the final points will naturally happen with time.

16:40 - Why didn't orange drop the roads on the outer side side of Ore? Could've cut red off from it and completely screw red over?
I guess getting closed to the 3:1 port was more valuable? Or just mistake?
Taking that low production is really strange. He had 3 towns with 16 production between them (blocked+5) at some point. While others were in their 40 - 50 range.... crazy strat.

@12:48 you could have plowed oranged at the 8 ore if you 3/1 your sheep for a brick.
Why not 3:1 wheat to wood in 18:37 and plow orange for his 3:1 settle?
Really good observation! In most cases, I would recommend to take away the settle from orange. Problem is that blue is also a knight away from army too. If I lose pacing on army then my chances of winning are very slim and I don’t have much to fight for. My play gave me the settle + lead on army, effectively a 3 point turn. If blue was not close to army, I 100% take away the settle.
black leaving the 10/9 alone was not it, extortion for a settlement there would have been so good for them
At 31:10, I would have made a mistake by giving blue 1 ore for sheep (he got 4 sheep), pop maybe VP and 2:1 brick for city and gg, I would risk it there lol
I can understand the temptation for that play, but the risk is too high when you consider orange’s production. Better to buy myself time and build up my city production for the win while taking away road from orange. If the odds of pulling a VP were better (25-33%+), I might take the chance on that play though.
