There was 1 Tornado Red MK1 Citi built for Avis #004 As all you know citi Mk1s came in black magic pearl and shadow blue. There is 1 in tornado red #004. This car was given to Avis as a token of apprecition between the 2 companies as Avis purchased over 20 000 citis from VW.

This series is so good!
Someone I knew had a dark red / burgundy Citi with the same white bumpers and stickers. It was factory. It was the only one I ever saw in that colour. It lived in Ladysmith. I still remember the plate number, but won't post it here. I think it might have been an automatic - that part I don't remember.

You missed one is the 1991 citi 1800 sport. It was white a Grey bottom side stickers and bumpers

after the Velociti the ECU went from Mp9( one of the best VW made for 8v)to Mpi( problematic)

they should ve imported them into germany .... we would ve bought this ... :D if it would have been possible to sell it to the germans for around 20 000 euros or less ... they would ve went well ... i would have favoured this over an MK5 golf
