    I had a cylinder 4 misfire on my 08 Versa.. The actual problem was oil in cylinder 3 via a defective valve cover gasket. You got lucky on this one.

      Sometimes is better to be lucky than good

    Isn't a cylinder four misfire the fourth in the firing order? That would make it the third from left. 1-3-4-2

    • @notchback93
      @notchback93  Рік тому

      Firing order and the number of the order of cylinders are not the same. Firing order is a sequence of events, the individual number of each cylinder and where that is located is what I’m using to determine which cylinder #4 is

    Working on 2011 versa now 1.8 with cylinder one misfire replaced all the coils spark plugs and injectors along with the PVC valve still reading same cylinder 1 misfire???

      So what did you do to diagnose those parts you already replaced? Did you test for powers and grounds to the coils and injectors? Did you do a compression test? You should not replace any parts until you verify they are bad! Also you may have a new part that’s faulty possibly you may have mistakenly created another issue, that’s why you have to diagnose down to a causal issue or part

      @@notchback93 the way the car is engineered you have to pull off air intake manifold to get to parts so I wasn’t just gonna replace one spark plug or just one injector or one coil just to later on down the line have to pull everything back off to replace the others ones makes no sense plus it’s extra work ((preventive maintenance)). I did check for any wore or wiring I didn’t automatically go to a compression test for a misfire I know it’s possible to have a bent valve or broken ring but it’s other things like vaccum lines even the cam/crank sensor I was just wondering if this was a common issue or if you have ran into it before .

      @@ExtremeKustomz615 I understand I just did one last week same situation but I tested the coil it was faulty the plugs were worn and there was no reason to replace the fuel injectors because they were all functioning! So that’s why I’m asking what diagnosis did you preform to know that those parts you replaced were going to fix the issue? It kinda seems like you threw a bunch of parts at it and now have the same problem! Have you gone back to check your work? Did you verify all your new parts are actually working properly? Watch my test and don’t guess video I received 2 faulty abs sensors back to back, maybe one of your knew parts are bad I can’t give you a answer because I don’t know what you have tested and what you haven’t done

      @@notchback93 definitely had to send one of the fuel injectors back due to it being defective . I didn’t check the new coils I’ll have to go back an do so. Car has 200k so these parts where things I needed anyway.

    Okay it’s 2023, does the fire order goes 1,2,3,4 from left to right?

    • @notchback93
      @notchback93  Рік тому

      If you are asking if the firing order is the same from 2007-2023 it very well maybe if it’s the exact same make and model car. But I’m not sure if that’s what you are asking?
