I've almost finished my shift on the factory assembly line, when suddenly all the lights go out. Amidst the nervous murmurs of my coworkers, I hear the distant sound of metal feet (clickity-clackity clickity-clackity) as they surround the building. We all huddle together in the darkness, eyes scanning the shadows in fear and desperation. And then we see it: the tiny red lights, blazing in the darkness, fanning out to encircle us, leaving no corner of the factory unseen. The Inspectors have arrived.

I think the major complaint in heavy industry is that the inspection process doesn't have enough phat beats and flashing lights.
Finally taking industrial inspections to the next level, it was on the last level for so long.

Imagine my relief when the security "dog" came slowly wandering out into the back of the warehouse, their familiar and comforting green glow beckoning me. They carried spare keys if you knew the input code, which i did.

Can anyone confirm my doubt that the camera work is done by another one of those robots as well? Can we get the behind the scenes, if that is the case?

Is it actually the next level, or is it going to be like the numerous recent videos showing the same clips of Spot traversing the same factory and looking at the same gauge? Because Spot has been out for two years now and is the current level, no longer the next.
You're a fool if you think they're going to actually show you everything you're working on
if iam not mistaken, they changed/improved the payload. Last time i saw Spot in such a Video, it had either the Arm or one Sensor-Payload. These Spots here have either one arm + Sensor-Payload or a payload of 3 sensors.
But this was only a Teaser for tomorrow it seems.
I suspect that now that they have a competent physical system, most of their effort is spent on improving the AI. It might look like a dog but it's meant to replace people, not dogs! To do that it needs to think like people.
I imagine how helpful will this be for rails inspection.

Question to the wonderful people at Boston robotics, do you guys have farming versions of spot? These lil guys could probably scan and pick entire fields of low bush berries. That’s stuff like: strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, currants. Best part is they tend to grow in small clumps. If an ai was trained to locate the base of that clump, it could pick entire fields. Another step towards the automation of everyday life. Then people also don’t have to work one of the most gruelling jobs I know of. Field picking, 12 hour shifts in the sun. And, farmers would be able to lower prices as they don’t have to pay for workers. Just the electricity bill, or even a solar battery to charge them at night/during the day to pick at night. Just some food for thought to the most advanced robotics company I know of.
