You show nice deflection shooting skills, especially in side approach. For the mission, I think it could be a little more "accurate". If the allies feared the ME 262 and consequently ambushed them at take-off and landings, germans were not so dumb to leave them unprotected, especially during missions. Historically, as the ME 262 needed a long straight landing approach, german feated all the way with many FLAK towers, especially quad 20mm AA, and they were patrolling above the airfield with air cover. FLAK guns were not especially in shortage, at the end of the war.

Lol, ME262 claims are wildly unrealistic next to US loss records. The US kept track of what planes they lost, and to what causes. They didn't lose 550 planes of any kind to Jets in WWII.
@Custom HolyGunZ Most of the resources use contemporary Luftwaffe victory claims and the claims made by veterans decades after the war, neither of which are reliable. The luftwaffe themselves had stopped verifying claims in February 1945 (wasn't deemed that important with their country falling apart and being invaded), where as the majority of ME262 claims were made between March to May 1945, after verification had ended. In short, the 550 claim number is purely based on incomplete surviving documentation and veteran recollections from the 1980's. It is extremely unreliable and does not match up with US loss records, which are preserved and can be used to fact check ME262 victory claims if one has the patience. I've gone through US losses personally for many of the ME262 actions in March and April 1945 (US "INTOPs" reports), including reading the individual loss reports for all US aircraft lost those days (known as Missing Air Crew Reports, for which 99% of lost aircraft have one). ME262s did not shoot down anything remotely close to 550 aircraft. It is most certainly under 200 and may be even as low as 100 aircraft. Whatever technological merits of the ME262, it simply didn't matter much when US escorts were so numerous and the Jets had to come to the bombers. The ME262s had to attack US bombers at X altitude while US fighters were several thousand feet higher waiting to jump on them. In practice, the ME262 units often lost as many aircraft as they shot down, which was an improvement over aircraft like the ME109 and FW190 which were slaughtered when they appeared in 1945, but it was far less than what is often assumed the ME262 really did.
@Custom HolyGunZ US intelligence reports (a.k.a. INTOP's reports) and Missing Air Crew Reports (MACRs) were classified documents at the time, they are not going to lie about losses to jets, otherwise their entire purpose is ruined. How can 8th Air Force Commanders plan missions and counter losses to German jets if they won't even acknowledge what they lost to those jets? If it were official figures released to the public, you could argue propaganda maybe, but internal reports it makes no sense to lie. No, the US records are fine. They even compliment the German jet pilots skill and aggressiveness on a few days when they did in fact shoot down some Allied planes. And it is not just Allied records that contradict ME262 claims, at times Luftwaffe records show no jet sorties on some days, yet in books on JG7 some of these ME262 pilots took off and shot down US aircraft. So you have both German AND American records contradicting what is written in books. Most US aircraft lost on days ME262s flew were lost to flak. This isn't surprising as US raids were consistently suffering battle damage to 50-60% of aircraft dispatched, which indicates very heavy flak concentrations over targets.
@Custom HolyGunZ Well it wasn't suicidal to fly unlike the ME109 and FW190 by that point, but the loss rate for guys flying in the ME262 was still awfully high. It was a technological marvel, but in practical terms it wasn't able to accomplish much given the conditions it flew in. If they could have fielded more jets it probably would have had the numbers to do some real damage. As it was, most ME262 engagements were more akin to hit and run attacks then a sustained air battle. If the escorts scattered the ME262s (which is what actually happened most of the time) then the number of kills were low. On days where the ME262s had clouds and could use the bomber contrails to approach undetected, they could do some damage.
What an amazing mission! And the Allies really did stake out airfields that had Me 262's on them, so pretty accurate to me. Edit: Again, what an amazing mission you made / flew. Edit2: At end of video, safety?

TheSturmovik talking specifically on the me 262, they were slow on landings because of pilot lowering thrust on jet engines to slow down for landing. American fighter pilots in p51s etc picked up on this following them after dogfights and took opportunity to shoot them down before they made it back to Luftwaffe airfields

Not only were the ME262s vulnerable on take off/landing but the temperamental jumo 004 turbojets often played up in combat and the vaunted 540mph top end was not always available thus some were caught in the air by USAAF Fighters as they couldn't get away.
Yes, it's my understanding that a shortage of rare earth metals such as chromium resulted in the use of inferior metals in the fan and compressor blades. The engines were quite literally disposable and easily swapped due to their location under the wings.

Didn't the ME-262 only have about fifteen minutes of flying time? From take off to the site of the battle, seems like a very long way for a plane that can only fly for fifteen minutes! Also, wouldn't it be more accurate if it showed a American plane shooting it down as the ME-262b was on it's final approach to land?
The 262 carried 2570 litres of fuel, I do not have a book at hand to look up the 262s endurance, but Wikipedia states it at 60 to 90 minutes. @@Myuutsuu85 the really stupid ideas of hitler , 2 years more to take producction because the stupid wanted a fighter bomber , and after that the most common one was the "just" fighter model And just one of the stupid ideas of him
@@krosskreut3463 it's a common misconception that the ME262 was delayed because of Hitler. The main reason for it's late introduction was that it was based on highly experimental technology and more than half of the required test flight hours were skipped before going into production. Though the Germans had a lot of high tech machinery available the possible production numbers were still be too low to really matter. The ME262 engine for example (Jumo 004) was a good design considering what was available but still it could have been much more effective if the Germans have had access to Tungsten steel in huge quantities. Also projects like the Dora rail artillery gun, the V2 + V1 and the Maus tank were a waste of resources since their effectiveness in combat was too low to justify the costs. The Germans should rather have concentrated on computer technology, aquisition of rare materials and a streamlined set of vehicles with focus on compatibility. Well one can argue about this for hours but the results of WW2 will never change. One can only remember the mistakes and the horror pictures seen in it and do everything at hand to prevent it from happening again anywhere on the globe.

Not only were the ME262s vulnerable on take off/landing but the temperamental jumo 004 turbojets often played up in combat and the vaunted 540mph top end was not always available thus some were caught in the air by USAAF Fighters as they couldn't get away.
I believe those engines were only usable to a mere 13 hours! It’s amazing what they’ve done with jet engines since.
Yes, it's my understanding that a shortage of rare earth metals such as chromium resulted in the use of inferior metals in the fan and compressor blades. The engines were quite literally disposable and easily swapped due to their location under the wings.
Los primeros en hacer este tipo de aviones y otras armas hermosas ,de por si mejores que todas las tortas de los malos que ganaron por cantidad no por calidad !!!!
I love the Messerschmitt me 262 except if it was an American plane
Didn't the ME-262 only have about fifteen minutes of flying time? From take off to the site of the battle, seems like a very long way for a plane that can only fly for fifteen minutes!
Also, wouldn't it be more accurate if it showed a American plane shooting it down as the ME-262b was on it's final approach to land?
The 262 carried 2570 litres of fuel, I do not have a book at hand to look up the 262s endurance, but Wikipedia states it at 60 to 90 minutes. Where do you have 15 minutes from? o_O
To answer your second question, it is impossible to make AI shoot you down on landing. I tried. Hard.

ahhh, i like to hear the noise of my riedel-starter in the morning.. time to smell the sweet aroma of some burning fortress in my oxygem mast... ;-)

262 more more more! Sorry you just triggered my inner geek. First
Where is the English translation? Lol

V.R. would be fun with this.
Thank God the Germans didn't have that kind of an interceptor earlier in the war.
There would be a lot less snowflakes and ANTIFA if they did...
@@christopherwestern9223 aye.. wanted to make a damn bomber out of it.
@@Myuutsuu85 the really stupid ideas of hitler , 2 years more to take producction because the stupid wanted a fighter bomber , and after that the most common one was the "just" fighter model
And just one of the stupid ideas of him
@@krosskreut3463 it's a common misconception that the ME262 was delayed because of Hitler.
The main reason for it's late introduction was that it was based on highly experimental technology and
more than half of the required test flight hours were skipped before going into production.
Though the Germans had a lot of high tech machinery available the possible production numbers were still be
too low to really matter.
The ME262 engine for example (Jumo 004) was a good design considering what was available but still it
could have been much more effective if the Germans have had access to Tungsten steel in huge quantities.
Also projects like the Dora rail artillery gun, the V2 + V1 and the Maus tank were a waste of resources since their
effectiveness in combat was too low to justify the costs.
The Germans should rather have concentrated on computer technology, aquisition of rare materials and
a streamlined set of vehicles with focus on compatibility.
Well one can argue about this for hours but the results of WW2 will never change. One can only remember the mistakes
and the horror pictures seen in it and do everything at hand to prevent it from happening again anywhere on the globe.
@@Squee7e wow , amazing , thanks for the explanation , and i with you that the v weapons and the maus were the worst option for so valuable resources (maybe modified thelow powered versions of the v2 as the small a5 and fill it with explosive or ap cap would be a better idea and for planes as high altitude bombs or made then a super pc 1400 of lower or more weight and be a sc like guide bomb) , and i would add the cupole , the unfinnished graff zeppelin (for how long was to be for be finnished) and not made for me good proyects as the he 280 with 4 20 mm guns as the early jet (at least for me) or not made the panther f or 2 insteated of the tiger 2 (at least was good that) or the stupid sturmtiger (was a better idea weapin then with a 150 gun as the hummel (or shorter ) and a casemate as the others but nooo beter a low reload super rocket launcher)
Fisheye you shouldn't pick on se, Americanners.
How to know you are playing Germany? Well your air superiority is being bombed in the base while trying to take off lol
Is this war thunder?
Yes, that's why the video title begins with "IL-2 1946" and why UA-cam displays the game cover of "IL-2 Sturmovik: 1946" under the video. Of course it's WarThunder, when the video description answers the question "What game is this?" with "IL-2 Sturmovik: 1946".
it is cool!!
