Firstly, the crew is meant to take advantage of the game's definition of "adjacent" to attack the water space they think the shark will appear from and not all stand on the very tile they presume Sully will attack. Second is understanding the shark's Bonus Attack rule. The shark does not automatically attack everyone in the water at the end of the round. Only crew members that are in "adjacent" water spaces can be attacked.
Techinically it was him letting them know he had chosen randomly, that cost him the game. As that information cause them to play to their outs and pick the square they did.

Except for mistake at 1:29:00 and onwards (Attacking a neighbouring tile while your tile isn't destroyed), it was a very exciting game The ending was even kinda cinematic, since shark was defeated in one final confrontation not really due to bad luck, but because it chose to toy with it's prey
Love how the end of that tale is just the lone woman on the planks of a boat with a bloody machete and a song stuck in her head painting over the horror she survived replaying itself again and again “I’m having a nice time” 😂 honestly, that would be an amazing end to a solid horror flick 🔥
sully really needs to learn about the saying "rome wasn't build in one day." because if he chose some sea tiles with less dice he was safe and would tear the boat down safely.
I do believe sharks designed this game. I was watching some of my buddies play and they caught the shark almost immediately, it wasn't even close in the first round, and then he just swam circles around them and ripped everything apart in the second round XD
Only 15 minutes in and we've had an Electric Six gag and an honest to goodness Sharky and George reference. Taking noo prisoners with the nostalgia tonight Laurie, love it 😁
that was an incredibly rough start for Sully, getting tagged on the first turn. Also a very short first phase. Didn't even get to use all his shark abilities. I personally would love to see them play this again sometime
Pretty sure they accidentally cheated I don't think Holly can pick up barrels from the sea. Only the dock. The second barrel she tagged sully with was the one she missed with in the second round
Even if you target the correct space, you are NOT obligated to attack. When Sully revealed his evade 3 ability, you really should have abstained from firing your weapons. Also, you can only play one Chum card during a round, but due to the wasted resources during the round where you broke that rule, I'd say you got appropriately punished.
Fun fact: Amity Island isn't a real place (shocker), but the map for this game is based on the filming location of the movie, Martha's Vineyard, which is an island off the coast of Cape Cod in Massachusetts (and also happens to be where I grew up). Also, the lighthouse featured on the back of the event deck (and on the map in the southwest of the island) is actually a real lighthouse that looks exactly as depicted on the card and in the location on the map in the town of Aquinnah. Also "we're so desperate for tourism because we don't have a McDonald's" is not itself an accurate statement, but the island has a tourism based economy and does not have a single McDonald's in any of its towns

Great play, but i think you made it harder on the shark, when you flip a boat tile in phase 2 all the people should fall into the water for free shark attacks nom nom nom.
Between Sully's absolutely delightful American accent as a shark, followed immediately by some of Laurie's best intro puns ever... you know you're in for a good time.
