*TRACING TIME* (i guess): - Bass line stays the same till Section B - Drum plays Faster like those Rock falling apart, Rails screeching, sonic foot - Sounds very intense and those "Gotta go fast" but more serious *REFERENCE* - same key as mecha green hill zone - Bass line later use as "Sonic Rush - Vela-Nova" as a intro.
So many memories of playing this on the GameGear and getting a game over on the first boss because of how the screen crunch messes up the GameGear version.
I know the feeling. It could have been a good game, but they really messed it up there. The Master System version is way more playable just because of the wider screen.
when you roll and destroy the marble zone esque bricks the sound effects actually override channels 3 and 2, meaning you only hear the bass and the harmonic ostinato, i dont know if it was intentional but it's a fun bit of trivia about this obscure little sonic game
I know it's minor, but there is a space between the two words; "Under Ground Zone". It's like IceCap Zone, but in this case the words are split when they should be together. Still, an excellent deconstruction! I would love for the 8-bit Sonic titles to get some love on the oscilloscope; I feel like there's not enough of them. Here's to more in the near future!
The hardest Sonic game. The memories of this game are very mixed on GG. Music was never a let down especially green hills. Thanks for the deconstruction!
So I’m used to C64 and NES/Famicom having varying waveforms…do SMS and Game Gear only utilize pulse waves and a noise track? If so, that’s super impressive for those that composed for these games (especially this game - I can’t get enough of this game’s tracks)!
He already did that ages ago, and the only ones that can be deconstructed are only Stardust Speedway Zone (past), Wacky Workbench Zone (past), and Metallic Madness Zone (past), since the rest of the soundtrack is CD audio. And with CD audio, you can't deconstruct it.
Finally some SMS deconstructions. Was worth the wait.
Finally, square wave's time to shine
One of my favorite 8-bit sonic games. It was such a blast to play it back on the 3DS for the first time back in 2012. Good times.
Like sonic blast worst Sms And GG Game (fact Sms version is a Brasilian version)
@@rmcoutinho SMS version was also released in Europe.

That damn antlion thing! So much frustration as a child!
I think the ball bounce height changes from ball to ball on the Game Gear where it doesn't on the Master System.

More 8 bit Sonic.

Probably console limitations.
Delighted to hear this, every track on this cart was excellent. The bass lines are particularly strong

One of the best first level themes in Sonic games

Quite the catchy tune. It's my second favorite from this particular game, Green Hills being the first.
Something amazing really is how they did a drum kit in just one noise channel.
Would love to see Bridge Zone deconstructed

@@LeivenFrestea yes lol i just don’t agree with the statement, the master system has some bangers in a lot of its games

You got a Squary pulse wave and a noise with 2 modes and one of those modes cannot be pitched up or down
